Overpowered System! - Chapter 120：Back to Mother.

After leaving, Lie Wei Ying exited the portal. He quickly arrived at Mother just outside the Desert of Death.

One year in the Monarch Knight Worlds had passed by since he left. However, it had been roughly a week in the world of Mother, his home planet. Because of the dimensional difference in time, the Great Horandia had yet to attack Lie Wei Ying’s family, and he was still waiting outside the portal for Lie Wei Ying.

In that long week of him waiting outside the doorway to the Monarch Worlds. The Great Horandia had done nothing besides meditate on the Dao, and had surprisingly broken through into the Cosmic Immortal stage. Because of that break through, his body was glowing with a refined light caused by his sixteen cosmic body parts. Then there was the tribulation he experienced.

Overall, it was a long week, but he had given Lie Wei Ying a month. He was planning on using this month to breakthrough into the Cosmic Celestial stage thanks to the Alternate reality system.

His new potential was insane, and that was because he was someone that was saved by the Alternate Reality System’s master. The man responsible for the system was named Fai Gang, and he felt indebted to Fai Gang for saving him just a week ago. Now, he was waiting here faithfully because of Fai Gang’s orders. In fact, Fai Gang, who was behind him, was able to summon abilities from other universes and gift them to others. Basically, he made a great teammate.

They had planned to wait here for Lie Wei Ying, and his master was in the bushes occasionally assisting him in his cultivation.

However, before he could improve anymore something odd happened. A small boy seemed to show up in his eyes as the monarch doorway opened.

He had no idea how this could happen because doors like these only had one other entrance way. Lie Wei Ying had the other door, and it wouldn’t be him. After all, how strong could he get in a week?

He sighed before he closed his eyes once again and started thinking about it. It was most likely an illusion he concluded, and he returned to his meditation.

Occasionally, he’d been experiencing illusions of Lie Wei Ying’s arrival, and every time there would be a great battle before he ate the little boy, and gifted his system to his master.

At this moment, he yawned before he felt something tap his neck. He didn’t know what it was, but then he felt a calming sense of air spread through his body. Without further ado, he closed his eyes.

“Congratulations, you’ve killed the Great Horandia. Exp boost x 2”

Lie Wei Ying sighed at the decreased experience and kicked away the gigantic horned head off the Great Horandia’s body. He was well aware that he could’ve been kinder and actually let him fight him. Even so, this man wanted to kill his family, and he didn’t even know how to fight someone so weak. Because of that, he didn’t fight him and gave him a merciful slice rather then making him suffer.

At this moment, though, he noticed the Grim Reaper was already chasing after that one presence in the bushes.

Fai Gang, who was with the Great Horandia, sighed and held his hands after being noticed. The Grim Reaper was incredibly fast, and he had no idea why he was with Lie Wei Ying, but he still found him in the shrubs. He dropped a small object on the floor and rose from the bushes.

The Grim Reaper, at this time, already had his scythe wrapped around the man’s head. He yanked him by the neck, and caused him to stumble out from hiding. After falling on the ground for a second, he looked up and laughed towards the small, but freakishly terrifying boy.

“…Ah… It seems you’ve made friends, Lie Wei Ying,” Fai Gang said and struggled to return to his feet. The grass blades were crushed underneath him, and he saw himself dying hundreds of times in millions of different worlds.

Regardless, he had to focus, so he tuned into Lie Wei Ying.

“Do I know you,” Lie Wei Ying replied.

“Ha… well… I know you would know me, but right now you don’t. In fact, if you did, you’d probably be dead, but since you don’t you are alive. Also, you’re much stronger in this reality… What have you done to my sister?”

Lie Wei Ying looked at him with a puzzled expression. “You… you’re not a normal guy, are you?”

The Grim reaper pushed him by the back sending him sliding into the dirt once again. He landed by Lie Wei Ying and started laughing at all the fates he saw. He wasn’t going to come out of this alright unless he was really clever.

