Our Perfectly Imperfect Relationship - Chapter 25 The Truth
The atmosphere inside the room was tense and cold, with Haeun being the only one burning hot in anger. She was raging as she tries to keep herself rational and not kill the both of them that was in the room.
She knew herself well and she knows she wasn’t one that kills people just for revenge. Also, she doesn’t want to end up becoming a criminal and missing the chance to see Hyomin grows up.
So, she decided to change her plan. If Haeji wants to play it that way, she could too because two can play the same game.
“Hey, slut. Take that shirt over there and wear it now. Cause the longer I see you naked, the urge of wanting to take this knife and shove it up that slutty hole of yours increases. So if you don’t want that to happen, start moving your ass, you bitch!”
Haeun was so annoyed with the women. Even at a moment where her death was right before her eyes, she still tried to tighten herself around Minseok’s dick, causing him to get a reaction.
If she could, she really wanted to just chop off his dick at that point in time. Since Haeun attack him while they both were fucking, so naturally, his dick was still inside that women and the sight of it was making her rage again.
When the women had worn the shirt, Haeun made her kneel on the floor with her facing the wall. With the gun still pointed at her, the women just followed whatever she was told to do.
She still wanted to live and she knows she might if she does what she was told. Though she might lose her biggest source of income, it wasn’t exactly that big of a deal for her since Minseok wasn’t the only one she was seeing.
Even though he spends so much for her and treated her like a queen, she knew he had a wife and being loyal to him wasn’t going to help her much.
for visiting.
She had already expected something like this to happen but she didn’t expect Haeun to be that scary. She honestly pictured Haeun as someone who knows nothing but stays home and cooks for her husband.
But who knew she had such a terrifying skill. If she knew it earlier, she wouldn’t have gone out with Minseok in the first place.
“Since everything is out already, you might as well tell me the truth. What does Haeji want with me? Why of all people, it’s me? I don’t even know her and yet she wants me dead?! Why?!”
By this time, Minseok already felt lightheaded with all the blood that he has lost. And with Haeun still continuing to press the knife harder on his neck, he was on the verge of losing his consciousness.
But of course, Haeun wouldn’t let that happen, not until he spills every detail of Haeji’s plan to her. So she pushed him down on the bed, and pass him a cloth that was nearby.
“Put that against your wound and apply pressure on it. Don’t you dare pass out on me because I won’t be held responsible if you end up in pieces inside some trash bag. So if you want to live, you better tell me now while I’m still asking nicely.”
Though he was in pain and face was buried on the bed, he knew Haeun meant every word that she said. Her voice was soft but he can feel the threatening aura coming from it.
Honestly, Minseok just wants to reveal everything and be done with it. He was tired of being watched by Haeji twenty-four seven every day. He used to be free and control the biggest group in the underworld.
But it was all gone because of Haeji. He had been replaced by his subordinate and was kicked out of the group. All the power he had was gone and slowly, he started being in debt, making it hard for him to not accept Haeji’s offer.
If he thinks back about it, this was all because of Haeji. If she didn’t disturb his peaceful life, he wouldn’t have become such a pathetic guy like he currently was.
Even if he were to reveal everything, it’s not like he could lose more then he already had. He technically had nothing and being killed after revealing the truth might just be a better way to die.
At least, he won’t die with regret of not making it up to Haeun. She has always been nice to him, no matter how he treated her.
If only that incident didn’t happen, he was sure he would have been deeply in love with her. So much that he would probably even betray Haeji for Haeun. And it seems, he still got a chance.
“If I tell you the truth, will you spare my life?” Minseok turns his head to the side, trying to take a peek at Haeun but failed.
“It depends. If your answer isn’t satisfying enough, I’ll obviously end you straight away. But even if you did give a satisfactory answer, I would still end you if I feel like it. Either way, you might still die. So, it’s your choice.”
Haeun relaxes on the bed, knowing that both of them won’t be able to retaliate. And even if they did, she’ll make sure they regret their decision of ever doing so. But because they currently are behaving, she might just spare their lives.
“Hahahaha! You never change, do you? You are still as terrifying as before. I guess I made a huge mistake of teaching you those illegal stuff. If only I didn’t, I wonder if you would still be as cute and lovely as when we first met?”
Minseok’s words made Haeun snort as she smirks. While she did find what he said was true, a part of her actually hated that such a thing happen.
She became like this because he entered her life. Both Minseok and Haeji made her to part ways with her family and leave everything behind, only for her to be treated like a fool. And the worst thing is, she doesn’t know why.
“I wonder.. I guess I would but things happen and you made me who I am today. No matter how I try not to be this way, it’s always you who keeps bringing this bad side out of me. So you should blame no one but yourself.”
By now, the tension inside the room wasn’t as heavy as early. The women by the corner had relaxed herself a bit and Haeun had already put down the gun and started playing with the pocket knife.
Since she technically has no intention to kill them, she decided to put her guard down and ease the mood a little. By doing so, she knows Minseok will start talking by his own free will.
“Yeah, I know. I was the one who tricked you when you did nothing. I made you learn illegal stuff though you were still innocent. I was wrong and I’m sorry about that. Honestly, you don’t deserve any of this.”
Haeun just kept quiet as she continues to listen on what he had to say.
“Since you want to know the truth, I’ll tell you. But can you forgive me in exchange? Because then, I can at least die in peace. You might not believe me but I actually regretted accepting Haeji’s offer. But I’ve got no choice.”
“She made me fell into a huge load of debt and the only way out was to agree in helping her to achieve her goal. I really didn’t want to have anything to do with either of you guys. Like honestly.”
At that moment, Minseok sounded as though he was begging Haeun to believe him and she did, but only to a certain extent.
Haeun knows too well of Minseok’s character and he wasn’t the kind of guy that would lower himself down to women and ask for forgiveness from them.
And for him to do so, it either meant he was desperate or really saying the truth. As of now, Haeun can feel that he was really honest with her.
“And what exactly is her goal? How could I possibly even be in the picture? I honestly don’t get it. I shouldn’t at all posed a threat to whatever her goal might be. So what does she want with me?”
Though Haeun wanted Minseok himself to tell her everything, she was too impatient and annoyed with waiting. After all that had happen to her, she feels like she deserves to know the real reason behind everything.
“You don’t understand. She asks me to keep an eye on you because you are the biggest threat to her goal. Because you are still alive that she feels threatened. If you had died in the first place, you wouldn’t have become like this.”
“Don’t you remember anything? Who you truly are and how important of a person you are? The only reason you are still alive right now lies on a single but very important man. Once she takes control of his status, you are done for good.”
