Only I Am a Necromancer - Chapter 497
Lots of mysteries about the Bermuda Triangle have been partially confirmed.
There was a passageway to another world, the so-called ‘wormhole’, in the depths of the sea there. Of course, it didn’t exist anymore because the Necromancer passed through it and reached the world of GMs called ‘Zero Earth 0’, then closed it by exploding three hydrogen bombs.
It’s a very famous fact, which has been passed down to generations after generations as a founding myth throughout the world today.
Woooooooong-
A motorboat made through magical engineering appeared after quickly passing through the water. Four players on the boat were looking around with binoculars to detect mana.
“We’ve found nothing unusual in the northern sea!”
They looked around the area, then turned and headed somewhere.
“Okay, let’s go back!”
But something was strange.
Wooooooooong-
There was nothing around. There were no islands or a mothership for them to return to.
“Are you sure this is the right lane we should go to?”
“Yep! Go straight! This isn’t your first time sailing here, right?”
“I’m sorry, but I’m confused…”
What they saw was the open sea.
In other words, it was not a place where they could carry out any operation with such a small boat because it was certain that the boat would lose power and drift away after sailing on the sea endlessly.
But when they got to a certain point, the space was distorted. It seemed that they entered through a thin veil momentarily. Then something that they had never seen before appeared before their eyes. It was an island.
Whooooooooo-
Shortly afterward, a gust of wind roared over their heads, casting a dark shadow.
“Argh!”
One of the crew members raised his head.
The identity of the shadow was an airship. Three airships were cruising around the island while flying low.
One of them lifted the radio item and shouted, “This is the 3rd maritime search team! We’ve succeeded in entering the first-class security vessel! We will return to the headquarters.”
Then, a voice rang out from the airship.
– This is the Hard Guard. Thanks for coming here. We authorize your entry!
This was the secret facility of the World Tree camp hidden in the ‘mirage magic’.
This small island with a total area of 52 km² was not on the map because it was an artificial island made by GMs when the game started.
Later it was called the Wormhole Observatory, whose purpose was to observe the collapsed wormhole and prepare for any unforeseen circumstances. It was also a space for scientists from the World Tree camp to research the future technology of Zero Earth. Researchers in robes were busy coming to and going out of the main research facility in the basement.
“Damn it! What the hell is going on?”
Red symbols and letters were popping up on the ‘main screen’ that filled one side of the facility. It was a bad signal.
“Check if there are any abnormal signs on the 4th graph right now!”
It seemed that something unusual, or something big, happened.
“The number in question is also abnormal!”
At that moment, the automatic door leading to the conference room opened, and the main executives of the institute came in droves. A giant with horn-rimmed glasses strode out of them and stared at the main screen. He was the head of the lab, Hendrix, who was in charge of the facility.
“Man, what a mess! We’re going to close the tunnel right away. And have security guards around the facility on standby to make sure nothing gets out of this facility, regardless of our guys or anybody else trying to come through that hole!”
Soon, five or six graphs appeared on the main screen, releasing complex information. It was something that ordinary people would not be able to recognize at all.
“What about the condition of the center of the tunnel?”
When Hendrix asked, the chief researcher sitting in the front got up and started reporting.
“We haven’t yet confirmed it, but it’s not normal. Currently, it is being restored about 120,000 times faster than before.”
He swallowed tensely, then shook his head with a serious expression. The fact that he had no choice but to mention such a terrible conclusion made him hopeless. But he opened his mouth, after all.
“The wormhole will open tomorrow morning.”
In other words, the wormhole was about to reopen soon.
“How come it’s possible? What are the GMs saying about it?”
“Well, even Walter says he has no idea…”
Hendrix clicked his tongue at his reply.
“Man, it looks like they don’t know much about what’s going on in their world! Damn it, call Asadal right away and ask them to pay more attention to us because the situation here is getting serious!”
While making a somewhat hasty remark, he began to give orders to the researchers, scanning the graph carefully.
But there was a man among them who behaved strangely in such a tense situation.
He was a guy with long hair tied behind his head. He stepped back and checked his colleagues’ expressions.
He said, “Hey Timmy, I’m sorry, but I want to go to the bathroom urgently…”
His colleague silently nodded, and the man quietly walked out into the hallway. Then he passed by the nearby toilet, turned a corner, and headed to the far-away toilet. He peeked inside, then locked the bathroom door inside.
Clank!
He stepped deep inside the bathroom.
Then he rolled up the sleeve on his left wrist, and gently rubbed the inside of his forearm. Then the hidden symbol on his skin began to glow.
– Preparing for voice transmission…
He cleared his throat and started whispering into the sign on his forearm.
“I contacted you because there was something unusual, which you expected. They are opening the wormhole. Sooner or later, the great men will likely take back the system.”
He swept back his hair, with his hands trembling.
Then he took a breath and opened his mouth again.
“Four hundred suicide squadron members are on standby in Philadelphia. They can occupy this facility at any time. We’re waiting for your order.”
The world was still in a state of confusion and complexity even one year after the ending.
Nobody could control everything, so something went wrong here and there.

Some red lights were flashing near a hill near the Suwon World Cup Stadium.
Wooooooooooooo-
They gradually grew in size, creating a bizarre sight as if a wildfire broke out.
Of course, outsiders couldn’t see this scene because they had cast a spell in advance to cheat people.
Wooooooooooooo-
A whopping 104 wizards at the center of the hill widely sat around in the form of a ring, blowing mana into the center. Mana flowed from them and got sucked into one place.
It was a single roll of parchment where they were supplying mana.
The parchment flapped, absorbing mana, and the symbols written on the inside glowed green.
Wooooooooooooo-
Chairman Lee, standing from a distance, was watching the scene.
He swallowed watching the scene with a slightly nervous expression.
But he made a smile on his wrinkled face soon.
“We’ve obtained two Scrolls of Ruin from the deepest part of the labyrinth, and their linked skills. We’re going to burn everything with them even if our enemy tries to block us by all means. Yeah, we’ll,” he said with a hearty laugh. “They have no idea that our Beast Terror is just a trick. How foolish! As always, those in power are supposed to collapse with one smashing attack by the wise people.”
Then he raised his head, revealing his teeth.
But at that moment the space behind Lee’s back began to distort into an elliptical shape.
Feeling strange, Chairman Lee slowly turned his head. His left eyebrow twitched a couple of times as if he found something strange. It was a portal.
“…”
Soon someone walked out of the portal.
“We’ve found him!”
Those who bolted out of the portal were the White Wolf, Black Lion, and a dozen players. After the ‘White Wolf Forensics Team’ belonging to the Strategic Intelligence Agency tracked him down, based on several clues, they finally came to detect Chairman Lee there.
His face was distorted instantly..
