Pastry Chef Sheya - Volume 1 Chapter 39 Mummy Dearest.
Sheya spent the evening in the hospital and Karen was there the whole time. She asked her to go home but she refused.
” I will never leave you here all by yourself. I already asked my sister to let my daughter stay with her while I’m gone”. Karen insisted.
Few hours later, the doctor came back. Karen went outside to get some coffee.
“The nurse told me that you are ready to discuss your situation so I have to ask you.. Are you going to keep the baby?” The doctor asked.
Sheya was a product of a broken home. Her father left them when she was very young and she remembered very little about her mother because she left them with their relatives when she got married again.
She have one older brother who died of tuberculosis, a sister who married at a very young age and settled in another country.
She and her siblings never experienced a happy and complete family. They never celebrated Christmas, holidays or any special family events because they moved from one relatives to another.
Their mother sent money for their education but she never wrote nor visited them.. not again until the funeral of her brother but she stayed only for a short time then she left again for good without saying goodbye to her two surviving daughters.
” I will keep the baby.” Sheya answered..
