Overgod Of Yggdrasil - 2 Supreme God
Shin with his IQ 190, was able to get an idea of his situation after a moment.
(AN: IQ of 190 should be high since Albert Einstein had an IQ of around 240.)
What made him even surer was his statue floating above him. His statue was still looking down at him, seeming to ask why he was confused about his situation.
Shin was sure that he was inside the game or inside another world, either way, he wasn’t connected to Earth anymore. As a Dev, Shin knew there wasn’t a Yggdrasil II, and if there was, he wouldn’t have wasted his time being upset at the fate of the first game.
Still gripping his halberd, he commands his statue to return back in place. His statue was a rare statue created by rare materials, making it extremely powerful, however, what was even more amazing was the fact it had half of his power and only he can control it.
Shin relaxed, leaning back on his throne, wondering what he should do now. He was free from his captor, Earth, and his job as a Dev. He had nothing to do, but if he was in another world, he could explore and have fun and if he was in the game, he would probably be the only sentient creature around, making him probably go insane, especially since it seemed he was stuck in his game characters body, which was immortal, ‘undying’.
He removes his helmet, exposing his pale features, with long black hair that was thick as vipers. His eyes were golden like two solar suns, his brows we’re sharp and imposing. His ears were pointed, not unlike an elf.
Shin taps the place in front of himself, causing a screen to appear. He was looking at the data of the guild. He saw the date capacity remain infinite, which was placed by Mark Twain after his begging. This was a feature that made it so, as long as he conquered land, the guilds data capacity will increase and the World Tree Guild would become an entity like Yggdrasil if not stronger.
Shin conjured five mirrors in front of him, looking at the five worlds he created and was amazed. Everything seems to have changed and move according to the script he wrote but also different as well.
*
Hell, the roots of the World Tree was covered in dark clouds and infernal fires. The demons, devils and the other fiendish creatures could be seen with many see-through figures chain up behind them, being drag across literal magma.
These demons we’re working as a group and where we’ll discipline, not something one would expect from creature symbolic with Evil.
The Nether World was covered in green fog, along with an uncountable amount of lanterns, floating in the skies of the world. The lanterns, we’re odd and seem to contain a mysterious power.
This world was operating as it was written in its backstory, it collects all the souls of the dead, and judge them if they should go up or down.
There were many undead beings roaming the land of the Nether World, absorbing the green fog, increasing their capabilities to an alarming figure. Unlike Hell which was more brutal and savage, Nether World seemed to be more civilized with far more rules set in place.
Earth was more joyful and lively than both Hell and Nether combined, seeing as it houses almost all the living creatures of the guild.
Above the blue skies of earth, a large red sun seems to blaze the skies crimson, however, oddly enough the ground was not hot. Also in the skies was a large rectangular moon that looks odd and unsettling for some reason. The moon also expressed more pressure on Earth than the sun, especially since it occupied a larger portion of the sky.
The ground was full of life, many creatures in fact, while not all the creatures from Yggdrasil, many of them where there. Humans, which seem to control an entire continent, with many cities, countries, and states. Elves share a continent with many other races such as Dwarfs, Centaur, Beastmen, etc. Dragon that lived in harmony with other beasts, such as Phoenix, Griffins, Hydra, etc.
Heaven, the destination of all the good and bless souls that have been judged in the Nether World. The Tower of Heaven which was located on the many colorful clouds, pulse and tremble to send shockwaves across the heavens, only being stopped by a divine looking bridge that pierces throughout the nine floors of the Tower of Heaven to the outside.
The bridge was pure blue, which was it seem as if was made of water.
Inside the Tower of Heaven, Angels and many other divine beings we’re moving like clockwork as they go from one level of the tower to the next. The Tower of Heaven seems to have divided into different worlds, with different beings residing on them. The first level, which is also the largest was occupied by seen through people, which were the new souls that went to heaven. The second floor consisted of angels, and so on.
(AN: I want to create a sense of mystery, which I Hope was achieved with this version.)
The last world, Golden Nation, which Shin currently resides at, was stagnant with everything remaining the same, just like in the game.
Giants, Titans, dragons, etc, constantly scope the world, looking for any threat or enemies. While working, the sole continent of this world, Divine Continent, operating just like Earth, only the inhabitants were like heavenly pillars with their large size. A breath from these figures could cause a mortal from Earth to be blown away.
