Pastry Chef Sheya - Volume 1 Chapter 29 Yacht Party
She decided not to answer his calls and continued on touring the old city of Jerusalem and one by one, she set her foot on Mt Olives, the Tower of David, the Israel Museum and the Biblical zoo.
It was an awesome experience! She ate her lunch late at the popular Noh’s arc cafe where she had Aubergine with baba ganoush, lechem bread and meatballs with sweet potatoes.
Aubergine is an eggplant and is a core dish of Israeli cuisine. It is found in breakfast, lunch and dinner too.
Baba ganoush is simply aubergine mixed with tahini which comes from nigella seeds, lemon juice, garlic and whatever flavours one would wish and served with bread.
For dessert, she had halva, a loaf made of sweetened sesame paste that melted in her mouth and Ruggalah, a single bite cookie cake combinations with layeres of chocolate rolled throughout the middle.
She noticed a text message on her phone. It was from Carl..
” I hope you are not avoiding me. I called the airlines, all flights will be resumed 2 days from now. Jon borrowed a yacht from one of his rich clients, he is inviting us later this night to party with him and his group. I will meet you at the lobby before sunset. ”
Nine missed calls and a text message..
” No one has pursued me for a long period of time.” She whispered to herself.
She had mixed emotions.. she felt relieved about her upcoming flight but at the same time, she felt a bit sad. She was sad because she only had two days to be with Carl and scared at the same time since she knew that she might never see nor hear from him again after they part ways.
Will she join him at the yacht party? Let’s wait and see..
