Pastry Chef Sheya - Volume 1 Chapter 64 Stranger Danger

It was getting late but there were still no signs of Sophie. Sheya was beginning to worry.

She asked a crew for help to track down a young woman wandering alone in a giant ship and she was feeling guilty because she allowed her to be on her own in a place full of strangers.

” I was supposed to be her guardian and I’m also a mom to a baby girl.. How could I be so careless?” She asked herself while she was waiting for updated from the surveillance team.

After half an hour, she was asked to go inside a secured room and they showed her some videos.

” Yes, that’s Sophie!” Sheya said.

The video was captured several hours ago and she was with a company of an older man.

An officer asked Sheya if the man looked familiar but it was the first time she saw that person and she became increasingly anxious with the knowledge that the young lady was with a random man.

She called Toby and she broke down in tears. He tried to calm his wife and reminded her that it was nobody’s fault.

” People make mistakes. Maybe it was wrong that you let her roam the ship all by herself but you just wanted her to enjoy her time here. Your intentions were good.” He explained.

They waited for about an hour until they were informed that the older man in the video was already identified. They went to his room but found no one.

And when they were about to radio another officer, they received a message that Sophie and the older man were spotted at the ship’s infinity pool.

Sheya was horrified when she saw Sophie wearing a two piece swimwear while being photographed by the older man.

Toby grabbed the camera while his wife grabbed the towel and covered Sophie’s body.

The officers took the man in custody for questioning and investigation because he was caught with a minor.

” What were you thinking? ” Sheya asked. ” Who told you that it was okay to remove your clothes and let a stanger take your pictures? He could be a child molester or a killer!” She added.

” He seemed really nice. He bought me these nice shoes and he told me that I could be a model that’s why he wanted to take my pictures so he could send it to some modelling agencies in his hometown.” Sophie explained.

” With your clothes off? Half n.a.k.e.d? All by yourself? Don’t be so naive.. He is a pervert! A decent talent scout would ask your parents or guardian first..” Sheya screamed.

Sophie felt humiliated. Toby asked Sheya to calm down because the most important thing that happened was they found her safe and sound.

Sheya stepped back and took the baby with her to catch some fresh air.

” She was just concerned.. Please don’t take it the wrong way.” Toby explained as he tried to comfort the visibly upset Sophie.

” The world is not a safe place. How I wish I could lie to you and tell you that everyone is nice.. There are lots of bad people everywhere so please don’t trust anyone too easily.” He further explained.

An officer interrupted their conversation and asked Sophie to go into their office for some questions. Toby demanded that he must be there too because she was only 16 years old.

” The man told us that you kept on following him and it was you who insisted for him to take your pictures.” An officer said.

Sophie was shocked.. ” He’s lying.. I never followed him.. It was the other way around. He said that he needed to take my pictures wearing a bikini so he could help me to be a model.” She cried.
