Overgod Of Yggdrasil - 4 My Wife
Before Gaia could ordinate herself, she felt a pair of strong and powerful arms hugging her. She could smell the scent of a man radiating from it.
With the Gaia and Lain hugging one another one, the aura of solemness of the Throne Room, change to an aura full of love. The aura was so strong and bountiful that if it could be measured, it would be bigger than a universe.
As the two of them hug one another as if the heavens were congratulating them, a beam of pure sunlight descend, passing through the ‘roof’ covering them. It was like they had ascended to heaven, becoming divine gods.
Standing in the skies, the huge statue had one of his hands opened, from which the sunlight in the skies gather at, and descend on Lain and Gaia. The eyes of the statue seem to glow with intelligence, and also acceptance when it looks at Lain and Gaia.
Even a fool could tell that the statue was not normal, from its actions, which was not prompt by Lain in any way.
After doing its job, the statue resumes it’s role, as a representative of the Supreme God. As time move, so does the body, so it was able to scan the land, looking at all of its Creators’ creation and servants.
Lain although calm on the surface was nervous on the inside. In his arms was probably one of the most beautiful women in the universe, which could cause many to die trying to obtain her. His nervousness wasn’t because she was beautiful, it was because he didn’t want to hurt her. To him, she was as fragile as a piece of paper, a single uncontrolled tap could end her. As a Chaos Titan, little could withstand a poke from him, and he didn’t want Gaia to become a test subject to prove this fact.
True he wanted a family, a wife with children but he knew reality and dreams we’re vastly different. Just because one wanted something doesn’t mean they will get it. If things were like that, the world would have already collapsed.
Lain breath was calm and steady as he rubbed Gaia on her back. It was amazing to Lain how he, a heavenly virgin could act so calmly around Gaia, however, he was happy nonetheless of this change in his personality.
(AN: Heavenly Virgin is an old virgin.)
While Lain was focusing on something else, Gaia was calm and comfortable in the arms of her man. Her dream seems to have been answered, although it was over ten thousand years too late, to be able to live with her husband.
(AN: Was this paragraph able to project a deep sense of love and longing for affection?)
She was a woman that values family more than anything, so having a change in the family was something she was happy to see, especially if it was a good change.
Anything that stagnant and never improve it bound to fall and be forgotten by the winds of time.
Gaia rested her head on Lain’s chest, hearing his powerful heartbeat that synchronizes with her own. The more she listened to the calmer she became as if hypnotized by the merger of their hearts.
The power of their hearts was so strong that if a mortal had heard it, they would implode, or even turn insane. Listening to the hearts of the gods is not for weak mind beings.
(AN: Inside the World Tree, level 100 is considered a God, level 90 a DemiGod, level 80 a Saint, level 70 a Myth, level 60 a Legend, level 50 a Sage, level 40 Hero, level 30 Master, level 20 Awakened, level 10 Mortals and below. This is a general placement of power inside the World Tree, it is prone to changes.)
Lain looks down at Gaia, since she was a head shorter than the current him, watching her actions, smiling fondly as he did. He knew what was going through her mind, but he didn’t want to say any unnecessary words when he could use his actions to leave his place deeply in Gaia’s heart and soul.
He, Lain realizes the more he looks at Gaia the more he loves her. Everything she did seem to make his heart skip a beat. He knew this might be because Gaia was literally a woman he made to fit his fantasies. Lain knew even though he loves, Gaia, this feeling could be because this was the first woman to ever fall in love with him or because his body which he was currently using knew Gaia was its lover, thus making him feel that way. Either way, Gaia was his wife and woman from this day forth.
Lifting her head up, Lain saw her eyes were closed and was quivering like a leaf in the wind. From this, Lain concluded she was either nervous or shy, of course, he also thought of the possibility she feared him, however, it seems unlikely considering her love for him and his actions so far.
Lain looks at her sweet juicy crimson lips and traces them with his right index finger since his left hand was wrapped around Gaia’s slender waist. Her lips were smooth and moist, not because of outside aid, but because it just was.
