Pastry Chef Sheya - Volume 1 Chapter 28 Upside Down Coffee.
Sheya realized that she never really had the chance to see more of Israel. Since there were still no updates from the airport, she decided to make her own itinerary, making sure to stay off the booze and beers.
Right after googling some places, she hired a cab to take her to the old city of Jerusalem.
The cab driver suggested to visit the Western/ wailing wall followed by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre then the Dome of the Rock.
She placed a little prayer between the crack of the wall. She thanked God for the success of her cafeteria and for having good employees to work with.
She was told that there are 4 quarters dividing the city. She entered the Jaffa Gate and she saw a seemingly never ending twists and turns of the alleys and side streets.
She looked for a map so she could decide where to first.
The place was majestic, having had a history going back 3000 years ago. She felt like being in a movie where she was transported in the Ancient period.
She kept on walking but her stomach was having a revolution. With the map on her hand, she reached the Machane Yehuda market, an amazing outdoor market where one can buy the usual array of very cheap and fresh foods of all kinds as well as clothes and souvenir items.
From a bakery, she grabbed a freshly baked boureka with cheese filling and a good old pita bread followed by cafe hafuch or upside down coffee which was a latte- like drink with steamed milk on the bottom and espresso.
Her phone rang while she was eating..
Carl was calling her..
