Overlord: Multiverse - Chapter 30: Yggdrasil XXVIII
I picked up the statue. It was the same size as my hand. The artwork captured the essence of a cerulean dragon exhaling torrents of fire from its open mouth.
[You have picked the ‘Summoning Statue of Dragon Lord.’]
[Do you want to use this item? [Y] or [N]]
Momonga: ‘A summoning Statue, huh? I might make him one of the Area Guardians of the 8th floor.’
Because the dungeon was conquered, I opened my console and selected the exit option.
I stored the statue in my inventory and switched to my Demon variant. Using *Fly*, I started flying toward the Helheim.
I planned to change my racial class once I was in Nazarick.
~Scene Change~
After reaching the tomb, I made my way to the 6th floor. Once there, I opened the console and;
[Do you want to change your racial class to ‘Dragon?’ [Y] or [N]]
[Warning! Choosing [Y] will lead to the loss of all levels, state points and classes.]
I still chose [Y], and the prompt disappeared. In tandem, my body expanded, sprouting sizable dragon-like wings from my back. My claws elongated, my tail grew, and my face gradually shifted into that of a dragon. After a minute, the transformation ended.
Now, I was standing at 9 meters (29.5 feet). My appearance had transformed into that of a Western Dragon, characterized by flawless white scales, massive wings, a substantial tail, yellow eyes, and a sizable head crowned with two horns.
Momonga: “This looks cool!”
I moved my head to look at my current appearance. After inspecting my new majestic form, I used all the EXP from the ‘Experience Core’ to level up.
Momonga: “Open Status.”
A screen manifested before me and showed me my status.
After allocating State Points, my status looked like this;
…
~Status~

[Job Class(s): N/A]
…
Even at level 18, I had the stats of someone at level 30.
Momonga: “This is absurd!”
Even though this was a powerful racial class, it had restrictions applied to it, like the inability to change into a humanoid form in the early stages, requiring 10X EXP to level up, and increased vulnerability to anti-draconic and holy spells, skills and items.
And with each advancement of the racial class, the required EXP to level up would be doubled. I reached level 18 using 10 million EXP, sufficient to reach level 100 twice for a typical build.
And the EXP cost would only continue to grow. But even with all of this. I still decided to choose this racial class. There were many benefits to it.
I switched back to my Demon variant and ventured to the 8th floor. It was time to make the first area guardian.
Once there, I used the ‘Summoning Statue of Dragon Lord’ to summon it.
The statue vanished into motes of light, and a dragon with blue-coloured scales materialized before me.
It was the same dragon I fought in the cave. I took out the ‘NPC Creator Kit’ and registered the dragon as an NPC of Nazarick.
Momonga: “Let’s see its status. I doubt its Level would be higher than 100. Show Status.”
…

…
Momonga: “Now, that’s one powerful area guardian.”
I quickly changed the blank spaces with appropriate information. I decided to name it ‘Fafnir.’
…
[Name: Fafnir]
[Creator: Momonga]
[Backstory: After losing the battle against its master, the dragon surrendered. However, instead of ending its life, the victor chose to free it from its dormant curse and gave it the name ‘Fafnir.’ The master accepted it as a faithful follower and commanded Fafnir to guard one of the floors of his residence. He is Fafnir, the loyal subject of the True Dragon Emperor Momonga.]
[Floor: Area Guardian of the High Peak Fields on the 8th floor.]
[Flavor Text: He guards the High Peak Fields of the 8th floor. His task is to kill any intruder. He gets along well with the other guardians of the Nazarick and respects the creations of Momonga. He is absolutely loyal to Momonga and will die protecting him. He doesn’t mind working with humans….]
…
Momonga: “That should be fine.”
I positioned him in one of the caves of the High Peak Fields. After that, I used the Ring of AOG to teleport to the first floor. There, I saw Fenris patrolling the area.
Momonga: “How are you, Fenris?”
After monologuing with the wolf girl for a minute, I left the tomb. Once outside, I used *Fly* and went toward the high-level region of Helheim.
I needed to refill the ‘Experience Core’ to keep levelling up the Dragon variant.
But levelling it up wasn’t the priority right now. I could level it up slowly.
Right now, I need to find a few World Items.
After the update, the devs began storing the locations of the World Items on the server in an encrypted format. Fortunately, my System was able to access that data and decrypt it.
But it wasn’t flawless; if a Player had the World Item, the System couldn’t track the location of it. The System could only access the Player’s name.
But despite this, it made finding World Items extremely easy.
And I was en route to one of the World Items. According to the information, it was present in Helheim.
I continued flying using *Fly* for a few hours before landing in a swamp filled with undead. The World Item was submerged in the swamp’s water.
