Outcast Hunter - Chapter 133
Exhaustion soon rallied down on Leo’s body. He felt the burden heavily weighing him down. Therefore, he unmindfully lied on the ground. He heaved a deep sigh and, as he closed his eyes, his mother’s face flashed to his mind.
“I should hurry back to where Mom is, right now! But before that, I need to revive Natalya.” He brought her back from the realm of the dead and, she went with him onto where Leo’s Mom was staying.
Mrs. Nicholas had calmed down after Jin reassured her that Leo was safe with all the commotion outside the island. Aophy and the others didn’t leave her side just as they were told by Leo.
“Mom,” barged in Leo. “Of course, you’re safe and sound.” Having Aophy and the other by his mother’s side was a huge relief for Leo. “Uh, Mom, this is Natalya. She’s one of the participants.”
The fine lady elegantly bowed her head and greeted Mrs. Nicholas. Leo’s mother did the same with a sweet smile on her face. A smile, questioning Leo via mother-and-son connection.
“I didn’t know that Russian women would be so dazzling, even with all the blood and dirt on her.”
Natalya felt somewhat embarrassed in front of Leo’s mother, for she’s all dirty and her hair was messy.
“The UHA should start evacuating the civilians on the island,” started Leo.
“Why aren’t they making decisions yet?”
“You wouldn’t believe what the Philippines Hunters’ Association said to me!” Infuriated at what Jegudiel said, Natalya lashed out in front of everyone. Eventually, she realized what she was doing, embarrassed at herself again, stopped making a fuss over what Jegudiel had said. Her eyes lowered as she apologizes. “A-anyway, the director said that the ship that will take the civilians away from the island had just arrived before I went
back.”
“Sweet. Mom, we need to go.”
They buckled up and began towards the ship that will transport Leo’s mother to a nearby country back to the Philippines. After exchanges of assurance and farewells, Leo went to meet Jegudiel along with the others, leaving her mother to the UHA’s hands.
“Are you sure about sending your mother like that?” Asked Aophy.
“If I know that the Destroyers would invade the island, I won’t bring Mom here with me.”
Outside the building, in the middle of the island, they all stood impatiently waiting for the rift to open.
“I-It’s finally opening!” Devi exclaimed, aware of what’s behind that gate.
“They are here. Brace yourselves on what’s about to come!”
They steeled themselves as they looked up the impending danger emitting by the rift in the sky.
“Earth sure has some nice air.” The voice resonated from the gate as parts of the Destroyers body revealed themselves.
“I don’t sense Polony’s, Amanda’s, and Quill’s presence anymore.”
“They are dead. Well, they don’t really fit the title of Destroyers since they weren’t real members.”
Right after revealing themselves, Leo sensed the great danger they will be facing from thereon. Amanda, Quill, and Polony weren’t Destroyers. They were candidates for the titles and, now that they have died, the titles will go to waste.
Multiple gates with uneven sizes appeared after the Destroyers. Jegudiel locked eyes with one particular Destroyer with who he has a past conflict.
“Don’t tell me those gates bares hundreds of monsters.”
“Don’t tell me you’re getting scared, Jin,” asked Drago mockingly.
“Huh?! Why should I, when I can’t die?!”
Butting heads in front of Leo, they have no shame. “Stop that. We have more on our hands than we expected.”
Natalya, along with Aophy, gathered all of the pro-hunters who can still fight alongside them.
“I hope this much is enough for us to win this fight, right?”
Swarmed by the top hunters across the globe, Leo smiled, thinking that winning isn’t impossible for them.
