Outcast Hunter - Chapter 132
Every time Leo’s sword and Quill’s electric-made touches each other, electric shocks would be sent to Leo, causing him an occasional strength loss. He would nearly lose grip of his sword and unwillingly let Quill land an attack, a decisive one.
“What’s wrong? You seemed as though you’re exhausted.” For some quiet reason, Leo’s strength, he feels like it was slowly getting extracted out of him as the fight against Quill lengthened. There was a mockery of Quill’s word, which the latter blatantly shows.
Leo let out a grin on his face. He tightly clutched on his sword and answered Quill’s question, “yeah,” he replied coldly. “I’m getting tired of fighting you.” Sarcasm and mockery filled Quill’s head and, anger once again rose from inside him.
“You fucker!” What irks Quill’s the most is that when he’s trying to agitate and said harsh things to Leo, all of those ends up going back to him. “Everything about you annoys me!” He forcibly pushed Leo away and rapidly attacks him furiously, thunderously.
Parrying two swords at a time with such precision came out to be a tough one. Leo’s losing speed while Quill’s gaining more as time passed by. A battle of attrition is out of the option because Quill, with his endless stamina, fighting him longer than puts Leo at a disadvantage. Also, the rift in the sky will open at any moment. Leo can’t let that happen. He’s feeling something horrible is about to happen. Therefore, he intended to end the fight before the unprecedented occurs.
Before putting his head back to the fight, Leo had a final glance at what’s reduce of Natalya. Instead of feeling remorse and sad, Leo smiled, knowingly thinking that he could always bring her back to life. All of a sudden, Leo jerked his head away, almost slanting his body. He looked like he was floating itself.
“Did not expect you to dodge that.” Impressively, Leo continuously tilted his head to both sides as Quill tries to pierce him with his electric sword.
“Are you really part of the Destroyers? You don’t feel like one, though.” If Leo puts his mind and strength to it, there’s nothing that he won’t be able to cut using his sword. He slightly back off, put his left foot a little further from the back as he posed for a swing.
“Aren’t I a little too far from your sword’s range?” Grinning at the stupid thought of Leo not reaching him, Quill drew a line on where Leo’s sword would reach. “This is the farthest.”
“Are you sure about that?” That annoying smile that irks Quill every time flashed through the latter’s eyes. “I might be able to extend my sword’s length.”
“Hmm…” he ignored Leo’s words and took him for a fool. “Who are you fooling here?”
Leo took a deep breath and heaved a sigh. ‘It was a warning.’ Everything has been thought of already. From where he stood, he’ll launch, no not launch but, he’ll…
In the blink of an eye, right after Quill did so, Leo in front of his eyes vanished. ‘Did he use his invisibility, again?! Don’t fret. Wait for him to appear. You’re faster than him!’ Unpredictably, Leo popped out in front of him, about a meter away from Quill. “What?! I was wrong to think to that he’ll appear behind me! However…”
Thinking that he had seen through Leo’s motive. Quill leaped back, getting out of Leo’s sword range. “I’ve got you now! Haha—?!” His sinister laugh came to a halt. He had changed his electric sword into a bow and an arrow. A little bit different from what happened to Amanda, Quill’s vision span vertically, not knowing what happen until he had a clear look at what Leo was holding.
“A scythe?! B-but, wasn’t he using a sword?! Was that what he meant by extending his sword?! Ah, I see. It was Death’s scythe all along. I didn’t know that it could turn into a sword.”
Leo had used his Cloak-and-Dagger skill but, he didn’t move an inch from where he was. After preparing the sword to change into a scythe, he used his Misty Step to teleport in front of Quill in which the latter expected at the very least. Right after the Destroyer leaped, the sword had turned into its original form, Death’s scythe.
“I was warning you. Not spouting some stupid nonsensical things.”