As everyone goes about their day, once noon struck, no matter what they were doing, even if they were killing each other, they stopped and kneel towards the floating statue in the skies, with devotion and piety as if seeing their God.
*
Witnessing all of this himself, even though it took a couple of days to make sure he was not missing anything, he was, please. During this time, he was surprised that he was not tired or hungry. Shin felt he could go on for eternity without a sip of water or food.
Looking back towards the screens in front of him, he concluded all the NPCs gained genuine life and were not different than humans back at his old home. They were probably better, especially since they don’t use technologies that could corrupt this world like Earth. What was even odder was even the World Tree which shouldn’t have life, had it. How he found out was because he felt a connection like a [Message Spell] in his head, from which a baby voice came out of.
For some reason, the World Tree calls him ‘Father’, which he accepted after some thought. He did help in its creation, it was his idea for it to be a tree, however at the end of the day, Mark Twain was its creator.
When he closed his eyes, he felt a towering life force that was like flames that couldn’t be extinguished. The flames seem eternal, especially when he felt a familiar aura from it. It was his brand or his connection to the World Tree. It was the connection that was formed after he made himself the Guild Weapon of the guild. He still had complete control over the guild.
Shin tried to sense things other than the World Tree and was amazed as he could see everything inside the guild, from the soul of someone to the number of wrinkles on their skin. Shin felt he had ascended from a mortal(Earth Body) to become God. It wouldn’t be far off since as a Chaos Titan, there was little he couldn’t do.
Sitting on his throne, Shin’s mind wonder, ‘I’m the Guild Master of the World Tree, which should make all the NPCs unconsciously obey me. However, I can’t work on assumptions, I need tangible facts, my new life depends on it. If all my power works as in the game, even if all the NPCs rebel, I can steamroll them. If that doesn’t work, hahaha, with me making myself the Guild Weapon back in the game, I control their life and deaths!!!’ Shin golden eyes emit a cold light before shining bright again, making it seem one had imagined the cold light. Maybe even he wasn’t aware of it.
“Now, it all comes down to me still having my powers. I need to find a place to test my power, mmmm, Golden Nation is a bad choice too many high tier NPCs, Heaven is a bad choice as well, if the Tower of Heaven went into attack mode, even I will have to be careful. Earth is the best choice, not a lot of strong NPCs, and more space to test my strength.” Shin got up from his throne with the halberd in his hand, Shin walked towards a teleportation gate, preparing to descend to Earth. The reason he didn’t just teleport was that although he was the master of the tree, that doesn’t mean he was stupid enough to risk his life on a gamble.
To teleport anywhere inside the guild, it’s best one use the teleportation gates scattered across the tree. If one tried to teleport across worlds, the Void Serpent can easily send you somewhere you wouldn’t want to be. However, if you use the teleportation gates, the Void Serpent cannot interfere other than not activating the gates.
Shin walked near the door of the Throne Room and look down at the circle engraved on the ground. He had placed the circle there because he wanted to be able to intimidate anyone teleported here, especially as he acts the part as a God. He was after all a big fan of the old books of the Pure Era of Earth, where individuals would be brought from their worlds and go on missions at the request of the God that summoned them.
(AN: I think anyone can figure out what books I’m talking about, Light novels, more accurately, Isakai novels)
It was a shame that he never got to play that role. No one had ever attacked the guild, maybe no one other than some Devs even knew the guild existed.
Stepping inside the circle, Shin’s vision turns black before recovering as he arrived in an unknown place. Then closes his eyes sensing everything and knew he was on Earth, on the Beast Continent at that, far away from the two Guardians of this world, Gaia and Raul.
(AN: I’m going to call this ability which he uses to see the entire guild with a God view, World Connection since he relies on his connection with the World Tree to activate it)
Earth as the main focus of the guild had more protection in the form of Guardians, which numbered two, Gaia, Mother Goddess, and Raul, Emperor of the Earth.
Using [World Connection], Shin didn’t sense any powerful creatures in his immediate area, so he ventured deeper into the Beast Continent.
