Overlord: Multiverse - Chapter 31: Yggdrasil XXIX
Now that the new floor was unlocked, I got up from the throne and used the Ring of AOG to teleport there.
The entire floor was covered in a grey haze. I bought a few Floor Extension Kits from the cash shop and used them to extend the area of the 11th floor.
In Yggdrasil, you could only extend the area up to 100 sq km(39 sq miles).
After extending the area to its limits, I used ‘Ouroboros’ to contact the devs for a request.
…
???: “Hello, Momonga-san. How can I help you today.”
Momonga: “Hey, there. I want you to increase the area of this floor.”
???: “Sure.”
After a few seconds of silence, he spoke again.
???: “Alright, I have increased the limit for the area’s extension up to 500 sq km(193 sq miles).”
Momonga: “Did you say ‘limit?'”
???: “Yeah, I just increased the limit; you increase the area yourself. Well then, have a nice day.”
…
Momonga: ‘Stinky devs.~Sigh~’
I again bought some Floor Extension Kits and extended the area to the new limit. Now begins the fun. I spent quite some time thinking about ideas for my floor.
I needed to carefully think about various aspects while designing, including how the floor would be used after the transfer to the new world and its intended purpose.
Ultimately, I decided to make this floor work as a production/misc type floor. I also decided to name it Grotto Sanctums.
After deciding on the design, I bought some Floor Design Kits from the cash shop and started designing the floor.
I decided to divide the floor into different sections. Each of these will represent a different biome.
So, I started working on the first section, which will span an area of 50 sq km(19 sq m). In it, I decided to make a simple plains/forest biome.
Because I was alone working on this, it took me 4 hours to make the general design.
Momonga: “This will take a while.”
It took me 4 days to complete the first section. In this biome, expansive plains melded seamlessly with dense forests. A small river meandered gently through the landscape, its clear waters reflecting the sunlight. Nestled further ahead, a tranquil lake shimmered beneath the canopy.
Nearby marshes intermingled with the terrain, their damp grounds adding a unique touch to the scenery. The forest, thick with a variety of trees, formed a natural boundary.
The forest also covered small hills in the distance.

I was happy with how the first biome turned out. But I wanted to add a lot, like farms of herbs, rare trees, rare monsters, etc. This was just the start. But I was exhausted. I kept working on it for 4 days straight. So, I needed a break from it.
So, I decided to do something fun.
So, I decided to create the first area guardian of this floor. I bought the NPC Creation Kit from the cash shop and started designing the new NPC.
The new NPC was an Elf. For her design, I opted for green eyes, blonde hair, a significant bust and buttocks, and a lithe physique. She was wearing a green dress. I decided to name her Elara.

Now, it was time to decide on her job classes. As an Elf, I wanted her to be a druid. But I also wanted her to be adept at nurturing rare herbs.
I could always make another NPC to handle herbs and another to protect this section. But, I chose against it.
Momonga: “This will be a hard build to pull off.”
After consulting with the System, I finally settled on a few job classes.
Momonga: “Wait here, Elara. I’ll be back.”
I used the Ring of AOG to teleport to the first floor.
~Scene Change~
I was standing before Elara, ready to give her the job classes. It had taken me a few days to acquire them all. I used the ‘Experience Core’ to level her up to 100.
After giving her the job classes, her status looked like this;
…

She doesn’t mind working with the humans. She also takes care of her master/creator’s pets….]
…
Momonga: ‘That looks good.’
I decided to name the first two sections; The Sylvan Expanse and The Sylvan Pinegrove.
Momonga: “Let’s go, Elara. I’ll show you your home, and then let’s meet your siblings. Follow.”
She started following me, and I took her deeper into the forest, where I had designed her residence.

