Pastry Chef Sheya - Volume 1 Chapter 42 Candles.
The next morning, Sheya felt a sharp pain on her stomach. She went to the toilet to relieve herself and she found small drops of blood on her underwear.
Sophie immediately called a cab and accompanied her at the hospital where several procedures where done.
Doctor: Hello, Im the resident OB- gyne for today since your personal doctor is currently out of town. After some tests, we found out that you have a low placenta. The placenta is where your baby is laying at the moment. If you want reduce the risks of miscarriage, you must be on bedrest for the next 6-7 months of your pregnancy.
Sheya: 6 to 7 months? It’s not possible. I’ll go mad.
Doctor: I had the same condition like you and guess what? I’m now a mother of 3 healthy girls. I stopped working each time I was pregnant. It wasn’t easy but it was worth it.
Sheya: So you just laid on bed and stopped working?
Doctor: I stopped working at the hospital but I still practiced at home where I set up my clinic but I made sure to avoid unnecessary stress and I closed my clinic early when I was no longer feeling good. Like I told you, it wasn’t easy but if you really want to have a healthy baby then you must follow me. No moving a lot, no stress, no lifting, no long trips and if possible, no dramas.
On the way back to her apartment, she asked the cab driver to stop at a nearby church where she lit some candles and said a little prayer..
” I don’t know if I can do this but please give me strength to endure everything.” She said with her eyes closed.
