Overlord: Blue Citadel Alternate - Chapter 24 『Broken』
Jack appeared before the Eleventh Seat of the Black Scripture without warning.
“In all that is holy…” She murmured as she stared at him with wide eyes. He had used a ‘spell’ she didn’t recognize to teleport in the room that had been otherwise blocking teleportation.
The Guards on either side of the cell, Jarod and Anika, both looked ot Jack before bowing their heads. “Welcome Jack-sama.”
Jack nodded to them as they welcomed him to the little prison he had here. A small grin over his lips as he looked over the blue haired female in the holding cell. Her choice of attire, he could quite easily judge her. It reminded him of a shut-in who always lived in their pajamas.
Though what interested him in the most was the hat on her head. It seemed it might have some sort of significance? That and the orb which was sitting beside her, it reminded him of a Red Orb, a World Item from YGGDRASIL.
“You must be the Thousand League Astrologer, yes?”
She nodded towards his cautiously, feeling the need to back away from the bars of the cell, as not to be attacked or killed by him. Though there was no real reason to do so, since that wasn’t his reason for coming here.

“As this is so, I’d like to know about the members that are in the Black Scripture,” Jack gestured for her to come towards the cell door, which she shook her head to.
“I… I will not betray my country, I cannot divulge information of my colleagues. Doing so… I’d be put to death…” The girl appeared the mumble as she hugged the wall, keeping her orb close to her.
“Being silent will not protect the Slane Theocracy. I need just to devour you in order to learn what I want, which will inevitably cause your death either way.” Jack wiped his face with his hand as she seemed to be uncooperative.
“Devour… Like you did with the Knight and the Leader of the Sunlit Scripture?” She immediately tensed against the wall. She remembered the screams, the sounds of bones breaking and the body being broken down.
“Yes,” Jack clarified her question as he crossed his arms, looking over her.
Slowly she removed herself from the wall and waddled on her knees to the cell door before sitting on her legs. She wasn’t making eye contact and instead was looking to the floor.
“There are thirteen of us…”
“Not Twelve…?” Jack narrowed his eyes looking at her, from his accumulated knowledge, there were twelve. However hearing there were thirteen made sense, as if there was someone else stronger, it would be best kept a secret.
“Yes…” She finally looked up at him, “But she’s stronger than the First Seat, she’s referred to as the extra. The secret Ace of my country.”
“Makes sense,” her narrowed his eyes on her curiously, wondering just what kind of magic items they had in their possession. His eyes flickered over to her hat as it was moving around slightly.
Reaching through the bars, Jack pulled it off her head.
“H-hey!” She went to grab it, but he had already pulled the hat through the front of the cell. “Give me back my hat!”
Jack just furrowed his brows at her for a few moments before tucking the item into his item box. This immediately shut her up seeing what he had done. The Gods, the Players, that they were descendants of had been able to do the exact same thing.
Wordlessly store nearly unlimited items in an extrspace, as if conjuring things from nothing at all. She could only surmise that this being right in front of her, was the very same.
“Who are you?”
“My name is Jack Graham,” Jack raised a brow when she had asked who he was.
She blinked several times hearing this, it was a very mundane name for a God. “Your other name,” she was quick to change the question.
Jack stared at her as she was asking for another name, and there was only one other name he could think of which may be what she was asking for. “I have no need to appease you.”
She froze up again for a moment before nodding, running a hand through her long braids of hair.
“Now… Undress, give me all of your items.” He gestured towards the orb and her clothes, which were considered by him as scantily clad.
“Wh-what!?” She immediately hugged herself, almost falling backward. “N-no!”
“Now,” it was a threatening tone, he’d kill her if he had to. If not, he could just bite her to put her into a long sleep. With one more step closer to her cell, she started fiddling with her shorts.
Within the next few minutes, her clothes and her items were all handed over to him, except for her socks. She stood there, covering herself. with each arm and hand.
Jack put all of her items within his item box, including the orb before looking her over. Her breasts remained stiff under her arm. The blue hair on her pelvis. It was clear her hair was naturally colored, which he didn’t really find odd. If they were descendants of players, they would’ve inherited their traits.
Though at the same time he was pretty sure elves had oddly colored hair in this world sometimes.
