Part Wolf - Chapter 132 Chapter 131
“Baby? You in there?” He asked, sounding concerned.
Her heart was pounding in her chest like a drum. She bet Zack could hear her from where he stood. Now she knew why her friends were laughing like that before they left in a hurry. Elize felt like a little kid, about to get candy. She covered her mouth as she chuckled mischievously. She looked around for a place to hide. As her gaze landed on the curtains on the side of the window, she smiled in satisfaction.
“No, I am not,” She replied, drawing the flimsy curtain over herself.
The door creaked open as she tried her best to regulate her pulse. But she couldn’t stop smiling from the excitement of it all. Suddenly, the destiny stone began to throb against her chest, slightly at first and then picking up pace. Elize gasped, clutching the stone pendant from above her sweater. Slowly, a dull blue light shone through the gaps of her fingers. Her eyes widened in surprise, seeing the stone work its magic. Her heartbeat skyrocketed as she realized the significance of it. It was him! He was the one destined for her! Tears welled in her eyes, threatening to fall at any moment. A muffled sob escaped her lips. Was this what they called tears of joy? She wondered.
“I found you.” A whisper came from right ahead.
Elize laughed as tears flowed down her cheeks. She could see his silhouette from the other side of the curtain. She was not ready to go out yet. She didn’t want him to see her like this. She inched back, sticking the back of her torso against the wall, covering her mouth with her one hand. She was beyond happy. Although Elize knew that it would shine for him, she was a bit nervous. She had tried suppressing her doubts under her belief in their bond. But now that the destiny stone had given the verdict, she was experiencing a mix of emotions.
“Baby? Are you crying?” Zack asked softly, reaching out to her.
“Mmmm.” She denied, shaking her head vigorously.
Her vision turned blurry, and more tears came flowing out of her eyes. Maybe if Zack hadn’t that question, she would have stopped crying. But now, she couldn’t help herself as her chest shook under her sobs. Suddenly, light poured in as his hands drew the flimsy cloth away from her face. Elize closed her eyes in shame. She rubbed at her tear-stained cheeks vigorously with her one free hand, clutching the stone with the other.
“Elize, look at me.” He said, leaning slightly towards her.
“I love you.” She said with a smile.
The reply instantly brightened his face. Zack laughed happily, leaning down to place a kiss on her forehead. Drawing her close to him, he held her tightly in his arms. Elize closed her eyes, feeling content. She drew a deep breath, inhaling his scent in. She loved his scent- he smelled like home. She was home in his arms. She snuggled in closer to his chest, rubbing the side of her face against his t-shirt. She smiled as she heard the sound of his heart beating against his ribs. His heartbeat matched hers, beating erratically against his chest, privy to her ears only.
“And I love you too, baby.” He said with a happy sigh.
His gentle hands caressed her hair as she wrapped her hands around his waist, rubbing her body against him like a happy kitten. The stone throbbed against her chest gently, with a warmth that she welcomed. Elize chuckled, looking at the dull blue light peeking out from her sweater.
Zack drew her away from him and walked over to the bed while holding her hand. Elize happily followed, blushing terribly. Zack sat down on the cot and drew her to him, placing her on his lap. He caught her chin between his thumb and index fingers and turned her face towards him. Elize looked up at her mate with eyes full of love.
“Why were you crying?” He asked, placing a kiss on her forehead. “Does it hurt?”
Elize shivered as the sensation of his wet lips against her skin brought back memories of their long session of sex in her room. Her throat grew dry while she gasped for air. His hand around her waist was suddenly too hot, making her skin burn with desire.
“No.” She said, shaking her head. “I’m just happy.” She said, biting her lower lip to keep it from shivering.
“Haha.” Zack laughed, patting the top of her head. “You’re a walking spectacle of moods since you shifted. Tell me, what makes my Luna happy?” He asked, with a breathtaking smile.
Her heart skipped a beat watching his handsome face light up. Elize couldn’t stop beaming as she quickly hugged him, drawing her hands around his neck. She sighed happily, resting her chin on his shoulder.
“Because we are destined, Zack.” She said gleefully.
Zack’s body shook as he laughed. “Haha. That’s a peculiar reason to be happy.” He said, shifting her body slightly towards him so that she was more comfortable. Gently moving her hair away from her neck, he blew against her skin, making her shiver. Leaning towards her ear, he whispered, “I knew that you were mine, the moment I had laid eyes on you.”
Elize giggled helplessly. She turned her head towards him and placed a soft kiss on his neck. “But now, the destiny stone has shined for you.” She said, raining more kisses on him.
“Hmm?” Zack asked in a voice that was getting thicker by the second, “What is that?”
Elize leaned away from him quickly. Zack moaned in protest, drawing her waist closer to his body. She shook her head with a laugh. Quickly taking the pendant out of her sweater, she raised it towards his face. “Look.” She said happily.
Zack’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. He slowly reached out and took the stone from her. “It’s shining blue.” He remarked, looking at it with skepticism.
Elize laughed, hearing his reply. “Haha, yes!” She said, grabbing either side of his face. Turning him to face her, she said with sparkling eyes, “It shines blue for you. It means that you and I are for each other.”
Zack let the stone go with a smirk. Winding his fingers through her hair, he whispered against her lips, “I don’t need a small stone to tell me that. Even if it were not so, I would always keep you by my side.” He paused as he leaned in to place a peck on her lips. “You are mine to keep, baby.” He said, looking at her with eyes full of love.
“And you are mine,” Elize said, leaning in to reciprocate the kiss.
Before she could draw back, Zack caught her lower lip in between his teeth. Elize licked his lips with her tongue, trying to tease him into letting her go. But he was having none of it. He clasped his lips on her lower lip, sucking at it passionately. Elize moaned as the heat of his passion fired hers tenfold. His one hand that had held her waist slipped inside her t-shirt, drawing patterns against her skin. As his hand roamed up the line of her backbone, she gasped, unable to control herself. Her hands quickly burrowed into his hair, clutching at its strands to keep him in place. Zack laughed, seeing her response, breaking away from the kiss. Elize moaned in protest, pulling his hair.
“Forever.” He whispered against her lips before leaning down to kiss her once again.
Elize didn’t have much time to enjoy the kiss before a knock sounded from the doorway. She quickly broke away from her mate, hiding her face in his chest. Her heart was beating too fast as she smiled in between taking labored breaths.
“Ehm, ehm!” Someone cleared their throat from the direction of the door.
She heard the click of the heels and the familiar scent of her friend. Elize wished that she could burrow a hole into her mate’s heart and hide inside it.
“Go away,” Zack said, waving at his packmate.
Nina stopped, coming to stand by the foot of the bed. Elize turned her head towards her friend shyly, leaning against Zack’s chest.
“I just wanted to check if she was fine.” She said, pointing towards Elize, “I guess she is perfect.” She said with a wink.
Elize beamed at the reply.
“Yes, she is,” Zack said, drawing his hands around her protectively.
