Parallel – A Virtual Reality. - Chapter 78
Dorek’s power tumultuously ȧssaulted the field as his overbearing aura grows.
“Kagito, I think it’s time to use the orbs”
Arksen steps forward as his martial aura grows stronger too. Right now, they were finally at the final steps of the battle so holding back would be a big mistake.
Dorek’s armor starts melting inside his body as his shape starts growing. His expression contorted in fury.
Kagito slashes with his sword upward, a silver flash comes from it as it goes high up in the sky.
At that moment, all the elders take out their orbs and start channeling all their powers on them.
Soon, filaments come from it as they go towards Dorek’s Throne.
The Throne starts shining as ethereal chains appear suddenly going towards Dorek.
Dorek opens his eyes and they glow with a dark green color. A fiendish grin appears on his face as the chains start revolving around him.
“FINALLY!!”
The chains converging towards his body, his expression didn’t change as his trident starts glowing with the same dark green color.
Grudel looks back from his confrontation with Isca and Jules and clicks his tongue.
“That’s too hasty, but let me help you this one final time, little Prince chesspiece”
A green glow appears from Grudel’s eyes as his rings start shining and a thread of light goes towards Dorek’s trident.
Noticing something going wrong, Jules and Isca attack Grudel rapidly, while Arksen, Kagito, and the Barbarians attack Dorek.
But it was already too late as the malevolent dark green glow contaminates the ethereal chains.
The Orbs soon start glowing in that same color as each of the Scardinians elders growl in pain while holding them.
“Father, let the Orb go!”
Isca shouts hurriedly towards his father, Casca, and the group of elders.
Cold sweats start dropping from Casca as he keeps a firm grip on the Orb along with the other elders. Their eyes showed determination as they remember the conversation, they had previous to the battle with Kagito and Ardha in private.
“If there is a traitor, the most likely moment he would attack would be when we use the Orbs to seal Dorek’s power again”
Casca and the other elders look seriously at Kagito as he ushers those words. No one liked to think there is a traitor in their midst, but they couldn’t discard the notion despite that.
“We can’t use the Orbs, then?” Asks the chief of Scardi’s Ganz
Ardha shakes his head, “No, we have to use it, if we don’t when Dorek releases all his power it’s going to be very troublesome”
“Then…”
“The idea is to drag its sue until he can’t hold himself back anymore, doing it before that would be detrimental.”
They look puzzled, but Kagito takes out an image of the Draconic Spatial Orb. Shocks go through them as they look at that image.
“I don’t want to take it out because it generates quite some pressure, but with that, I am going to be able to restrain Dorek if the need arises, but I am going to need the help of the other Orbs too”
Casca looks seriously at the two humans and asks, “Then, what do you wish us to do?”
Kagito closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, “If something were to happen, you must not let go of the Orbs. Hold it with your life on the line”
The atmosphere turns heavy as they understood what Kagito was saying, but then, a voice wakes them up.
“I, Casca of Scardi’s Fors, am willing to give my life if the need arises”
Casca’s eyes looked firm with unyielding determination, and the rest of the chiefs step forward with the same determination.
Thus, they need to hold on now, hold that orb and not let go even if that means their death.
“HAHAHAHA, YES!! FINALLY, I AM GOING TO BE FREE!”
Dorek’s expression is filled with overwhelming and brutal excitement as his muscles start bulging, creating an almost oppressive atmosphere. The chains turn dark green as they start giving Dorek power instead.
But then, Grudel notices something wrong with the expression of the chiefs.
‘They should’ve let go of the Orbs by now, why they are not doing that?’
Then, Grudel’s eyes turn like needles and form hurriedly an arrow, but before he can even shoot it, a golden sword appears in his line of vision.
“Crepuscule” An horizontal slash filled with a golden-red glow blinds him for a moment as he grits his teeth to block this time.
When he regains his vision, he recognizes Kagito besides the Throne and a powerful suppression invades him.
Then, his ring starts shining tyrannically as the suppression lifts from his body, but the connection with Dorek’s Halberd is severed.
“Spatial Draconic Orb, Seal”
His voice reverberates through space as a new link appears on the Throne and the malevolent dark green glow violently fights back.
“GAAAAAAAAAAAH”
Dorek’s face contorts in pain as the clashes of energy surge in his body and his muscles stop bulging more. His aura turns chaotic and violent, as he grasps his Halberd tightly, then he looks at Kagito and fury invades him.
“BASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!”
A powerful howl explodes but he is soon met with Arksen’s spear and block it.
Blood comes out from the Chiefs holding the Orbs as they feel the same pain as Dorek, but they maintain their unyielding power.
“ISCA, FIGHT!!!” A powerful shout comes from Casca as his face looks fierce while blood starts coming from his scales too.
Isca grits his teeth tightly and looks towards Grudel, determination showing in his eyes as powerful undulations come from him. For some reason, the suppression doesn’t affect him and even a thread from the Draconic Spatial Orb comes to him.
His eyes and scales start glowing with an intense shine, majestic power coming from him as he stands against Grudel.
Grudel’s face turns ugly as he looks at Isca and Jules standing side by side facing him.
“Grudel, I remember you could never win against me in a frontal confrontation”
Isca’s body starts exerting powerful oppression as he steps forward.
“And today, I am going to show you why”
Hatred floods Grudel’s eyes as he growls and attacks Isca, and then disappears from the place.
BOOM BOOM BOOM.
He attacks wildly while growling, but he doesn’t manage to give a clear hit to Vladi as she moves around, her steps swift and dangerous.
Then, when she sees a wild punch from Zar, she steps forwards towards it.
Her eyes focused on a single part of Zar’s fist as her eyes slowly become like Aims.
Her entire being becomes like a dot, compressing and compressing, aiming and aiming. Her power is as if vanishing into the air.
‘A single bullet should be able to end a fight’
“One Bullet”
As she utters those words she fires her bullet.
The bullet flies silently, almost as if it isn’t there, to begin with. Like any other normal shot, she had done to Zar.
Then, what would normally happen, the bullet being flattened by his fist, didn’t happen.
The bullet penetrates through his fist, his middle finger crushed by it as the bullet goes out of his arm.
His action stops as he winces in pain and disbelief.
And the next moment, Vladi disappears from where she was and appears in front of his body.
Her eyes focused again on one single place of his ċhėst. A cold sensation sweeps at Zar as he moves to defend himself, but it was too late.
The bullet goes through his right ċhėst and comes out of his back.
Albeit a small bullet, the damage it provoked was too great.
Blood comes out of Zar’s wound as he steps back and grimaces.
Wariness and a tinge of a fear show in his eyes as he looks at Vladi preparing herself to attack again.
Even when he fought against Arksen exploding with his power, he didn’t feel such fear or danger. The moves of Vladi simply seemed, lethal.
‘If one of those bullets goes to my head’
His body shudders coldly as he grits his teeth and maintains a defensive position.
The battlefield had redistributed with the key people on them.
Back battlefield.
Vladi vs Zar
Isca and Jules vs Grudel
Middle Battlefield.
Clashing armies, Isa, Juran, and Tyrfing.
Front Battlefield.
Arksen, Kagito and the Barbarians vs Dorek.
Outside the main battlefields.
Ardha vs Zenith and Dontoshi.
The main leads were all reunited, but what they didn’t think about is…
That this might not be the only place a Fissure opened up.