As he went deeper into the continent, the young trees that were around him, transformed into Ancient Trees. These trees were tall and robust, being difficult to fell, as they could be used to make powerful items. If one goes deeper into the forest, one could probably find ones that could be used to create Divine Class Items. Of course, one would have to survive first, as this place unlike the two other habitable continents, Alliance Continent and the Human Continent, was run by the laws of the jungle, only the strong survive here, with the bones of the weak beings becoming fertilizer. However the benefits of this continent were also the biggest, the resource was immense.
The reason he was going deeper into the forest was that he needed to find opponents to test his mettle against. True, he could stay here and test his skills and magic, however all his thoughts where on the big picture, could he handle himself in a battle? Game and reality were different after all.
He soon reaches a very deep inside the continent arriving next to a large lake with many gathering of beast, not creatures like dragons or other mythical creatures.
These creatures where natural spawning creatures of Earth, containing barely any intelligence, however for all he knows, that wasn’t the case anymore.
Each world had there owned natural spawning creatures, which he could control, like turning the on or off switch.
For example,
Hell had Lesser Demons, which are control completely by Devil Kings and the Devil Lords which were under them.
Nether World, had spawning undead, like Lichs. They are under the Yama Lords and Yama Generals.
Heaven had spawning fairies, which while not angels, fit into Heaven perfectly, with the Archangels and the Celestial Lords above them.
Golden Nation had golems, with the Supremes and National Gods, overseeing everything.
Looking at the lake, he saw the beast we’re drinking and grazing around the lake. He noticed there wasn’t any powerful beast amongst them, which is to be expected since the spawning function of the guild could only spawn creatures level 40 and below.
‘its time to begin.’
Shin grabs his halberd, rising it above his head, closing his eyes in the process. He felt a sensation rising from his body to his weapon, making him bring his halberd down,[Strike of Heavens Monarch]!!.
As he brought his halberd down, he opened his eyes, looking at the [Strike of Heavens Monarch] which cause a vertical rift in the fabric of space, which advances forward like lightning.
The rift as it advances, expanded reaching a stage bigger than it’s initial appearance.
All the beast at the lake became the target of the attack, from a few in the beginning. As the strike advance, everything was sucked inside the rift, disappearing from the world forever. It was like a bottomless black hole, absorbing even light.
The beasts further away, all tremble in fear and retreated deeper into the Beast Continent, not caring about the Beast Lords deeper inside or the danger involved in their actions.
Even though they were dumb, instinct sometimes is for better than intelligence. Some stupid fools even with the scent of death before them, would still investigate, only to end up dead.
(AN: Ever watch scary movies?)
The surface of the lake rock back and forth violently.
In the wake of the huge rift, the entire skies of Earth turned pitch black like doomsday was nearing. Many people, strong and weak alike, had a stern expression on their faces, as they were frightened. Not many beings could cause the world to descend into chaos like this. Fortunately, it only lasted for five minutes before disappearing.
Shin was somewhat amazed as the [Strike of Heaven’s Monarch] had become stronger than how it was in the game. In the game, it was explained that this attack was stronger than [Reality Slash], which was a Ten Tier spell, but from what he saw, it was approaching the level of Super Tier abilities, which was frightening. If all his high-level spells and skills were this powerful, what about his Super Tier Spells? He didn’t dare to test it while on Earth, he rather does it outside the tree.
Since his skill work better than he expected, what about his magic? Shin put away his halberd, raising his hand, casting [Summon: Frost Giant].
This Summon magic was a feature of the [Cotrollor of All] job class and was a Tenth Tier spell. It makes it so he could summon all kinds of giant creatures, from Titans to Giants. Of course considering many things seem to have changed, he could probably summon the World Devourer all though it would remain at level 100. His summons cannot exceed that level.
As Shin cast his spell, the skies over a portion of the Beast Continent darkened with thunder roaring, followed by snow falling from the skies. The trees in the area tremble and all leaves fall off as they became frozen popsicles, waiting for summer.
A magical circle surrounded Shin as a hole opened inside of it, seemingly leading to the depths of the earth. Shin thought for a moment and conclude it was because he got the [Controllor of All] after battling gods of the Olympus Pantheon and the god he killed most of the time, every-time he spawns was Hades. As a reward for killing god Hades, he gained the [Controllor of All] which means when he uses a feature of it, Summons, it would open the ground and make his summons come out. After all, Hades rule over the earth.
