Paragon of Sin - Chapter 1635: : Two Guides
“AZIZA! TODAY, YOU DIE!”
The thunderous, explosive, and intensely murderous roar screeched through the void, a rampant, destructive wave of decimating force. The words themselves were not the common language of mortals or mysticism, but an entirely foreign and unrecognizable dialect.
Wei Wuyin, Su Mei, and Grey Rose reacted to the raging wave approaching. Su Mei executed a single hand-seal and accessed her authority over Minor Elysium’s formations, immediately conjuring a defensive ward. Grey Rose’s eyes narrowed as she moved before Cao Cuifen and prioritized her safety over everyone else. Before Cao Cuifen could notice the incoming wave, her entire body was engulfed by a dense, refined grayish shroud of mystic power. She was thoroughly protected.
Wei Wuyin’s action was far more direct and domineering. With a vanishing blur, he appeared outside the defensive ward and used his hand as a saber of annihilation, slicing the torrential wave of destructive force in two and causing it to instantly veer into two different directions, missing the Minor Elysium entirely.
With his Celestial Eyes, Wei Wuyin’s gaze followed eight exceedingly fast figures blitzing across the void. They each exuded auras at the Heavenly Saint Phase and Worldly Saint Phases, each containing heavy traces of an Origin State’s internal mana purity and external mana dominance, and were of the human race. They flew aided by the ambient chaos mana as if it were their greatest support, enhancing their speeds to absurd levels.
Seven of them chased after a young woman whose cultivation base was notably inferior as a World Emperor, yet her control over the ambient chaos mana was vastly superior. She stunted their flying speed and impeded spatial shifting. If their Origin States were roughly at the 3rd or 4th State, she was certainly at the 7th or 8th State. However, her aura was chaotic and dissipating, clearly signs of rapid exhaustion on the verge of complete collapse.
For the young woman to be so exhausted and so far away to the outer edge of the galaxy, she must have been chased for an extensively long period. Moreover, the sole Original Magistrate was sinister, not going all out and waiting for complete exhaustion to settle in. They were acting vigilant of self-detonation or self-sacrificial arts and had no issue preparing for that eventuality while maintaining their full strength.
They wanted her dead.
They chased away from the Minor Elysium. It seemed the leading Original Magistrate of the seven had tried to unleash a wide-range Ascension Art to disrupt the young woman’s spirit and impact her body, weakening her further, perhaps even taunting her and hoping to affect her psyche. Wei Wuyin had originally thought it was an attack disguised as an unintended casualty, but the fact they rushed away so fast meant that was highly unlikely. It was just bad timing.
“Her cultivation base isn’t too bad. However, there’s a dense aura of violence surrounding her. This woman has killed quite a few individuals.” Wei Wuyin’s emotions calmed as he canceled his evocation of his Idol of the Stellar Paragon, ready to slay another Sage. This was outside the galaxy, so finding World Emperors and Heavenly Saints was extremely rare. This was information from both Sage Springfield and Teng Jiangwen’s experiences and knowledge of galaxies.
This was highly abnormal.
That said, Wei Wuyin wasn’t a saint; he observed silently as he inspected the young woman’s appearance. She had dark-blue eyes and silk-like black hair, warm light-brown skin with splashes of burgundy-colored blood, likely belonging to a powerful existence that made it so wiping it off required effort and time, both of which she couldn’t spare. Her robes were icy blue and gray, similarly coated in patches of burgundy blood.
She was certainly a beauty, no question. However, if there was a scale of beauty with some being able to move nations, planets, or starfields, others capable of causing a war between stellar regions, and those like Wei Xiaotian whose looks could disturb entire galactic zones, she was most certainly on the level of a starfield mover. It was incredible, simply not too impressive to those who’ve experienced all sorts of women.
Wei Wuyin preferred Bloodtorrent’s vicious aura, especially that rowdy and beautifully unkempt hair that stood out, most importantly her wild hips and wilder moans.
However, even if the young woman was more beautiful, Wei Wuyin wouldn’t directly act without tangible gains in sight. She didn’t have a unique quality that he could sense nor possess outstanding talent that was discernible at a glance. There was no Blessed or Sinner aura either. She was just an ordinary cultivator that offended an extraordinary force, chased to the outer edge of the galaxy. If nothing else changed, she was destined to arrive in Hell soon.
Instead, Wei Wuyin was observing the leading Original Magistrate more closely. It was also a woman, and they had been the ones to unleash that raging torrent of mystic power that threatened the Minor Elysium. Her beauty was far more righteous as she was garbed in gold and white, with long, sparkling blonde hair yet her aura was radiating murderous intentions. The others seemed proper as well, a mixture of middle-aged, elderly, and young-looking young men and women. They were all similarly dressed, representing a singular force.
With enough time they should escape Yue Songli’s range of perception, and the death should happen out of sight. He didn’t want to spoil her mood.
“Well, whatever.” Wei Wuyin turned around when he felt a spiritual sense sweep across him. He had just mentally wiped his hands of this matter and decided not to teach anyone a lesson. However, that spiritual sense was waning and weak, desperate and desiring for life.
He turned and saw a chaotic blast of chaos mana. The seven white and gold-robed pursuers guarded as if expecting a self-detonation, but the young woman explosively shot back toward the Minor Elysium with an exquisite maneuver and fake-out. She was experienced with deception and escape. Unfortunately for her, she was still at the end of her ropes.