“Heh… hehehehe… No, I’ve seen more realities than any man could, but not this one and I don’t know why. In fact, you’re stronger than all realities I can see combined at the moment. I don’t see how I can survive this, either, without saying my sister is Yu Yan in one.”

The Alternate Reality system was a system that allowed Fai Gang to be in many worlds at once, which sort of his personality into what it was today. Every time he spoke, it literally made no sense. All the knowledge of 1000s of universes was trying to be comprehended, but alas it was too much.

Yet he knew that Lie Wei Ying and Yu Yan were two people always aligned. It made sense to say that he was his sister.

Lie Wei Ying, anyways, immediately felt a sense of relief hearing Yu Yan’s name out of this scum bags mouth. Just because of that name, rather then killing him immediately, he offered out his hand and pulled him up.

The grim reaper chimed in a second later, “well, I still think you should kill him Lie Wei Ying,”

“Enough Grim… he really might be her brother,” he said and dusted off the mans shirt.

Truthfully, Lie Wie Ying knew nothing about Yu Yan’s past and felt good at having this chance.

Fai Gang, at this moment, was experiencing many things and hardly realized Lie Wei Ying tugged him up. He saw a string of possibilities and would occasionally hold out his arms to try and stop actions from different dimensions. Out of all the systems, this one perhaps had the biggest effect on someone’s sanity. He pointed towards the grim reaper.

“….Stop, stop killing with that scythe, you monster!”

“Grim, I think he has some weird type of ability… Let’s hear him out.” Lie Wei Ying joined in.

“I’m not weird alright,” Fai Gang answered completely missing the conversation going on in this dimension..

Regardless, a moment later, the three of them were sitting down.

Three different men with systems sat down and Fai Gang tried to explain himself.

First, he clarified a few things about how he saw Yu Yan dying in this reality. He made sure to say that Lie Wei Ying had to be delayed in order to save Yu Yan’s death in the second realm.

He forgot to mention that he wanted to kill Lie Wei Ying, but in order to live he lied. In fact, he started seeing some possibilities of actually surviving this. He nodded his head at Lie Wei Ying as he spoke the words he was waiting for.

“…So, you just wanted to protect her, I get it, but if you wanted to live so bad, you’re going to have to give me something in return.”

Fai Gang laughed and scooted away a tiny bit from the Grim Reaper. “I… I have a great ability Lie Wei Ying, so if you let me live I’ll give you a subsystem that you would’ve gotten in the game system.”

“Well, that’s good, but tell me what subsystem it is first.”

Fai Gang shook his head. “No, reality must not know, or Fate… If I talk, they will find out.”

“Alright… give it to me and I’ll let you live.”

Obviously, Fai Gang didn’t reject this offer, and once gain didn’t disclose he had to be in Lie Wie Ying’s proximity to receive the system. Basically, he had to be in the area of a person’s dead body to carry out the gift. He had been killing Great Horandia’s and Lie Wei Ying’s for weeks in different realities. Regardless, this Lie Wei Ying was different and frightening because this one had acquired the Overpowered system, and not one of the other weakling systems. He held out his hand and called forth a [reality shift].

“Congratulations, you’ve acquired the Game Subsystem… Ability to examine stats, and strengths of yourself and others has been learned.”

Lie Wie Ying smiled and then tugged Fai Gang up. He wasn’t an idiot and could tell that this was a ruse. Also, even though he explained Yu Yan was his sister in another universe, was it really enough to stop him from killing him?

“Gush!”

In Fai Gang’s eyes he saw many realities where he did survive. His soul went off to find one of those realities, but then before it could a hand reached out and grabbed onto him. He wiggled with a dreadful fear before the Grim Reaper extended his hand and grabbed the floating ephemeral orb.

In that moment, he shoved the soul into his mouth, and swallowed it with a happy expression.

“…. Master… sorry… I couldn’t help myself.”

Lie Wei Ying laughed and then pat him on the back. “It’s probably better that you did that… Anyway, what was your name again?”

He heard the Grim Reaper start talking, but focused all of his attention on the sun.
