Outcast Hunter - Chapter 118
Miyamura, using his katana, threw few slashes in the air. He, along with Liu Cheng, got a few days off to prepare for the tournament. “A proper warrior should always take care of his sword, don’t you think?” Miyamura would always polish his sword after a harsh raid.
“I don’t know anyone who’s good at repairing swords. Maybe, you could tell me some.”
Leo and Miyamura exchange a few kinds of stuff about swords. The latter recommended a blacksmith to Leo, who’s good at taking care of weapons..
<Clean Strike>
The air became stagnant around Leo. Multiple fights were currently occurring everywhere on the artificial island. All pro hunters present in the tournament were all monsters. Leo could sense the immense prowess from each hunter and, some are remarkable.
[Nearby opponent has used his skill ‘Clean Strike.’ It is a single strike that disabled you from using your weapon to defend yourself.]
[Skill copying… done.]
Miyamura cleared his lungs. He raised his katana overhead and posed to strike.
‘I wanna see what Miyamura will do first.’
Leo stood there, watching what Miyamura will do. He prepared himself for the incoming strike.
“Come!”
Fiercely, Miyamura dashed through with one goal in his mind, which was to end his fight against Leo as soon as possible.
‘He’s fast!’ Leo thought of blocking the attack using his sword when he remembered what the system stated about ‘Clean Strike.’ Instead of defending himself from the strike, Leo lunges towards the incoming Miyamura.
‘What? Did Leo knew how my skill works?’ Miyamura won’t be able to strike Leo down with how close the latter was.
I forgot to add, forfeiting is also part of the rules. If one participant’s unable to fight or surrendered, they’ll be out of the competition.
《Clean Strike》
Leo, when using his skill, he activates it just by using his mind. He didn’t want to mutter it or want the others to hear him casting an ability. Well, that goes for the others too.
‘Yabai! I won’t be able to dodge him such a close range!’ Miyamura canceled his skill, ‘Clean Strike,’ to use his katana to defend himself.
Leo noticed that Miyamura was going to block his sword. He formed a grin on his face at the thought of giving his enemy a taste of his own medicine. Although, Leo doesn’t want to hurt Miyamura that badly. He shifted the sword from his hands. The edge of the sword was pointed away to Miyamura.
“This will be one hell of a clean strike!”
Intentionally, Leo swung his sword to Miyamura’s right flank. The latter, having seen Leo’s bold move, he switched from offense to defense.
Unfortunately, Miyamura has no way of protecting himself from the strike. Leo had activated the copied skill, ‘Clean Strike.’ Miyamura won’t be able to use his katana to defend himself.
Everything went slowly for both of them. Leo watched Miyamura’s expression before his sword connected to the latter’s body, even after his sword went past through Miyamura’s katana.
Miyamura gritted his teeth as he slowly watched Leo’s sword and defended himself at the same time. Though, the latter failed to happen.
“What?!” He didn’t expect Leo’s sword to went past through his katana, enabling him to defend himself. Miyamura braced his flank, making it as hard as he can to minimize the damage. He was like a tennis ball that got struck by a racket. Miyamura flew away. The force exerted by Leo was unexpected in his side.
“Wh-what just happened?! Pro hunter Leo Nicholas sent Asia’s King Miyamura Kentaro flying!”
Others just haven’t seen what happened at that split time. The recording team replayed the scene, and it gained a lot of comments from everyone.
Struggling to stand, Miyamura prompted his arm and surge from the ground. “Y-you… Did you just copied my skill?!” One of the things Miyamura hated, copying the others’ skills. He’s opposed to these kinds of people, where originality does not exist within them. People who chose to use stolen or copied skills instead of learning their own abilities, they’re what he despises the most.
“It wasn’t my fault that I was blessed with copying skills.” Leo acted a bit arrogant in front of Miyamura, which angered the latter even more.
Miyamura pointed a finger at Leo. “I’ll defeat you at all cost!”
