Overlord Of Goldema - Chapter 10
Gold and Miia arrived in the town after a long day of walking. They walked through the town and found the Guild building. They walked up to the receptionist and Gold tapped on her desk. She lifted her eyes from her work and smiled at them, “How can I help you? Oh, you are silver plates, ah, I guess you are here for a quest?” Gold nodded, “Challenging or simple?” Gold looked down at Miia and laughed.
“Something with killing, killing anything.”
“Well then, um, here we have 3 quests for killing, monsters, a bandit hideout that needs to be wiped and another monster quest, what do you chose?”
“I think the bandit hideout would do,” He turned at looked at the windows, “I think we will do it tomorrow morning, since we just walked a fair bit and I am pretty tired.”
“Well, here you go,” She said handing them the letter with the quest, “Maybe you should go see father Leon today to tell him that you accepted his quest, he lives next to the church near the middle of the town.”
“I think we will do that, thank you,” Him and Miia walked out of the Guild building and saw a building with an inn sign on it, “I guess we can come back here after we go find this guy, father Leon,” They walked and soon found the church and Gold walked over to the door next to the church and knocked, “I wonder if he is home,” He said as the door opened, “Good evening father Leon, I am Gold and this is Miia, we have accepted this, from your part,” He held out the letter and Leon quickly looked over it.
“Ah, yes, thank you, my son, those bandits have be terrorizing the paths that exit the city heading north for too long now, I think that my reward isn’t too bad for that job.”
“5 silver coins is good, but I don’t really care for the money too much, where did you say they were? Like the hideout?”
“If you leave the town, you take the road heading north east and you should be able to find the hideout, if the bandits attack you, well, they always attack,” Leon explained, “Thank you for taking my quest.”
“My pleasure,” He said as he shook his hand and they left, “This will be fun, don’t you think Miia?”
“Will I be rewarded again, master?” She said with a cheerful face, “Please master, I loved your rewards.”
“Maybe, it all depends on you tomorrow,” He chuckled, “Now let’s get to the inn and get a room, I am, yawn, pretty tired, are you hungry?” She nodded, “Well, I suppose we can get some food, why do you insist on walking on your hands and knees?”
“Master, this is how you told me to walk, so I said I would, so I do,” She said looking up at him, “So I walk like this for you, master.”
“O-okay, and the clothes?”
“It is easier to clean myself when I get dirty and to walk like this, I can’t really wear human clothes, master,” She looked up at him and smiled slyly, “I have a feeling that you like seeing me like this, master.”
“No, no, no,” She looked up at him with a sad puppy face, “Well, um, not really, um, maybe a little, just a little, a little bit, maybe I do, um, stop making me nervous, Miia,” They walked into the inn and walked up to the bar counter, “A room and some food please, good sir.”
“Will do, just take a seat, I’ll bring you the key and some food and drinks,” They sat at an empty table, well, Gold sat on a chair and Miia sat on her knees on the floor next to him. He noticed some guys eyeballing Miia. They whistled at her and one of them walked over to them, “Can I help you?” Gold said looking up at the man.
“How much?”
“What do you mean?” He pointed at Miia, “Her? Your life, if you touch her.”
“Brother, I am just offering some coin for her body, I didn’t know you were her father or some shit, but are you sure I can’t buy a night with her? I have-,” Gold got up and grabbed the man by the neck. He tried to free himself from Gold’s grip, punching and scratching at his arm.

“Leave her alone, is that clear?” The man nodded weakly and Gold released his grip, “Now, tell your friends to shut up,” He man scurried back to his table and they all looked away from Gold and Miia, he shook his head, “Why would I sell you? I wouldn’t sell you for a thing in the world.”
“Really, master?” She looked up at Gold with a cheerful smile, “I am sorry for today, I was just annoyed because of you and Katie, I am sorry, master, forgive me, but punish me if you deem it necessary, master.”
“No, I don’t think it is necessary, I can understand you,” The bartender arrive with two plates of food, some drinks and placed them in the table and gave Gold a key, “Thank you, how much do I owe you?”
“5 bronze coins,” Gold gave him a few coins, “Thank you, have a good evening, if you need anything, ask me.”
“Thank you,” The bartender left and two large guys in armor tapped his shoulder, “How can I help you?” They sat down at the table and then one of them gestured to Miia, “What’s with her?”
“How much? I could use a pretty little body like that,” Gold gritted his teeth as one of them moved his hand closer to her, “I got some money, how much for her?”
“Don’t you dare touch her.”
“What do you mean? I need to check out the merchandise before I buy,” He placed his hand on her. Gold put his hand out, “What does that mean?”
“Tier 1, cast Bouncing Sparks,” A ball of electricity left his hands and bounced onto the man’s armor and the man fell onto the floor and rolled in pain, the other one drew his sword and lifted it up, “How about we do this outside? This inn isn’t the problem here.”
“Now, let’s settle this with a duel,” Gold said, “Or a handicap fight, 2 on 1, you 2 versus me and if you win, you get her,” Miia looked up at him shocked, “And you can do whatever you want with her,” Miia had wide eyes, “And if I win, you’ll give me that money and you get the hell out of my sight.”
“Let’s make it so that you can’t use any offensive spells,” The man laughed as the two of them drew their swords, “How about that? I can’t wait to grind her body.”
“Deal, Miia, stand over there,” She walked over to the side of the street. The men ran towards him, “Tier 7, cast Major Agility,” He dodged out of the way of the strikes, “Tier 8, cast Major Strength,” He dodged another attack and hopped back laughing, “You guys need to up your game,” He moved to the right and dodged another strike, “Please, even if I don’t use offensive magic, you are going to kill yourselves,” He looked up and saw a blade racing towards him, “Let’s try a new spell, tier 4, cast Physical Counter,” His hand glowed with a white aura as the blade struck his hand. The blade stopped and a white, ghost blade slashed back at the man and sent him flying back. The other man swung his blade and flames burst out of the blade, “Tier 7, cast Full Counter,” He moved his hand in the path of the blade and it stopped as soon as it hit his hand. Another white, ghost blade swung at the man and set him crashing to the floor. He laughed and grabbed the bag from the man’s belt, “I think I am done here, time to go finish our food, come on Miia,” She hurried to his side and they walked back into the inn, “Sorry I scared you with that deal, I just wanted to practice my counter magic, I began learning the spells some time ago but never really found a time to test them out, so those two numb heads were dumb enough to challenge me, warrior vs spell caster,” They headed back inside and he gave her the plate of food. She hesitated and then sat on the chair next to him and moved closer to him, he laughed and took off her collar as she began eating.