He leans over and pecks her on the lips, feeling he shouldn’t go overbroad with his actions. He has just made his intention clear of her being his wife in name and in fact but needed to give her time to accept this change. She has waited for over ten thousand years for him, the least he could do was wait for her as well.
Again, facts and circumstances are different. When Lain was about to raise his head, a pair of arms shot out and grab his head, kissing him deeply.
Lain eyes were wide open as he never expected this, however, he calms down quickly as kiss her back.
After a couple of minutes, they broke off the kiss, which would have suffocated normal beings.
On Gaia’s face was a slight blush that slowly faded away.
Gaia was nervous and embarrassed, so she didn’t dare to look at Lain. She felt the heat from his eyes which seem to desire her. She felt if she looks at him, she would do the unthinkable inside this sacred room.
On Lain’s face was a smile and pride in having a wife. How many men could say that they had a wife who would wait years for them? How many men had wives whose beauty could outshine the heavens? He could say all of that. He was one step closer to leaving the Heavenly Virgin club.
Lain release Gaia from his ironclad embrace and approach his throne. Subconsciously, Gaia follows along, only to realize she was directly in front of Lain’s throne. In fact, to how close she was, all she has to do was breathe softly for Lain to feel it.
Lain reaches out and held Gaia by the waist, lifting her up and putting her crossway on his lap. Because of the way she was turned, her breast press against Lain’s chest, not changing shape under the pressure.
Gaia peak at Lain and noticed he was not wearing his black armor from earlier and was instead wearing loose-fitting clothes she has seen on the mortals of Earth. However, unlike the old, unremarkable clothing of the mortal, Lain was baggy sweatpants and a shirt with no sleeves. On his feet were also black shoes that had spikes at the bottom, probably for better traction on the ground. From his get up, Gaia concluded his favorite color was black since be literally went out of a black armor into another set of black clothing.
As Gaia was examined his clothes, Lain sat there watching her. For a quick second, they lock eyes, falling into the eyes of the other. In each other eyes, they saw their own reflection which was like a sign they were each other soul mate.
As Lain look into her eyes, he had a nagging feeling something else was looking at him through her eyes. If it was not because he didn’t feel hostility from it, he would have killed whoever or whatever it was.
As she looks into her husband’s eyes, she saw a vast universe made up of gold, and many other treasures. She could feel his gaze looking directly at her deepest and darkest secrets making him scared. However considering he was the one that gave her those secrets, Gaia became calm again.
Lain signed after breaking eye contact, staring into the skies, eyes narrowing as he looks at his statue, before he spoke to Gaia, ” Gaia I will not apologize again since I have done it already; I have learned that over apologizing will leave the heart and mind worried instead of at peace. However, I promise you that anywhere you go, I will be there by your side. I will not allow you to feel that feeling of loneliness anymore. You have done far more for me than I have you. A man is not a man until he knows when he is in the wrong and is willing to step up to his responsibilities.”
His words didn’t garner any response, which he was fine with since he was making a statement, not asking a question. He doesn’t need her approval, but he needs her to be aware of his choice.
Gaia rested he head on his chest, smiling with tears streaming down her face. She was happy for his words, he was willing to change for her, which was something to celebrate.
Lain signed, becoming serious, pulling a huge black mirror out of his inventory.
Calling the mirror black was wrong since only the wood that framed its edge was black. Other than that the mirror was like a normal mirror use to see one’s reflection with.
The black portion of the mirror had golden runes that seem to be an unknown language. From these runes, powerful magical aura pulse from it. From the amount of mana, one could conclude the mirror was at least a Divine Class Item.
The mirror was perfectly circular, with its surface blank of everything.
“Gaia, look at this mirror and tell me what you see.” Lain pointed at the blank mirror, making a beam of light merge into it.
At this point, Gaia was confused, however, she did as she was asked and look at the mirror. To her, the mirror was normal, until the screen became black, pitch-black to be exact. She notices it change after the beam of light went inside of it.
