Outcast Hunter - Chapter 138
Inside the perfect cube, Leo and other Destroyers were fighting. He has nowhere else to go. He was cornered and was being overpowered and outnumbered. Heavy panting came out of his mouth as blood spewed itself in bulk.
“What is your purpose? Why are you residing with these ungrateful humans when you could just watch from the sidelines as we eradicate their existence.”
The peering gaze of the Destroyers waited for Leo’s response. Their impatient demeanor made them act more violent throwing punches, kicks, and magics towards him.
‘I’m rapidly losing HP. I feel faint. My mind going hazy and I’m losing so much blood. This is not good.’
From outside of the perfect cube yelled his resurrections, banging on the cube as they rode dragons and wyverns.
‘It’s no use. There is no way of breaking through this cube.’
The perfect cube also restrained him from using his full power. He felt weak and powerless against the Destroyers in front of him.
“Why don’t we just kill him? He’s useless after all.”
“Yeah. Let’s do that. I can sense three Graces inside him. That much Grace should have made him powerful to go against us, Destroyers.”
“Something is amiss. I’m feeling strange, really strange.”
The four Destroyers, agreeing to one decision, finally dealt the decisive blow on Leo.
“No!” Screamed everyone, who knows of his situation. “We gotta save him!”
“Oh, you are not going anywhere.”
Holes from head to toe were punched through Leo’s body.
‘My left eye. I can’t see with my left eye. Argh! My arms! They are also gone. Look at the state I’ve reduced to. I’m torn to pieces.’
For some reason, Leo felt peaceful. The sounds of the skirmish had vanished, all the pain and the agony were fading away. His burdens, too, were dissipating.
‘Ahh, so, this is what everyone would feel before they die. Free of all the worries and burdens, free of the deafening sounds of agonies, and free of all the problems you’ll have to face tomorrow.’
“He’s dead, yet the Grace is not revealing themselves!”
Inside Leo’s mind flashed all of his memories. From when he was born, until he slowly grows up, up to when his father left and up to the day he died.
The surroundings were pure white. It was blinding. It was unendingly bright. Leo was not able to open his eyes.
“How does it feel, dying that is?”
A warm, soothing voice echoed inside his head. It was so comforting he wanted to hear the voice over and over again.
“It felt light, right? All those heavy burdens you were carrying vanished in an instant, right?”
Leo’s hearing sense sharpened, trying to find where the voice was coming from.
“Your Mom, she’s doing good, I see. She hasn’t even got old. She’s still the same when I first met her.”
Leo was now certain that the man who’s talking to him was his father. Eagerly, he tried to open his eyes and find where he’s coming from.
“I’ve missed you, my son, Leo.”
Slowly, Leo’s eyes opened themselves. In front of him gave Leo a warm, longing hug from his father that had left them a long time ago.
