Overpowered life of a Drako Tamer - Chapter 6 Respec
When Elias woke up it was morning. As he remembered the fight from last night he remembered the thrill he felt. As a grin worked it’s way on the young mans face it was erased by Ani as she began sniffing his face.
Swoo Swoo
Mir was also next to him on the bed. The three seemed to fit perfectly. He moved the reluctant Mir from his place on the bed and began to put on fresh clothes when something caught his eye on the dining table. A set of clothes were already set out and a note was laying on top of them. He flipped it open and read out loud.
“Dear Eli, that was an amazing fight, I know you can handle yourself well. Lucius is a good man and still grieves for the loss of your father. Help heal that wound if only a little. I made these for you, they are by far my best work. You will make great things happen I know it. Yours truly, Myra.”
Elias walked out of the house. He wore a white shirt, a black leather jacket with a crest of a storm cloud on the right shoulder. The left arm of the jacket held metal reinforcements extending down the arm. The jacket extended down to his knees giving a more cape feel. His pants were blue and reinforced down each leg the same way the arm was.
Despite it’s appearance it was unimaginably light. As well to the lightness it was also cooling, despite the warmth of the sun. It was quiet possibly the finest crafted jacket in the kingdom, and he believed it was on par with the lords in the capital city. Granny Myra had gone all out making this for him and he thanked her silently. Mir walked out of the cabin seemingly admiring him and gave him a playful nudge.
Lucius was talking to his grandpa sitting at the table the remnants of his party spread about the ground. Lucius was smiling now, it seems he was able to let out some steam last night. Lucius looked up at Elias and his smile grew even wider. He acted like a different man than he had the night before.
“Aw your awake, I may have put in a little too much force in that chop last night, sorry. Besides that, you fight like your father. He would always play tricks like that, and he would always spend a night in the infirmary because of it.”
He gave a small chuckle, it seems that Lucius was good friends with his father. Elias felt a small pain in his chest. He had not known his father or mother, but regularly visited his mother’s grave. He would spend long sleepless nights thinking about who they were and what it would have been like to know them.
“”You knew my father?”
“”Knew him, he was something like a brother. We met in the academy and fought every day until we could read each others minds. After our second year, we always ended in a draw.”
The man got up from the table and walked up to Elias and held out his hand. Elias took it and a small vision flashed threw his head, two men shaking hands in the middle of an arena with grins and dirt on their faces. Shaking it off as his imagination he let go. And right then locking eyes with the man he realized what the look in his eyes were last night, it was sadness and a deep grievance.
“Oh, and here is your present, I don’t only dish out punches you know.”
He threw a leather satchel with a single shoulder strap. It was rather plain besides a red strip going down the middle. It seemed to him to have very little space, enough for a couple books at most. He opened it up and instead of seeing the bottom of the bag instead saw nothing. He stuck his hand inside, then his arm.
“It’s a bag of holding, you can shove as many things in there as you desire and can pull them out at a thought. Although I suggest making a list of what you put in so as to not forget about things.”
He thanked him and placed a stick inside and pulled it back out clearly amused.
Jahrico got up from his seat at the table and grew serious.
“Lucius, he is ready.”
The man pulled out a small metal object from his pocket and held it out to Elias. It was a small pin with the appearance of a bird with it’s wings outstretched.
Yes, he has passed my test. He is accepted into the academy, and shall become the successor of the Stormbrew name.”
