Anna already planned to reach the city as soon as possible, she is on the highway and it will take half an hour more to reach anywhere near the city arena.

She was on full speed when Rahul’s call came “Anna you have to reach.” He never felt this helpless ever before. He was nowhere near to her and the only way to save her was to get her to reach a city where these killers wouldn’t dare to do something to her.

He is already on the road towards her but he knows he won’t be able to reach on time no matter what. He got a call from her bodyguards, who were also trying to reach her but because of the distance gap from the start they weren’t able to. Rahul understood that her decision to let bodyguards leave was not wrong at all but still his sister’s life was on stake he couldn’t help but curse.

“Rahul don’t worry about me, just don’t forget no matter what you have to reach court tomorrow by anyhow. You are the real head of the investigation team from day one that’s confidential till the last second of the start of the court trial. Till then no one should know. You have to end this.” Anna said with hope of assurance from him that things won’t waste.

“You shut your damn mouth. I am telling you, that you have to reach the city by hook or by crook. If something happened to you I will kill them all” Rahul angrily yelled.

“Rahul… I am trying” Anna said and cut the call. She didn’t want to hear him more or she would cry.

The moment she cut the call Abhijeet’s call came. She didn’t know why but a lump in her throat that she was holding till now suddenly got tightened. She didn’t want to cry but still tears ran down from her eyes to cheeks.

She wanted to pick but didn’t want him to know. The call got disconnected but right away it ringed again. She badly wanted to hear his voice but knew she would break down.

Yeah, she liked him but couldn’t even say that anymore. With a shaky hand she picked up from her steering wheel.

“Hello Anna!” Abhijeet’s desperate voice came from the speaker like he was on an urge to die instead of her.

Anna couldn’t reply but put more pressure on the accelerator to speed up more, but the one who were following her were also in full high speed not far away from her. They kept shooting continuously not regarding anything. The highway was almost empty except for a few cars who got away the moment they heard the firing sound from a distance.

“Annaaa!!” Abhijeet called her to reply. From a few minutes he suddenly felt uneasy all over his body, he felt like something bad was about to happen. Very bad. The first thought came to his mind was Anna. He called right away but she didn’t pick, the uneasiness spread all over his body. He tried again and thanks to God she picked but not replying.

Anna calmed her nerves first by taking a few breath’s and replied energetically like she is used to “Yes Abhijeet, sorry I was picking up some files from the floor. Didn’t hear you”

Though he was relieved to hear her voice he still asked to be assured “Where are you?”

“In office watching a movie, to calm myself for tomorrow” Anna replied thoughtfully, she is sure that he might hear firing.

“Really?” Abhijeet asked with heaviness in his breath, no matter what, even though she replied calmly but it didn’t ease him at all.

“Of course, where would I be then? Today I decided to stay in Govt. Quarter for protection from the army. Tomorrow I will meet you”

“Hmm. Take care of yourself, I don’t know why but I feel very uneasy and kind of scared but thank god you are safe. Stay there today, tomorrow everything will end.”

Hearing his every single word, tears were falling from her eyes continuously. She wanted everything to be end by tomorrow but is that going to end with her? She took a deep breath to calm her and took the right turn for the city and replied “Yeah I am staying here for today. Don’t worry”

“Okay take rest i’ll hang up” He said with a thought that she should rest for tomorrow

She didn’t wanted to hang up, wanted to talk to him, wanted to hear his voice but couldn’t say.

“Anna? I am hanging up biee” He said again but she didn’t reply.

“Anna?”

“Abhijeet..”

“Hmm What happened?” Abhijeet asked when he felt discomfort from her voice like she was scared, but why?

“Abhijeet why are we meeting tomorrow?”

Abhijeet got stiff from her question. Even though he decided to confess, he still didn’t have the courage to do so. He didn’t know how to reply her first already when second question came too.

“Abhijeet do you like me?”

“…” He was stupefy by her direct question but what shocked him was the scared voice she had when she asked him. ‘Does she hate it?’

“Abhijeet do you?”

Abhijeet was scared to answer her but also wanted to reply when he felt desperation from her voice which wanted to know the truth. He felt every single emotion from her voice scared, desperation, grief, helplessness, disappointment, all in one single question.

‘Is she scared that I will say yes, will she be disappointed if he liked her, she doesn’t want this to happen? Does she hate this thought of having him by her side’ Although he was scared to say yes, but he did.

“Yes Anna but I love you” Abhijeet said with a clear voice and in 3 seconds the call got disconnected.

(2 minutes before when Anna asked him)

“Abhijeet do you like me?” Anna didn’t want to be unknown about his feelings anymore, especially when she is unknown about her time span.

“Abhijeet do you?” Anna asked again with desperation. She does hope that the answer will be yes but couldn’t promise herself even. She was disappointed by herself, because she actually realised her feelings when she didn’t even have time? She was in sorrow because she just wanted to confess but can’t because she doesn’t want him to live in despair like her right now.

Anna was already on verge to cry when she noticed that the cars that were following her were getting slower second by second. That was not noticeable if one looked not carefully or with naked eyes of a common person, then something dawned on her.

At this moment Abhijeet confessed but Anna couldn’t hear because of realization of what was about to happen to her.

Someone is going to attack her from the road ahead instead.

Before she could do something five cars came from front and started firing on her car’s bonnet and grill nonstop.

And next second ‘BOOM!!’

The car leapt into the air and fell backwards to the ground and caused a huge explosion.
