“Mom please eat something. It’s totally not good for your health to stay empty stomach for this long. Dad you too.” Dinesh put forward the food containers in front of them. No one ate for two days. It’s really not good for health to stay empty stomach for this long.

“I am totally not in a mood Dinesh.” Ananya said while rubbing her forehead.

“Uncle think about Anna, if she gets to know that you suffer because of her she will blame herself” A voice came from the right side of the corridor.

“Nirmal!” Everyone exclaimed.

They never thought that they would see him this early. They know someone will inform them, but the flight takes 18 hours minimum from there.

“Aunt” Nirmal swiftly went towards Anna’s mother and hugged her tightly to soothe her tensed body.

Jayesh came forward and caressed his head “Why did you come child? We would handle this.”

“Uncle, Aunt she is my only sister too. I don’t want to leave her and her family in this condition.” Nirmal instantly replied. He can’t even think of leaving her sister when she needed them the most.

He turned towards Gautam who was standing beside him “What did doctor said”

“Her internal bleeding stopped this morning again but surgery needs to be done.

We only got half an hour today to see her last time before surgery. In two days two main surgeries will be done.” Gautam replied.

With every word by him, everyone’s body becomes stiff. No one knows what to do. They were all helpless.

Nirmal turned back towards Ananya “Aunt don’t worry. That’s our girl Anna! She never lose in her life. She would definitely not lose the main exam of her life this either. Trust her. She will be alright in three days.” He said.

Nirmal himself knew that the possibility of surgery is low but he can’t lose control of his emotions right now in front of them. Someone needs to be positive and stable minded.

He can clearly see how broken they look, how all of them were struggling with themselves by every breath.

“Take me to her” Abhijeet immediately said this morning when he got his conscience.

Virat held Abhijeet’s shoulder to push him down to bed again. “Brother please rest for a while. And listen to me. I enquired just now, sister- Anna don’t want to meet anyone. I went home too but she didn’t come down. And I was asked to leave immediately.”

This morning for his brother he straight went to her office, but she wasn’t there. Then he went to her house but the workers told him to go back immediately, she doesn’t want to meet anyone.

Earlier he thought that it might be misunderstanding but with her reaction, he felt disheartened.

“Does she want to leave me forever! Did you tell her that I am sick and I want to meet her?” Abhijeet asked expectantly. His heart was beating irrationally. He isn’t able to control himself to contact her, but she closed all the way to contact her. But why? Does she never care about him, like he felt.

“Yes brother but… She doesn’t want to meet anyone.” He told their maid to inform Anna about Abhijeet’s condition. But when the maid came back after informing Anna she just said. She doesn’t have time, please leave immediately.

When Tanya heard all this, she was furious by Anna’s reaction. Her brother is suffering this badly and she doesn’t even care!

“Brother please don’t overthink, her hatred isn’t worth your love. Please forget her.” Tanya said.

“Yes brother please forget her” Virat also stated.

“She doesn’t hate me. She must be disappointed by me. She can’t even see a small cut on my finger, how can I think that she is avoiding me when I am suffering from fever.” Abhijeet said while looking outside the window.

“She must be thinking I am lying. Don’t worry I understand her disappointment. I won’t bother her again. I will leave her but forget her… It’s not possible. Because I know I can’t and I don’t want either.”

When Anna was with her, even trees with dry leaves looked beautiful and now without her the beautiful scenery out his window looks dry. He is missing her gravely but he doesn’t have the courage to face her anymore. ‘Is this the end Anna?’

Tears formed in his eyes.

“Leave me alone.”