Jarod glanced over towards the girl in the cell, taking in the sight.
Anika’s eyes just rested on Jarod who was eying the girl. She rolled her eyes and turned her gaze back to Jack who was just standing there, going through his item box.
Soon enough Jack pulled out what looked to be a set of starting robes from the very beginning of the game. It wasn’t very good quality, if anything, it’d break immediately once attacked by anything above level fifteen. Which meant if anyone of the inhabitants of the city hit her, her clothes would break.
Jack then held the item out for her to take.
Hesitantly, the girl lifted her hand from her lower body and snatched it before pulling the robes in over her head. She Initially had trouble getting her hair through, but she eventually got it out.
Letting out a sigh as she patted the item, her eyes darted right back to him as he was still standing there. “What… What else do you want to know?”
“I want to know if your Nation has any World Items.” Jack tilted his head to the side with his amethyst scales appearing on his face, phantoms of his wings emerging from his back.
“World… Items…”
“National Treasures?” Jack narrowed his eyes on her the most he could, as if he was going to break her psyche with his gaze alone.
She blinked her eyes looking to his. the more she looked at them, the more she seemed drawn to them. Not even partially repulsed by them despite him not being human to begin with. Though… He did look more human than any dragon she had ever seen. Perhaps he could defeat the Catastrophe Dragon Lord should it revive?
“There is one national treasure that might fit the description of a ‘World Item,’ the Downfall of Castle and Country.” The woman hadn’t been able to stop herself from reporting to him, telling him exactly what he wanted to know.
Though the only thing she didn’t tell him, was that this particular treasure was protected by the Black Scripture and that it was worn by an older human being named Kaire.
Knowing what that particular World Item was, he turned his head away from her and placed two fingers to the side of his head, reciting the『Message』spell.
“Silva.”
“Jack-sama? What is it? Do you need me to look into mens clothes as well?”
“… No, I’m informing you that the Slane Theocracy has a World Item capable of mind controlling any and all beings, even if they’re immune to mind control, unless they have a world item of their own.” Jack gave her the gist of the information before looking to the girl who was staring at him from the cell.
“You… You know what it does…?” She murmured, she hadn’t even told him what it did. Just the name that she had on her.
Jack waved a hand over the other, summoning a what appeared to be an insect to his palm, a Lip Bug. It was a creature which consumed the vocal cords of humans beings to use as their own.
“Wh…What are you doing with that?” She stepped back from the cell, she didn’t understand.
Jack smiled at her, throwing the bug at the same time as using magic to hold her still while her mouth was still open. Why was he doing this? He didn’t want her to be able to talk, scream or cry aloud. In a way, it was torture, especially as the insect crawled down her throat and did its work.
He released her, watching as she dropped to the ground holding her throat. Her voice already fading as she was screaming in agony on the ground. Writhing in pain.
Minutes after she had lost consciousness, the bug came crawling out of her mouth, slinking on over to Jack’s foot as he would pick it up and look towards Jarod. “Give this lipbug to Daniki.”
“Uhh…” Looking down at the bug with mild disgust, he nodded. “Yes Jack-sama.” Taking the lipbug from the supreme leader’s hands, the honor guard member would make his way out of the prison and in whichever direction the Floor Guardian was located.
Anika smirked lightly seeing the ruthlessness that had exhibited, stealing the young woman’s voice to the purpose of giving it to a Guardian who otherwise lacked one. “That’s one grand gesture, Jack-sama.”
“Only the best,” Jack grinned a little bit before looking to the girl in the cell. “Bind her with anti-magic shackles around her wrists, and make sure to tie her thumbs together so she can’t slip out of them.”
Anika’s eyes widened slightly before she looked to the female form laying on the stone floor.
“And have her body shaved,” Jack looked over the unruly braided her hair. “See to that hair being used for weaving some blankets… I’m sure the village could use some.” Though his tone was sarcastic, it might as well be an actual order. This was mainly for the sake of torture itself, stripping her of her identity.
She was a member of the Slane Theocracy, a political power which attacked the Carne Village, a member of the Black Scripture. So because of this every part of her was at his and his Guild’s disposal.
Once his orders were relayed to Anika, he turned on his heel and began walking out of the room, before teleporting out.