As she looks at the mirror, Gaia didn’t see any more changes, this she concludes, he wanted her to describe the current black mirror. “The mirror seems to be showing the scene of absolute darkness, something I’m sure only exists in Hell’s Eighteen Forbidden Layers. Only the evilest and corrupt souls would be seal down there, never to see light again.”
Lain held her hand, and nodded, “You are partly right, this is indeed showing absolute darkness, however, this is not Hell, no it’s not even inside the tree. What you are looking at is the absolute darkness of space.” As he spoke, the mirror moves slowly before showing a gigantic golden tree with three worlds piercing into the heavens. The tree was beyond magnificent, it was powerful and at the center of everything, it was like no matter from what direction one looks from, they would see it.
(AN: From viewing the World Tree from the outside, the tree only seems to have three worlds. Hell is the root of the tree and Nether World is the trunk.)
Gaia gasp softly as she stared at the tree, the first time she ever did. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought she would see her home from space. She had heard myths about her home, about how large and powerful it was, since it was created by the Supreme God. She also knew that the World Tree was the child of Yggdrasil, so if this massive tree was a child, how big was Yggdrasil?
“I think I’m the only one that notices we have been transported to a new reality. I was not sure at first, however, with a slight amount of investigation, I have reached this conclusion.” Lain smile wryly inside his heart as he spoke, what investigation? He had just assumed this fact since for him he indeed was inside a new universe. However, it’s not certain as of yet if they were still inside Yggdrasil or an alternate universe.
“Because of so many uncertainties, I wish to hear the thoughts of the others and come up with some countermeasures in case of danger in this unknown universe. We may be powerful inside of Yggdrasil but here? It’s hard to say until we come in contact with the natives.” This was a fact. In his universe, he could be a God, however here? For all, he knew he was naught but an ant.
As for why he thought their we’re natives in this universe, it was because the possibility of there being none is lower than there being some.
That is why he was confused back home, how can humans be sure they were the only civilization in the vast universe? There are trillions upon trillions of stars, they had not even reached a quarter of it and they came to this conclusion. He knew it was because of the holy book, it was because in there it said God only created heaven and earth, it never said God created another planet with life.
(AN: I Hope this paragraph didn’t offend anyone. Also, I use a gender natural approach when I talk about God, by just calling it God. We may believe in the same religion or not believe in one, so I hope no one thinks I’m forcing any religion on them. Religion is a choice, not an obligation, everyone has a mind, so please think about what best suits you and align with your beliefs when choosing a religion.)
Gaia understands Lain’s words, however, this made her frown from confusion, ” Husband, this involves the life and death of everyone, so why are you making Raul take such a long time to invite everyone? Shouldn’t we focus more on this situation first?” From all standpoints, this should be what’s important, not what they were currently doing, delaying the inevitable. By just sitting here, an enemy could find the tree and attack it.
Lain shooked his head, ” The reason is simple, from my earlier exploration with the mirror, I conclude there is no lifeforms within a thousand light-years from us. For an enemy to enter this area and then reach us, it would take millions of years depending on their speed. We will at that time have already finish all our preparations.” Lain knew if this world has spaceships that could travel at lightspeed, they would still require a few thousand years to reach them.
(AN: Okay I don’t know much about light years and stuff like that, so hopefully the paragraph was not confusing. Basically what I did was make it so for every lightyear one travel, a year would have gone by, so a thousand years would have gone by if someone travel at that speed to reach them, depending on if their starting point was the edge of the mentioned area.)
Listening to Lain, Gaia nodded but she still believes they should be preparing right now, instead of delaying. For all the know, someone could be able to wink anywhere they want, traveling faster than ‘lightspeed’. If there were indeed individuals like that if they appear in front of them, what would they do? As for more time?
Gaia thought of something, “So, husband, the reason you descended earlier was to see if our powers will work as it should?”
