Overlord: Multiverse - Chapter 60: New World XXII
Helios was sitting on the sofa in his bedroom eating breakfast while some of the members of the Pleiades- Narberal, Solution, and Lupusregina- were dressing themselves on the bed. They had a steamy night.
After dressing, they all walked toward the sofa and sat around him. He had already told them about liking them and instructed them not to call him ‘Lord’ or ‘Master’ when alone. They could do so in public if they want.
Solution sat to his right, while Narberal was about to sit to his left before he pulled her in and sat her on his lap. Noticing the space, Lupusregina sat to his left. They weren’t wearing their maid outfits; instead, they were wearing casual clothing.
“Why don’t you feed me, Nabe.”
He spoke while stroking her smooth hair.
“Of course, my lord. Oh, I mean d-d-darling.” She spoke the last part, stuttering before proceeding to feed Helios.
“So, have you been able to learn new Job Classes?” Helios spoke while Narberal fed him. At this point, Helios had already broken the Level Limit of the majority of the NPCs. This allowed those NPCs to learn new Job Classes by performing specific tasks or using the Class Data.
“I was able to learn a new Job Class and even managed to level it up to 6,” Lupus proudly said.
“Let me prize you for your hard work~” Helios spoke while patting her on the head, and because she wasn’t wearing her maid outfit, her wolfen ears were on full display.
“I was also able to learn a new Job Class, darling!” Solution half-shouted from the side in an attempt to gain Helios’ attention.
Helios turned toward her and also began patting her on the head.
“Good job, continue your hard work.” Helios spoke while patting two beauties on his sides, who were content with the attention they were getting.
They continued their breakfast in a comforting silence.
“I have a question, darling,” Nabe said while filling a cup with tea.
“Ask away,” Helios spoke while slumping back into the sofa, while Solution and Lupus snuggled up close to him.
Nabe asked why I wasn’t breaking my Level limit. I started explaining my plans, different PTPs, and the restriction to follow a separate PTP to realise my dream of reaching the absolute peak again.
Then we spent a few more minutes talking with each other before they left the room, and my maid for the day entered it.
She sported neck-length beige hair, with two bangs framing her face, and her eyes had a striking ruby hue. She dressed in a classic maid’s uniform.
She bowed upon entering the room.
“Good morning, Lord Helios; I am your maid for the day.” She respectfully spoke.
“Morning, Fith. How have your days been?” I spoke- already done dressing up while sitting on the edge of the bed.
‘LORD HELIOS KNOWS MY NAME!’ She screamed in her mind.
Tears were about to burst out of her eyes. Because Fith has a sentimental personality, knowing that Lord Helios knows her name brings her great pleasure.
“Why are you crying, Fith,” I spoke while slowly walking toward her.
“Oh, it’s nothing, Lord. I was just happy knowing you know my insignificant name.” She spoke while wiping away her tears.
“All right then. But, if anything is bothering you, do let me know.” I spoke while patting her head, which caused her to blush.
Understood, Lord Helios.” She spoke while enjoying my head pats.
“Also, get some maids to clean this room,” I spoke while pointing toward the bedsheet with a few minor blood stains.
“I understand, Lord. It should be done in no time,” I nodded and began walking toward my office; Fith also began following me- while contacting some maids to clean up my bedroom.
In the original series, the Homunculus Maids typically had abilities and classes at level one. Statistically, they outperformed level one humans, yet their chances of winning in a confrontation were only 60%.
However, I made them level 25; They could use a few spells and had classes like Maid, etc.
Anyways, we kept walking through the hallways of the 9th floor. While walking toward my office, I met with a few NPCs of the Nazarick, one of them being Éclair Éklair Éklare, one of the butlers tasked with cleaning the 9th and 10th floors. In the original series, he planned to take over Nazarick, as his creator- AnkoroMochiMochi- programmed him to do so.
However, I changed it after his creator stopped playing because I didn’t want to take the risk.
“How goes, Éclair?” I asked while approaching him.
“If it isn’t Lord Helios.” He spoke while rotating a comb on his flippers and combing his hair.
“I am doing splendidly. How about you, Lord?” He spoke while bowing.
