Overpowered System! - Chapter 155:Alpha's Team.
“Hey, Haruki! Stop being such a coward and join us in the center! We’re going to lose anyway!”
“I uhmmm, I don’t know guys…. I’m sorry General, but I think I’ll stay in position.”
“Queenie… leave him alone. He’s only a Rising Saint, and chose the wrong class. If he wishes to mope let him do it!”
Lie Wei Ying could only sigh as he heard these voices. When he left the mirror, he arrived in an arena where his new team was chatting.
The arena was full with the sound of blades clashing and explosions at the spawning point for his team. This was a bunker with windows and the AI Guards he’d find out about later. Now, though, a red wall appeared behind him and shot him onto the field.
“Hey… hey Lie Wei Ying… You forgot to put in a code name! Don’t be like Haruki here, and come up with something cool!”
Alpha Lord was the one speaking and he was the Team Captain. He was in the Rising saint realm, and his voice was as deep as his loss record. They were the worst team in the seventh warzone known as the Grim lands.
However, because of their loss record, the multiplayer system assigned them Lie Wei Ying. He was taking over for Phoenix, and it was hard for him to understand what was going on.
“Hmmm, I personally hope this Lie Wei Ying dies… I actually hope you all die,” Selfish Moons said while she ran forward. Her footsteps could be heard in the monitor as well as screams.
Lie Wei Ying could only sigh and put in the nickname LWY. He wasn’t very good at names, but the abbreviation was easy enough. A second later, laughter rung in his ears.
“Ha… that’s so original! You’re almost as bad as Haruki who took out his last name!” Selfish Moon said.
“Sister… You need to stop! Not every man is bad as your father…” Haruki bravely blurted. These were his new teammates, and though introduced quickly, he could only sigh and accept the push on his back.
“LWY has entered the field… Transporting to warzone…”
Lie Wei Ying felt the AIs with their endless strength brandish their arms against his back. In what seemed like an unexplained turn of events, he ended up in front of hundreds of screaming creatures.
A second later, though, Alpha Lord showed up by his side in his space suit. He was wielding a katana and was part of the samurai class.
“Hmph, just kill these things and watch out for the other teams! If you get distracted because of these rice men, we’ll end up losing.”
“Rice men?” Lie Wei Ying saw these white creatures and was confused. They were referred to as the onigiri by the players and would turn into gunk when they died.
The thing about these creatures though was they were like rice zombies in a way. Basically, when Lie Wei Ying and Alpha Lord approached them, even when they died they’d reform.
“Cut their heads off, and don’t ask any questions! We got to think ahead about when the other team will arrive!”
Alpha Lord immediately shot off the ground into the rice men. They screamed and then to his shock the rice men were all dead.
Lie Wei Ying was there with two daggers in his hand, and was stabbing one of the onigiri in the eyes.
“Hmmm, they don’t seem to tough,” Lie Wei Ying said after rushing these monsters. He was so fast that Alpha Lord could only gawk and look down at his watch.
When he first received Lie Wei Ying, he was sure since he was a Saint Immortal it would be pointless to even hope to win his love back. However, after pulling up LWY’s stats on his commander module he could only start shivering with excitement.
In this game, there was a few people known as Hackers, and they usually were expelled after just a few minutes. However, if you had a hacker on your team, you were guaranteed to win at least a few territories.
He’d been waiting for this, and Lie Wei Ying excited him and even caused Selfish Moons to start laughing with excitement.
“Heh… the new guy isn’t bad… Seems like his Onigiri count just shot up! What do you say Haruki… you gonna come out of your hole now?”
Haruki could only sigh. “…I… I’ll meet you guys in the center, but please no more raids today…”
….
After a few minutes, Lie Wei Ying had killed all the Onigiri in the Fort.
The other teams had a few snipers mounted on the fields and they were watching in disbelief at their new enemy.
Watching Lie Wei was like watching a trained veteran from the third realm war zones. Most of the snipers could only gawk as their bullet hands quivered. If they pulled the trigger, wouldn’t it cause him to target their bunkers?
It would be bad to trigger this man seeing as there was three teams, the human emperor’s armies, the dragon king’s army, and the azure phoenix mercenaries, all on this field. If you were to win this game, strategy was necessary as was leadership. This, by far, was one of Lie Wei Ying’s worst skills.
However, the surrounding teams could only report this bizarre display to one of the admins from the third realm.
Hopefully, in a few minutes, Lie Wei Ying would be kicked off the battle field, and they could go back to slaughtering the Dragon King’s fort. Be that as it may, something was quite scary about him even remaining on this field for a few minutes.
“Hey… Lie Wei Ying… My name is Ever Queen and they call me Queenie for short. I’m in charge of the strategy, and it be really nice if you came here for a moment…”
Lie Wei Ying now noticed he had a map on his side bar. Nodding his head, he took off at his ridiculous speed. The onigiri around him were cast away by the wind, and fell prey to him once again.
“Alright, but I still don’t understand the rules,” Lie Wei Ying admitted into the microphone. His mature voice was still hard for him to get used to, but nonetheless it was his, and the team was glad he was on the field.
A moment later, a deadly quietness swept the battle field as the teams all had meetings.