There were some high-level undead there, so I used a 10th-tier AOE spell to kill them all.
Momonga: “*Boost Widen Magic: Cosmic Nova*”
[MP: 125 -> 112]
A white wave travelled outward and struck the undead in the area. It was able to kill the majority of the undead there. Only a few remained.
I again used the same spell and killed them all.
The EXP was stored in the ‘Experience Core,’ I collected the corpses for later use.
I walked over to the location of the World Item and pulled it out of the swamp water.
[You have picked the World Item ‘Cryptic Beacon.’]
Its shape was that of a small lizard’s skull, and its central focus was on summoning and buffing creatures.
It could summon any monster of any level if enough gold was provided. It could also buff the summoned creatures without any extra cost.
I needed this WI for the 8th floor. I stored it in my inventory and flew away using *Fly* in search of other WIs.
~Scene Change~
During my journey, I found another WI. It focused on healing allies and applying damage to the enemies. Its name was ‘Contradictory Cure.’ Its shape was that of a football-sized orb with alternating colours of Green and Red.
Momonga: “Let’s put you guys on the 8th floor.”
I teleported to the 8th floor and hid the ‘Contradictory Cure’ underground. While I submerged the ‘Cryptic Beacon’ in the oasis in The Scorching Desert.
I then spent an hour configuring both of them. The ‘Cryptic Becon’ needed gold to work. I had over 2.3B gold coins in my inventory. I gave them all to the WI. I then configured the area where the monsters should spawn, their types, the buffing percentage, etc.
This WI could double the stats of the summoned creatures, but it required an absurd amount of gold coins. For the time being, I configured it to buff their stats by 35%.
I’ve also set it up so that the summoned creatures won’t target members of Ainz Ooal Gown, the area guardians, and the floor guardians.
As for the monsters summoned, I’ve configured the process to bring forth creatures within the level range of 80 to 100.
With the provided gold, it could summon 100,000 creatures.
I did the same with the ‘Contradictory Cure.’ With this done, the 8th floor was basically complete. I still had a few things left to do, like making the air poisonous, the terrain hazardous, etc.
Momonga: ‘That could wait.’
I now wanted to focus on my own floor. Which was going to be the largest floor of the tomb. And I had some exciting ideas for it.
~Scene Change~
I was standing beside a bipedal tiger.
Beast: “So, what do you think, Momonga-san?”
He spoke in a heavy tone.
Momonga: “She looks beautiful.”
He was Beast King Mekongawa, one of the members of Ainz Ooal Gown and the creator of Lupusregina Beta.
When I was done with the 8th floor, he called me to his room on the 9th floor to discuss something with me. When I got there, I saw him making another member of the Pleiades.
Lupusregina Beta was a brown-skinned beauty with an athletic look and red hair tied in two long braids. She had a maid uniform on with short sleeves, long black gloves, and a skirt with a long slit on its left side, revealing thigh-high white stockings.
After some pleasantries and small talk, he moved on to the main topic.
Beast: “I need your suggestions, Momonga-san.”
Momonga: “About her classes, right?”
Beast: “Yeah, and please do keep in mind that I only have 53 levels to spare.”
Everyone in the Nazarick knew Momonga’s passion for NPCs.
Momonga: “Don’t worry about the level limit. I’ll give you some.”
Beast: “I don’t want to take that for free. So, please tell me if you want something in return.”
Momonga: “Is that so, huh? Then add me as the creator as well, and also add some lines in her Flavoure Text.”
Beast: “That all?”
Momonga: “Yeah.”
Beast: “Alright, then I agree.”
I sent a happy emoji and started giving him suggestions.
Momonga: “For her racial classes, I would suggest Lycanthrope, Werewolf, Wolven Priest.”
Beast: “Please continue.”
Momonga: “As for her job classes, I would go with Priestess, Greater Priestess, War Priestess, Cleric, High Cleric, War Cleric, Batlle Cleric, and Hierophant. For a total of 100 levels.”
Beast: “I like the sound of that. Thanks, Momonga-san.”
Momonga: “It’s nothing.”
After talking a bit, I left him and went to unlock the throne room, where the Throne of the Kings was situated.
I sat on it and opened the console.
Momonga: “Master soure, open.”
A screen manifested before me. It had many options for the guild management. I navigated to the Floors Management section and chose to unlock another floor.
[Are you sure you want to unlock a new floor? [Y] or [N]]
I chose the [Y] option.
[Unlocking a new floor will cost 500M gold and 100 data levels. Do you wish to proceed? [Y] or [N]]
I again chose the [Y] option.
[Congragulations! A new floor has been unlocked.]
Momonga: “Let’s have some fun, shall we?”
To Be Continued…