The Summon of [Controller of All] has two functions, which are Regular Summons and Force Summon. Regular Summons is what I get after obtaining a summon magic. Like an undead caster would innately be able to summon lesser undead. Force Summon is where one subdue creatures and forces it to accept the summon contract.
In the game he had never use a spell of any kind other than his Dev skill, [Rule Creator], as he was a big fan of warriors, however, he knew his weakness would be magic, that’s why he created the Chaos Titan as they were blessed with both magic and warrior skills.
Stepping through the hole from the ground, which soon disappears, was a fifteen meter tall Frost Giant, which cause the already cold place to freeze over. Shin was okay since his race had resistance and mastery to all magic.
The Frost Giant look around confused as he remembered dying back in Jotunheim against those Asgardians. His lord, Fallen Prince of Asgard Loki had a scheme of obtaining the position of the All-Father, however, they were defeated by the Asgardians as they obtain aid from the ‘Outsiders’. So no matter how he saw it, he should be in Hel or even Tartus however he was here alive in a beautiful world, unlike his home which was cold and hellish. His world was still the best for him since he regained his lost energy and was nigh unbeatable, he said nigh unbeatable since he had fallen in the end.
(AN: I know Tartus belongs to gods of Olympus, a place were Titans and another powerful being that hated the reign of Zeus or fought him in the War of Gods and Titans resides. The war where Zeus killed his father and free his siblings from his stomach, before becoming the King of the Gods. However, I don’t know if I use it correctly.)
As he looked around, he felt a connection coming from his soul from below, so he looked down at an armored man, who was wearing black armor with a terrifying aura. The man had golden eyes that cause him to feel fear and his hair that for some reason seem stronger than his entire being.
He could tell after a moment of observation that this man was probably the most powerful being he had ever seen. Even the All-Father seem fragile as paper before him, much less him.
He could tell from the connection that he was a summon of the man below, however, he didn’t obtain any memories which were a given during a summoning ritual of any kind.
Shin nodded, ‘ So my skills and magic work, that less I have to worry about. What I need to find out is if the NPCs are still loyal to me. Now…..’
He has not thought of much about his choice of magic, so when Summon came to mind, he randomly summons a Frost Giant. Now he was not sure of what to do with it. After a moment of thought, an idea struck him, ” Frost Giant, you shall remain here and guard this place. Find a way to spread your race at this location.” This was a test on his part, he wanted to see if it was possible for this Frost Giant to reproduce without a mate. If it could, many doors would open up for him.
The Frost Giant kneeled, ” Your will shall be done, Almighty God.” To him, this man was probably one of those ancient gods. If All-Father could claim godhood, then this being was innately a God in his eyes. If he could please him, he could request for his fellow Frost Giants to be reborn or summon as well.
Watching the towering monster run away, Shin frowned, not because of his title but because, ” I know you are there, come out.” Even as he stood with his back to hidden figures, he didn’t hear anything, making his gaze freezing cold which was even colder than when the Frost Giant was there.
He was confident that now that he was sure his powers work and were even better than the norm, he could protect and enforce his power again if needs be. “Hmph, ignoring a direct order from me means death, however, let’s see who you are first. As the [Rule Creator]: I command you to appear before me!”
As he spoke a weird unknown power which seems as ancient as time, emerge and covered a vast portion of the Beast Continent. All beings in the area who were hiding or just camouflaging in an area, appear with shock on their faces, before it transforms into fear and terror, making them retreated.
The beings that Shin called out appeared as well, signing in awe and reverence.
Shin turned around and nodded at them as be expected as much. The two in front of him were Gaia and Raul, the rulers of this world.
With the commotion he causes with [Strike of Heavens Monarch], they were bound to locate the source, him, as such power was beyond their capabilities. If it was an enemy they can not win against, they could summon the entirety of Earth’s power, to destroy it.
The two of them immediately kneel, ” Forgive us, Lord Lain End Chaos, the Supreme God of the World Tree, we will receive any punishment you give us.”
Shin or now, Lain signed as he looks to the skies, in less than a minute he gained two titles, Almighty God and Supreme God. He could understand the last title as he remembered he had that title after killing many gods and roleplaying as one, but Almighty God? He was confused, however as these names contained the same essence, he concluded it was pertaining to his Supreme God title.
He looks down at the two kneeling figures not far from him and wondered what to do.
