Part Time Star Full Time Dad - Chapter 68
Everyone was sat at the table enjoying a light lunch. Rose and Bella had a small bowl of Tuna Pasta. Mary and Sophie had a sweet chilling chicken wrap with some salad.
Grace enjoyed just having a salad. For Theodore, he had everything they had but double the portion.
“Mommy after lunch you need to see Rose’s room. It’s so pretty” Signed Bella
Puffing her chest out proudly, Rose shouted happily “Daddy is the best”
“Can dad do my Room?” Signed Bella
Theodore gave an awkward smile and said “Maybe”
“Don’t worry baby Mommy will get someone to do it?” Said, Grace
With a hard, Bella went back to eating her pasta.
“So what plans do you guys have for the rest of the day,” Asked Grace
“Well we were gonna work on Theo’s game” Said Sophie
“Stop saying that it’s our game” Said Theodore
“Oh,” Said Grace sounding disappointed
“But before that, we are completely free for a few hours,” Said Theodore
“Great, I’ve put together all the interesting styles that have appeared in Sole Piece and was hoping to get some insight into the material and even maybe get some other styles you’ve yet show” Said Grace with an enthusiastic tone.
“Sure Mary and Sophie can weigh in with their opinions,” Said Theodore
After lunch, Rose and Bella went back to playing in Rose’s bedroom with Icy happily following along.
Back in the living room Sophie, Mary, Grace, and Theodore we’re sat on the couch.
Grace then rummaged through her bag and pulled out a black cube made up of glass. Placing it on the table, she slid the top off and pressed her finger on top.
“Access Granted”
The glass cube then began to unravel itself as it slowly covered the top of the coffee table. Then haze of light blasted out as a 3D computer interface appeared.
Sophie was the first to react as she shouted “Oh my god its, it’s a LightTop”
Sophie then her face into one of the couch cushions.
“Yep It was present from dad,” Said Grace as she began to pull up her designs
Theodore and Mary were out of the loop so they just looked to Sophie for answers.
“Hey what are you doing?” Asked Theodore while poking Sophie in the shoulder
“They were supposed to be the future of home entertainment but after the first few uses, it had the tendency to act as a high-powered flashbang. Lucky people became short-sighted while others lost their vision entirely” Said Sophie stile hiding her face with a cushion
“No need to worry, this is one of the very few optimized LightTops,” Said Grace
A sense of relief washed over them.
Floating above the LightTop in all its glory was the beautifully simple styles of the Strawhat’s. There were exact duplicates of the original look and then there were variations of the look. Luffy’s waistcoat had a short crop top style and a long dress that had the buttons varying off to the side and down the leg.
“You didn’t change the horizontal lines on Nami’s top. Doesn’t it usually make the wearer look fat?” Said Sophie
“Ah no that’s a misconception. Horizontal lines with the right spacing visually change your shape and even emphasise particular parts. Like the thick line across the chest emphasises the bust here and the thin lines below it slightly narrows the waist” Said Grace pointing at the lines
“Then why did you keep the vertical lines for Sanji’s shirt?” Asked Mary
“It’s mostly hidden behind the suit jacket so it doesn’t cause too much trouble for the figure but it does give the perception of being tall hence why Theo intentionally made it show at the wrist. Showing just enough to emphasise his hight” Said Grace
Sophie then looked at Theodore confused by and said “So your actually a fashion designer?”
“I’m I wouldn’t say so that’s just common knowledge and as an artist understanding what’s flattering for the figure or not is just the basics,” Said Theodore nervously
‘I can’t say that I have no idea then it’s just suspicious’ Thought Theodore
“I had a problem with Choppers hat. This is a fur top hat, yes? Visually I can’t find anything that was appealing and decided on just the traditional silk. For the antlers should I go with plastic mold or stuffed antlers?” Asked Grace
“I think for safety go with stuffed antlers,” Said Theodore
“Is it possible for you to make a stuffed Chopper I think that that would be good merch,” Said Theodore
“Of course. Now my favorite character, Robbin. She has a few looks that are stunning and matches her personality perfectly. No changes necessary but the oversized leather jacket is proving to be difficult. I can’t seem to creat that shape without straps being introduced so put I put a thick strap at the waist and just above the stomach” Said Grace
They continued to discuss Sole Piece clothes for a full hour with the Navy jackets becoming its own line.
“My Batman fan might feel left out from all of this so how’s about” Said Theodore while doing a quick a few quick sketches
He drew three designs. One of them being a dark brown leather jacket with padded elbows, shoulders, and forearms with some rips and tears giving it a rugged look, and a small Bat symbol on the left chest.
Then a hoodie that had the Bat symbol in the center of the chest with the hood having two pointed bat ears and a detachable mask.
The third design was the Jason Todd leather jacket from the Arkham Knight game.
“The jackets can be for any age but the hoodie would most likely be very popular for kids. Once I introduce other characters we can do a whole line of Batman hoodies. Also, make it come in a variety of colours” Said Theodore
“Other character?! can we get a spoiler for any interesting females” Asked Sophie excitedly
Theodore then quickly drew Cat Women and said “She is someone I plan to introduce soon but I don’t think we can really sell her look as it does give a BDSM vibe”
“Umm I like her look” Said Mary
“Same” Said Sophie
“Hmm well there we go we now have a demographic” Said Grace
. . . . . . . . .
|Pov Icy|
In Rose’s bedroom, two smart toddlers could be seen trying to build a lego house with Icy helping with finding the right pieces. Theodore hadn’t noticed it but Icy is a lot smarter than he lets on.
Around a 2 weeks ago Icy had managed to fully understand the human language he had even learnt to count whilst listening to Theodore teaching Rose. Even his vision had improved drastically to match human vision. This means 20/20 vision and the very same colour vision.
Another huge change was his biology. The shoulder joints of his front legs were now double joined giving him the ability to imitate human arm movements. It hat also been reinforced.
“Icy 3 small,” Said Rose while looking at the instructions
Icy then dug through the pile of lego blocks before pushing the Lego block to Rose.
“Thank you” Said Rose before placing the block down
Rose had taught Icy colours during one of her games of House.
“Icy is super smart” Signed Bella
Rose gave a thoughtful nod and said proudly “I teach Icy lots and lots of things”
“Really?” Asked Bella
“Look, Icy stand,” Said Rose
Icy stood straight with no problem.
“Spin” Said Rose
Icy magically balanced on one foot and spun elegantly.
“Now fight” Said Rose
Icy through a few straight jabs whilst still standing before bending down and performing a jumping uppercut with a 360 spin.
Bella was stunned before clapping happily and then rubbing Icy’s head.
“Wow, good boy Icy you did amazing” Said Rose while joining Bella in rewarding Icy.
Rose had only taught Icy the straight punches as she had no knowledge of fighting but Icy being a breed of his own had learned the spinning uppercut through the T.V when Theodore was watching king fu movie.
At this point, Icy only looked and behaved like a dog but internally he was changing and becoming something more. Even with these changes, Icy had no reason to pursue anything more than what he already has.
These changes would be known soon as Icy wasn’t the only animal changing.
