Path Of The Lilies - Chapter 380 Basic Enhancement Class
“This is frustrating,” Ye Jiao slumped on her desk when the class was over. She could not see anything other than the one Elder Qian intended for them to see.
Qi Huan smiled bitterly. “I guess it just meant that you’ll need to work harder.”
“I can say the same to you.”
“Let’s go before Senior Brother Qin comes here. I’m sure you want to spar with him again, right?”
“Yeah.”
Ye Jiao was not in the mood to stay in the class anymore. She was unable to sense anything wrong from the way Elder Qian performed it. The more she thought about it, the more annoyed she would be. With nothing else to do, Ye Jiao headed for the arena to have another match with Qin Zheng.
Afterwards, she went to the hall and practiced minute control once more. Chen Suyin was especially harsh that day because she extended the time they had to stay there by another 10 minutes.
Of course, the canteen was also full because a lot of students ended up staying there to eat again and again after the class was over.
…
The next day, the students have a basic enhancement class. Ye Jiao managed to finish even earlier with the ‘help’ that Qin Zheng gave to her. She was still two hours or so late, but it was faster than yesterday.
“You’re going to complete the morning training in time soon if this continues,” Qi Huan commented.
Ye Jiao shrugged. “You should say that to Senior Brother Qin. He had to add another weight today because he finished too fast from the vice leader’s perspective.”
“You don’t need to compare with that monster. I’ll be more surprised if you manage to finish earlier than him.”
“Right~.
They stayed silent as they used the time to practice before class started. Lu Wan came looking like a living zombie when the class was about to start. It looked like the brat was ready to collapse at any time.
“Are you sure you will be able to survive the training if this continues, Lu Wan?” Ye Jiao smiled bitterly.
“Ask that Senior Brother Qin to stay away from me or I’ll surely die under Senior Sister Lin’s hand.”
“I’ll relay that to him.”
Honestly, both Ye Jiao and Qi Huan knew that it would not happen. Qin Zheng really loved to create trouble, especially towards his juniors. No matter what they say, they wouldn’t be able to stop him from creating trouble.
Before long, the class started.
Now, we’ll learn the enhancement path for Eon Energy Master. There are three types of enhancement. First is an enhancement to your own body, which allows the body to become much stronger physically. People with this path usually just strengthen their own body to the very limit, allowing them to have much greater strength compared to people around their rank.
Second is the enhancement to mind, which will allow you to think faster. This type of enhancement is usually for those who dislike combat and prefer to be the type to think on the back, and this type will never be able to fall into any illusion made by illusive Eon Energy Master.
The third is the enhancement to the objects. You can imbue effect on the objects which can grant them stronger endurance, additional effect, and so on. This type usually falls into the Forging Master of Rune Masters, which you’ll learn tomorrow because they’re all the best side occupation.
Now, I’ll teach you the basics for the training.”
Listening to the teacher, Ye Jiao came to understand that the path as Eon Energy Master was truly divided into several different things. Every single one of them would give them a different kind of future.
“If their interest and talent didn’t align, it’s not going to be easy for them,” Lu Wan murmured as he propped his head with his arm. He still felt tired, but he listened to bits and parts from the teacher because it would be important.
“Usually, your path will align with your talent,” Qi Huan replied. “But there are also cases when it’s not true.”
Ye Jiao looked at Qi Huan. If she was not wrong, water would usually represent calm and steady demeanor. However, Qi Huan was someone who pursued the path of killing. She had seen for herself how much this man actually enjoyed it, so she knew that it was not totally suitable for this man.
Lu Wan yawned. “And I don’t understand the intermediate element at all. What’s the use of having a light element?”
In his opinion, the fire element was clearly far better compared with light. He couldn’t even understand how that element became the advanced one. After all, it would be hard to attack their opponent with light alone.
“I don’t understand too,” Ye Jiao chuckled. “But I guess we’ll study them when we reach the advanced class later.”
“That’s not going to happen anytime soon.”
The teacher continued to explain more about enhancement and gave them a basic example. Physical enhancement acted more like training one’s body to the limit. There was nothing special aside from the fact that they diverted all their Eon Energy to their bones and muscle to strengthen them.
It would grant them higher power, but at the same time, it would slow down their advance to reach the next stage.
“If I’m not wrong, the book that Senior Brother Qin shows to you said to divert your Eon Energy to your entire body, right?” Qi Huan’s expression was slightly strange as he turned to Ye Jiao’s direction.
“Yes.”
“Is his path an enhancement?”
“I don’t know,” Ye Jiao smiled bitterly. But if she thought about it, Qin Zheng was indeed suitable to become Body Enhancement Eon Energy Master with that kind of strength he wielded.
“Alright, class is dismissed. I want you all to do your own research regarding Body Enhancement Eon Energy Master because it’ll be your homework for next week.”
After the teacher left, the students slumped on their chair. There were only fifteen new students, but they all felt tired whenever they recalled the amount of homework they got. They needed to train their control, practice their resistance to illusion, and now, they have to study.
It was so tiring!
“Your class always ends the last,” Qin Zheng commented as he walked inside, his hand holding a book. Somehow, he looked like a nerd lately with the number of books he read.
“The teachers are teaching us the basics of everything, and the class always starts four hours late,” Ye Jiao shrugged.
Behind Qin Zheng, Lin Cai’s expression was dark. “Lu Wan, if you don’t start to come early, I won’t be able to attend my class!”
“It’s not my fault that I’m always exhausted every time I finish the training!”
“Just do your herb bath or whatever! I don’t want to keep standing in my class!”
Ye Jiao blinked and turned her head to Qin Zheng. “Do you need to wait until I finish my training before you can go to your classes?”
“Yes. It’s the rule that pairing needs to wait for the new students,” Qin Zheng shrugged. “Don’t worry, my classes start three hours late for this week, so I’m not late at all.”
“…” no wonder you didn’t pick Lu Wan.
If it was Lu Wan, there was no doubt that Qin Zheng would be late for all of his classes. Ye Jiao still managed to finish with two hours late, so it was more than enough.
“Are we going to spar again today?”
“No, I’m going to take you to my workplace today,” Qin Zheng replied.
“Workplace?”
“Yes. Haven’t I told you that I’m a Forging Master?”
