Lori was bored out of her mind. After being dragged by the second Prince to meet his brother the Crown Prince, she was then dragged around again, meeting the Second Prince’s group of friends. Damn! When can I get a break? I’m hella tired!! And this stupid Prince won’t get the hint! Lori sneaks a glare at the Second Prince. She has been trying for an hour now, hinting that she wanted to rest. But he wouldn’t get it. Lori sighed. She wanted them to announce her name soon, so she could get done with her song and win.

[System]: I’m just rechecking, but what song are you doing again?

Lori though for a moment. I was going to sing “Somewhere over the Rainbow” again, if singing that won over the Second Prince, then winning over the rest will be easy peasy.

[System]: great! Looking forward to seeing the surprised faces on these dumb young nobles.

All of a sudden a old looking man wearing a white robe stepped up to the stage.

Old Man: if I could get everyone’s attention please! We will be now starting the annual spring contest for young noble woman! I will now call up the first young miss to step up and sing their chosen song.

A young servant boy runs up the stage holding a brown bucket in his hands. He holds up the bucket. The old man reaches inside the bucket and pulls out a white card.

Old Man: our first contestant will be the young miss from the Wu family! Miss Wu, will you please step up.

A young girl, with long brown hair slowly walks to the stage. She was wearing a long pink dress with peach blossoms and the end of it. An arrogant smile could be seen on her delicate face.

[System]: ah! I know her! She is one of the main characters in a “Sinful Beauty”! If I can recall, she was the Second Prince’s first love before Lilly came along. Apparently she was in love with the Crown Prince and did not want to marry her childhood friend, who was the Second Prince. The Second Prince somehow found out about her true feeling and gave up on her. He did not want to love someone who did not love him back. How pitiful

Lori frowned. Interesting. Flora didn’t notice the evil smile showing on her flawless face. Thanks for the information Flora, I’ll keep that in mind.

For some reason Flora shuddered at Lori’s words.

After thirty other young ladies who performed their song, it was now Lori’s turn. She ended up being the last.

Old Man: finally we have our last contestant! Miss Ling from the Ling family!

Everyone stopped chatting and quickly zoned in on the stage. Everyone wanted to see how talented the young miss from the Prime Minister’s household would do. Some wanted to see her mess up and embarrass herself. The Second Prince grabbed Lori’s hand and kisses it.

Second Prince: I wish you luck my love. But it’s not like you need it, I’ve already heard your heavenly voice. You will defiantly win!

Lori fakes a blush and gives a small bow.

Lori: Rose thanks the Second Prince for his caring words. Rose will do her best.

Lori steps away and elegantly walks over to the stage. All eyes were on her. It was like they were witnessing a goddess leisurely taking a stroll in her garden not having a care in the world. Lori stands in the middle of the stage and gives the audience a gentle smile. Lori takes a deep breath, a voice on an angel could be heard.

Lori smiles and gives a bow to the audience. She looks up to see starstruck faces looking at her. Lori was smirking inside. Got em! Hah! Look at their faces. Lori gave the crowd a worried face. One young man in particular seemed to wake up from his stupor seeing Lori’s worried face. The young man started to cheer.

Hearing the young noble cheering, the rest seemed to wake up from their trance. All of a sudden the whole crowd went crazy! They were clapping and yelling Lori’s name, well Roses anyway. The judges, who were in the front row was shocked. They have never heard such an angelic voice such as that young misses before. Even the lullaby was foreign! None of them have even heard a song like that before.

[System]: man, you defiantly won the crowd over, look at them!

Lori smiles and walked down off the stage. Everyone started to gather around her.

Young Man: Miss Ling! What was the name of that song you were singing? It was very lovely!

Lori smiled at the young man which made him blush in return.

Lori: i created the song myself, I hope you enjoyed it.

Young Man: of course!

[System]: did not…

Lori rolled her eyes at Flora’s comment. What did you want me to say then? That a fat Hawaiian man made this song wayy in the future? And besides, all of these people are just characters from the otome game, “Sinful Beauty”.

[System]: okay, I get the point

Lori went back to enjoying the lime light.