“I am doing fine myself; how’s your work going?” I spent a few moments talking with him before continuing my walk. It took me a few minutes to reach my office.
Albedo was standing beside the table. Once I neared it, she moved and hugged me.
“Good morning, darling,” She spoke while hugging me tightly. I also recuperated her hug by hugging her back.
After she let go, I moved to my chair, and she also moved and stood beside me.
“So, what’s today’s agenda?”
“Well, first on the list is the progress of the artificial monster horde.”
It had been a few days since the warning of Shadows’ Blades about the monster horde, and it had destroyed some small villages near the forest but hadn’t reached the port town. That’s because I was waiting for some big wigs, like Blue Roses or Red Drop, to show up there.
The reason was that I wanted to make the entrance of the Dark Lord a spectacle to behold. Once I get the confirmation that either of the Adamantite teams was on the move, the monster horde would start wreaking havoc.
“Have we got any information about the other Adamantite teams?” I asked her while looking at the map on the table, courtesy of one of the NPCs of the tomb named Sora.
She had a particular build for this kind of thing. Her status looked like this;

She could scan the area and convert it to a map, and this map was created by her. Although this map only covered regions of the Re-Estize kingdom and some areas of the Baharuth Empire.
Yet, it was thousands of times better than the maps found in this world.
“Well, about that,”
~Scene Change~
The guild master of the Re-Estize adventurer’s guild was seated on his chair. Before him stood the messenger from the port town of E-Naeurl.
“You seemed to be in a hurry; speak what was so important to hinder my sleep,” The guild master- who had a thick moustache, grey hair, and a buff physique- spoke while rubbing his eyes.
“Yes, guild master, the guild master of the adventurer’s guild of E-Naeurl, asks for your help.”
“What happened for him to ask me for help?” He spoke with a bit of seriousness in his tone.
“You see, some of the adventurers reported that they heard a massive monster horde in the Great Forest of Tob, and according to them, it is moving in the direction of the town.”
“A monster horde, you say? Can those adventurers be trusted?” The guild master spoke seriously.
“Please rest assured, the adventurer that reported it is a member of the newly promoted Adamantite team, Shadows’ Blade.”
Shock was written on the guild master’s face. It was not every day that a team was promoted to the Adamantite rank.
“Ok then, how large of a horde are we talking about, and what’s the average difficulty rating of the monsters?”
“We are not sure of the numbers yet, but according to some initial reports, the number should be above 200; as for the difficulty rating, we aren’t sure. But again, according to some reports, there are monsters with 70+ rating difficulty.”
Adventurers and monsters were divided into various ratings/levels; these were;
F Class: 1~10 – People skilled at handling weapons could fight against monsters with this difficulty (Example: Normal goblins).
E Class: 11~20 – Monsters that couldn’t be beaten by an average person, only by a trained person. (Example: Ogres)
D Class: 21~30 – Needed veteran soldiers or silver adventurers to deal with.
C Class: 31~40 – Gold-rank adventurers or elite troops.
B Class: 41~50 – Platinum rank adventurers and above could deal with them.
A Class: 51~60 – A rank that an ultra-elite warrior or Mithril adventurers could manage.
A+ Class: 61~70 – Orichalcum Adventurers that used 4th-tier spells were here.
A++ Class: 71 ~ – A rumoured difficulty level suitable for an Adamantite adventurer, around 90.
Everything that was difficulty 100 and above was considered to be above humanly possible.
The guild master was shocked to hear this. One needs to know that there weren’t many known monsters above A++ Class, and a horde that potentially had more than one of these monsters was very dangerous.
If the information he had received was accurate, then this horde was a national threat because no one knew where this horde would go if the port town were destroyed.
“OK, you wait at the inn; I must meet with his majesty to discuss this. We might need to send an army for it. But before that, I would like to confirm it myself.”
The Guild master spoke while standing up from his seat; the messenger bowed.
“I understand, guild master. I shall wait at the inn.”
The guild master nodded and proceeded toward the room’s exit, followed by the messenger.
‘I need to select someone fast and good at collecting information. Some of the members of the Blue Roses sound good. I’ll meet with them after talking with his majesty.’
He exited the guild while thinking about the plans for if the horde was real and had monsters of A++ Class.