Her house was made of wood and was before a large tree. I took her inside and showed her the different rooms.
During our tour, I kept conversing with her about various things, like the world outside Nazarick, her jobs, etc. After that, I took her to the 9th floor. Once there, I introduced her to Felicity and the Pleiades.
Then, I took both of them to the 1st floor. There, I introduced them to Fenris, the youngest of the siblings.
After conversing with them for a few minutes, I took them back to their assigned floors.
Momonga: “Well then, Elara. You guard this section of Grotto Sanctums. I will come later to meet you. Guard.”
She started wandering in the forest.
Now that the first section and its area guardian were done, my focus shifted toward collecting uncommon plants, trees, creatures, etc.
Upon arriving in the new world, I wanted to ensure a steady source of valuable resources.
To achieve this, I needed to establish farms to cultivate rare herbs, breed creatures for harvest, and implement other resource-generating methods.
I could buy the majority of rare herbs from the cash shop. But I had to tame/capture monsters.
I opened my console and bought a sizeable quantity of all the available herbs. I then used a Floor Design Kit to make farms near the river and planted them there.
Typically, you weren’t able to farm in Yggdrasil. But after spending a few thousand Data Crystals, I made the farms function.
I decided to leave the capture of monsters for later. Now, it was time to create another section.
I flew away using *Fly* and ventured to the outskirts of the forest. Once there, I started designing the second section.
In this phase, I transformed the forest environment from one filled with sprawling and lush trees to an expanse dominated by towering pine trees.
I also created a single river that flowed throughout this section. I contacted this river to the lake in the first section.
This section was relatively small compared to the others.
I assigned Elara to look after this section as well. Some herbs could only be cultivated in this type of biome.
I was done designing this section in 3 days. After making the farms and planting the herbs, I started working on the next section.
For this section, I made a mountainous biome with high-peak mountains, ice-covered peaks, high-rise meadows, etc.
This section would be responsible for producing ores. Typically, it was impossible to create a functional mine in Yggdrasil. To solve this problem, I had plans to use a World Item.
But that was for the future. For now, I dug out portions of the mountains for future mines.
Due to its extensive size and intricate details, completing the design of this section required a dedicated effort spanning six days.
I chose to designate a golem as the guardian for this section. This decision aligned perfectly with my Golem variant, proving its value in this context.
To create a golem, one needed a class-oriented toward making golems, the raw materials for its body, and data crystals to add functionalities.
And if someone has a character build oriented toward making golems, they can do far more than this.
An example would be if someone had a single job class geared toward making golems, they could only process common materials. This would result in weaker golems. They would also require more Data Crystals to add functionalities to the created golems.
On the other hand, if someone had a character build oriented toward making golems, they could process precious materials like Celestial Uranium, Caloric Stones, etc. Golems made from these materials would possess greater power than golems made from ordinary materials. Luci★Fer, a member of Ainz Ooal Gown, was adept at making golems.
I aimed to create my golem using the most potent substance found in Yggdrasil: the Caloric Stone.
The Caloric Stone was a hidden World Item. Unlike the other World Items that spawned in various locations of Yggdrasil, Caloric Stone was a craftable World Item.
To create it, one needed a set amount of Prismatic Ores in a single location. After some time, the ores will disappear, and a Caloric Stone will be created.
The prismatic ores were a series of valuable minerals found in various locations in Yggdrasil. They included Apoithakarah, Scarletite, Celestial Uranium, and Star Silver.
The guild already had access to a few mines that created these ores. And as the guild leader, I had access to them. Because a majority of those mines were discovered and conquered by me.
All I needed to do was wait for them to turn into Caloric Stone. During this, I started brainstorming about the type of golem I wanted to create.
~Scene Change~
I wasn’t sure how long it would take for the Prismatic Ores to transform into Caloric Stone. So, I began leveling up my Dragon variant to use my time wisely.
I was able to level it up to 26. I now had these racial classes;
Dragon(15), and Elder Dragon(6).
For my job classes, I only had one;
Draconic Mage(5).
The reason I created a Dragon variant was so that I could use/study Wild Magic when I would be transferred to the new world. And according to what I remember, to use Wild Magic, I needed souls.
I planned to use ‘Ouroboros’ to ask the devs to add a ‘Soul Accumulation’ stat to my Dragon variant. With this, I could harvest ‘Souls’ in Yggdrasil and use them in the new world.
After waiting for 3 weeks, the Pristine Ores transformed into Caloric Stones. Utilizing a quantity of Pristine Ores that exceeded the requirement for a single Caloric Stone, I yielded 4 of these stones.
These stones worked as ‘Ouroboros’ and ‘Five Elemental Overcoming.’ I could use them to ask the devs to give me the needed materials.
I could only ask for materials, unlike ‘Ouroboros,’ which allowed me to request much more.
I planned to use 1 of the Caloric Stone to ask for all kinds of Pristine Ores for the golem’s body and use the remaining Claoric Stones for the core.
I was standing in the forest on the 11th floor. I removed the Caloric Stone from my inventory and opened my console.
It was the size of a football, had rainbow colors on its surface, and had a ragged structure.
[Do you want to use the hidden World Item ‘Caloric Stone?’ [Y] or [N]]
I chose the [Y] option, and the Caloric Stone vanished from my hand.
…
???: “Hello, Momonga-san. First, let me congratulate you on being the first Player to find one of the hidden World Items: the Caloric Stone.”
Momonga: “Thanks. Do I get something for it? Like gold coins or items?”
???: “I’m afraid not, Momonga-san.”
Momonga: “It’s fine.”
???: “Then, how can I help you today?”
Momonga: “I want a sizeable amount off all the Prismatic Ores available in the game, even if they are not discovered by any Players.”
???: “I can do that, but I have to warn you if you spread the information about the Prismatic Ores that have not been discovered, you may face a temporary ban.”
Momonga: “I understand.”
???: “Very well, have a good day then.”
…
[You have received the items: Apoithakarah, Celestial Uranium, Crimsonium Crystals, Eclipsium Sable, Iridian Prismite, Nebuline Gold, Scarletite, and Star Silver.] x10,000
Momonga: ‘That should be enough to make the area guardian.’