He softly sighed.
Yue Songli’s eyes were already focusing on the approaching young woman desperate for life.
A strained spiritual roar sent out a broad-range spiritual transmission.
“SENIOR! PLEASE, SAVE ME! I’LL DO ANYTHING!!”
She directed everything toward Wei Wuyin, even causing faint tears to manifest as she made herself seem incredibly pitiful. While she was truly desperate, her mental fluctuations indicated that her actions were half-act and half-real. Her pleading words caused her pursuers to flinch slightly, noticing the void vessel that had appeared.
They saw Wei Wuyin standing there in the Dark Void, his aura as unfathomable as the void, his looks as unearthly as an immortal, garbed in uniquely designed and exquisite-looking martial and alchemist hybrid robes. They only glanced at him with their ocular spells and felt a palpitation in their hearts without fail. They didn’t chase. None of them were stupid.
They were outside of the galaxy’s borders solely out of a long pursuit, and that was extremely dangerous, and they still only stayed at the very edge of the border, not daring to venture outward further, not even the young woman dared to, knowing it was certain death. She was looking for a chance to survive, not to die without knowing how.
Wei Wuyin turned to Yue Songli, who was watching him with an innocent look. Once again, he sighed.
“Do you want a maid to tend to your needs while we’re here?” He asked Yue Songli through mental transmission. He didn’t think this woman was worthy of being a permanent maid to Yue Songli.
Yue Songli understood his question and thoughtfully replied,
“We could use a guide.”
Five words were enough to demote the young woman from a maid who might have received a blessing that Blessed could only pray for, even if temporary, to vastly reduced benefits. Yue Songli was kind-hearted, and big-hearted, yet she was a cultivator who had a little discussion with Cao Cuifen about a few things over this trip. She knew she had to represent herself well when compared to Wei Wuyin’s status properly. While not even Cao Cuifen could properly adjust quickly to Wei Wuyin’s status, strength, wealth, and means, she was getting there.
It was quite difficult to jump from a young man who had infinite potential to an emperor who was conquering galaxies, having Mystic Overlords barking at his heel for scraps and favor. Grey Rose submitted herself as a maid to Cao Cuifen of her own accord, all for the chance to receive Wei Wuyin’s favor through her. That was significant.
Yue Songli was also deliberate, releasing a spiritual transmission. This caused those chasing the young woman to halt entirely, their expression changing rapidly, and they looked at each other questioning and with visible frustration etched across their faces. The leading Original Magistrate waited.
The young woman arrived beside Wei Wuyin with glowing eyes of hope. She hurriedly bowed to Wei Wuyin, and then Yue Songli on the ship, utterly shaken internally at both Wei Wuyin’s extraordinary looks and Yue Songli’s tantalizing, almost outrageous body and sensual beauty that inspired envy. She tried to hide her thoughts, but her exhausted state made that quite difficult as her expression twisted with lust for Wei Wuyin and surprise at Yue Songli.
“Thank you. I’ll be your guide for as long as you need me, Seniors,” she said before slipping behind Wei Wuyin while eyeing those pursuers who didn’t dare to approach. Her gaze was radiating murderous intentions for future vengeance. Eventually, after some spiritual transmissions, the group of seven at the lead of the righteous-looking woman flew cautiously and respectfully forward without daring to fluctuate their auras too wildly.
“Senior…?” The righteous-looking woman made a foreign gesture that was a right arm over her heart, a left arm blocking her gaze, and a slight bow of her head and body. This was a sign of immense respect for a specific culture, and Teng Jiangwen was familiar with it. Wei Wuyin replied with an acknowledging gesture of a flat palm to his face, touching his glabella with his middle finger, before doing an ‘I see you’ gesture toward her.
She removed her gaze and stood upright with a hint of shock on her face at Wei Wuyin’s familiar response, and this caused the young woman’s expression to change as vigilance and a tinge of fear flashed across her eyes. She had to restrain herself from running away lest she end up being captured immediately.
“Wei Wuyin,” Wei Wuyin introduced himself with only his name.
“So it’s Senior Wei! It’s my greatest honor to finally meet you in person,” she acted as if she recognized Wei Wuyin, and this caused Wei Wuyin to feel a little amused. She then continued, “This villainous witch is not suitable to act as your guide. I’ve been hunting her for nearly seven months for her heinous crimes against innocents. If you wish for a guide, I can personally offer my experience and expertise that far exceeds hers.”
Yue Songli blinked.
Wei Wuyin smiled,
“Good. You both can act as our guides then. Come on board.”
“…”
The group of seven were stunned.
“…”
The young woman visibly reeled in shock.
Wei Wuyin didn’t have time for any of this. He turned around and returned to the Minor Elysium. The two women exchanged glances, and the young woman gritted her teeth and hurriedly followed with a sense of urgency. Wei Wuyin’s way of conduct was incredibly domineering! There was not a single question asked.
The righteous-looking woman held a little conversation with the six others, and their expressions were full of shifting emotions, among which were confusion, dissatisfaction, killing intent, and hesitation. Eventually, the righteous-looking woman quieted them with a spiritual transmission and flew toward the ship. When she arrived on board, her heart quivered as a pair of terrifying eyes locked onto her.
It belonged to Grey Rose.
‘Mystic Overlord!’ The righteous-looking woman and young woman internally shouted with wide eyes, looking like twins.