Lain lips twitched a bit, feeling guilty as he was about to lie, he couldn’t exactly say ‘ I was making sure my powers work, so I can put you guys down in case of a rebellion, could he?’ ” Yes, I wanted to see if this universe interferes with our powers but it doesn’t seem like it does. However, this might just be because we are inside the tree, so unless we test it outside, we are only relying on assumptions that I hate to work with.”
“True.” Gaia agreed with Lain words, this place is indeed full of unknown dangers. One wrong step could be the end of them.
Lain could see she was scared somewhat so he hugs her again whispering in her ears, ” Everything is going to be alright. You see we have the advantage of knowing we are alone in this universe, meaning everyone is an enemy. As long as we find natives, we can easily acquire the information we need to protect yourself. As long as we strengthen the tree, we are unstoppable.”
(AN: Starting this paragraph, I had the urge to write a verse from one of Bob Marley’s song, ‘Don’t Worry, about a thing, because every little thing is going to be alright.’)
Gaia nodded, true with just them in this vast universe, no matter who they attack, it would justify as they are their enemies. However, this just means they had made the entire universe their enemy which is stupid since they don’t have the firepower of a universe at their fingertips.
Gaia was just about to talk to Lain more about this problem, however, her eyes went wide and she shouted, starting Lain, “Husband! I found a world.”
Lain was shock, how? Shouldn’t this take a couple of hundred years? For humans of Earth, it had taken a thousand years after civilization had stabilized before discovering other planets, but on the first day, they discovered a planet?
Before Gaia came to the Throne Room, he has seen the area around the World Tree was barren. For some reason there was nothing around it, not even a single star was shown in the area, only the light of the World Tree could be seen, which dyed a few miles around itself golden.
Regaining his posture, Lain asks, “Where?”
Gaia pointed at a small insignificant dot in the mirror, saying “There. ” If Lain had looked in Gaia’s eyes, he would see her eyes have become more draconic than before, with the slit contracting and pulsing, before fading and returning to the background.
Lain didn’t see what was so important about this dot, however, he maneuvered the mirror, zooming in and that when he saw it.
In the mirror, there was a shocking scene. On it was a huge world that seems bigger than his World Tree or even one of the nine worlds of Yggdrasil. Around the world were smaller worlds the size of one of the worlds inside the tree. They floated around the world, creating a solar system of its own.
From a quick glance, looking at the main world, they saw over thousand of continents bugger than any of the continents inside the tree.
Zooming further in, Lain saw a civilization that was primitive and but also advances in power.
They saw many tribes littering the land, seeing many powerful beings with the weakest being as strong as Gaia. Above these figures who were far more powerful than Gaia, even some approaching Lain power level. Which in World Tree equates to Grand Creator level.
Gaia’s eyes flash with fear as she spoke, “Husband, I’m afraid we must be cautious of this world. They have the individual strength equal to my own. There were also some even more powerful than me. As long as we conquer this world, we can enter a state of improvement, however, if we die, it’s all for not.” She is not wrong, there are over a thousand people as strong as she was and many others stronger than her.
“I know, information is more important. We are in the dark while they are in the light. We could send units to gather info before we gradually invade it.” Lain nodded, however, he has decided he would invade one of the smaller worlds before anything. The main world was stronger than his entire domain.
Lain added, ” Let’s bookmark this conversation, we will continue when the rest are here.”
Gaia nodded and rested her head in his chest. Because of the angle, she put her head, she couldn’t see the fierce look in Lain’s eyes as he stares at the mirror. No matter how he saw it, they were not an opponent of this solar system. However, if he uses Super Tier Magic, If it changes like the rest of his abilities, he could contend with them.
Lain handgrip the armrest of his throne, making it whine under the pressure. Lain calm down as he felt a hand on his, clearing away his battle intent. Staring down at her, he saw she has the same look he has, making his battle intent awoke again. Maybe she was feeling the same as him, only since she was weaker, the pressure on her was far greater.
“It’s not time yet….not time.” As for who’s the voice belongs to, who knows?
(AN: Writing this chapter made me think about the Double Face Queen of Schemes, Albedo.)
