Completely flabbergasted at Leo’s strength, Polony’s excitement reached its maximum rate. Leo kept pushing Polony back as he pours all of his remaining strength to overpower the confidently arrogant Destroyer.

“You’ve suddenly gotten stronger! You must have used someone else’s skill to gain power!”

It was all because of Liu Cheng’s skill, Steel Resolve. Leo gained strength from the effectiveness of the ability.

“I thought your magical armor can dispel any magical skills? How come you’re having a hard time dealing with it?”

Leo shifted his eyes to Liu Cheng and Miyamura. His eyes were speaking to the two, telling them to do something as he keeps Polony busy..

Both nodded, understanding what they need to do. From both flanks, Liu Cheng and Miyamura jumped up high, reaching Polony.

“From both sides, huh? Okay, come! I’ll deal with all of you at the same time!”

<Retaliation>

The user lets himself get attack by his enemies. After taking damage from the enemies, the user will automatically retaliate. The downside of the skill is that it can be avoided or dodge.

Without blocking Miyamura’s and Liu Cheng’s slashes and strikes, Polony took all the damage, shredding some parts of the magical armor into pieces. Polony didn’t seem to be in pain although, he was attacked multiple times. He stayed silent, waiting for the skill to take effect.

“Something’s wrong about him,” said Miyamura. Polony was slightly looking down.

“You just noticed that?” Liu Cheng thought that Miyamura’s throwing a joke.

Miyamura, on the other hand, couldn’t see the expression on Polony’s face. He tilted his head to see the expression on Polony’s face. He frowned when he couldn’t still see Polony’s look. So, he tilted his head even more to have a look at Polony.

Terrifyingly, Miyamura saw the grotesque wide grin on Polony’s face. The latter then met Miyamura’s eyes that sent shivers down Miyamura’s spine.

“Liu Cheng, dodge!” Miyamura’s loud voice pulled Liu Cheng back into reality. The latter was thinking that they were able to kill Polony with such puny attacks.

Polony counted the cuts and slashes he took from the attack. “About a fifty cuts,” Polony said after he suddenly stayed silent. “That’s about a hundred and fifty!”

Slowly, the ball of fire was slightly pushed back as Polony created a shockwave, releasing magic-created slashes towards Liu Cheng and Miyamura.

“Shit! What’s that?! His skill?!”

There’s no way of dodging the multiple slashes in mid-air. They either block the attack or have themselves get cut. But then, Miyamura remembered his skill Neutralize. He didn’t wanna use it for the second time since he doesn’t find it good to use.

<Maneuver>

Skills these pro hunters were hiding were all being shown one by one. They were saving their skills in case of a predicament such as this one, where Liu Cheng has no way of dodging. And he doubted he can block all of it.

Maneuver let Liu Cheng move whilst in mid-air. He was able to avoid the retaliation of Polony. Unluckily, one slash wasn’t noticed by Liu Cheng that led to his foot getting cut off.

“Ooooohhhh! I was pretty sure that Retaliation’s the one who’ll finish these two small fries!”

Liu Cheng groaned in pain as he aid himself, stopping more blood from gushing out of his wound.

“My foot! Argh!” Liu Cheng wrapped around a cloth to stop the bleeding. Having trouble standing up, Liu Cheng stood on one foot. “I’m changing the saying now! It’s not an eye for an eye or a tooth for a tooth! It’s now a foot for a foot!”
