Path Of The Lilies - Chapter 388 Antique Store
“There are some herbs that I just learned yesterday,” Lu Wan commented as he stopped in front of one of them. “Oh, this one will be a good choice!”
“What’s that?” Ye Jiao asked.
Qin Zheng pondered for a moment. “Rot Grass. It’s usually used as the basic poison’s composition with fire attribute because of the scorching effect it has.”
“I see.”
It took Lu Wan some time before he finished browsing the stalls. There were also some rocks there, but Qin Zheng didn’t pay them any interest. Some of them might look rare, but they were actually pretty common. What he wanted were the rare ones.
They stopped when they reached a weapon store.
“I’m going to sell a sword,” Qin Zheng pointed to the store. “Do you want to come in too?”
“Sure!”
“Ok.”
The four of them entered the store. The owner quickly stood up when he saw Qin Zheng. “Senior Qin, are you going to sell new parts?”
“It’s a weapon this time,” Qin Zheng replied with a smile. He swiped his hand, and a large grey sword appeared on his hand. It was pretty long, yet at the same time, there was an imposing aura emanating from it.
The owner was astonished. “S-senior Qin, did you reach a yellow rank?”
“Uh huh,” Qin Zheng didn’t hide it. “But I haven’t been evaluated again, so I’m still in orange rank.”
“Amazing! You’re truly the youngest and most talented Forging Master in the world!” the owner praised. His eyes were ogling at the sword on Qin Zheng’s hand. “May I.… May I take a look?”
“Yes.”
The owner held the sword tenderly. It was perfect in balance that one wouldn’t believe that the one who made it was only 12 years old. “Senior Qin, may I ask if this is the first weapon that you make?”
“Of course not,” Qin Zheng laughed. “Have you ever heard a Forging Master selling their first ever weapon that they make?”
“No.”
“What’s your evaluation, Owner Wan?” Qin Zheng changed the conversation.
“This is definitely a good sword. I can’t deny that. However, it’s made from normal iron and has limited capabilities, so I can only offer you 2000 low grade Eon Energy Stones,” the owner replied after pondering.
In this area, Forging Master was rather common because of the rich minerals and metals available. Many of them couldn’t sell a weapon at a high price because of the fierce competition. If they sold it outside, it might fetch twice to five times the price they could get in this place. However, many of them still chose to sell it here because it was not known when they could get out.
“Here you go.”
Ye Jiao turned her head to Qi Huan. “What’s the normal trade rate in this place?”
“Well, with one low grade Eon Energy Stone, you can buy a loaf of bread,” Qi Huan joked. He quickly continued his words when he saw the dark line on Ye Jiao’s face. “I’m just kidding. Even though you can buy a meal for a few low grade Eon Energy Stones, it’s normally used to buy martial artist weapons and so on.
Normal swords in this area can be bought at the price of 500 to 1000 low grade Eon Energy stones, but if you want a higher rank, they can reach 100 middle grade low grade Eon Energy Stones. Also, the exchange rate is 1000 low grade Eon Energy Stones for 1 middle grade Eon Energy Stones.”
“That means the sword is quite good.”
“Yes.”
“Do you also have weapons to sell?”
Ye Jiao nodded. She might want to buy something later, so it would be better for her to sell things that she didn’t need. She took out a sword from that Eon Energy Master Rank 4 she battled in the Chen Kingdom. It might be able to fetch some price.
The owner’s eyes lit up. “It’s not really a good sword, but it’s not too bad. Are you also a Forging Master, Miss?”
“No, I just happen to get them,” Ye Jiao denied. “How much can I get for it?”
“It’s made by a talented Forging Master, so it can fetch the price of 3000 low grade Eon Energy Stones,” the owner replied after some time. He looked at Ye Jiao. “Are you sure you want to sell such a good sword?”
“I’m not a swordswoman” Ye Jiao smiled. “I have a few more. Do you mind taking a look?”
“Not at all.”
In the end, Ye Jiao sold a few weapons that were sitting inside her storage bracelet for 15000 low grade Eon Energy Stones. It was quite a huge amount for her as she had never expected that the weapons that she plundered could fetch a lot of amounts.
“You can get a higher price if you sell it outside,” Qin Zheng told her when they came out.
Ye Jiao grinned. “I know, but I don’t want to keep them for a long time in my storage bracelet. I’m not sure whether they’ll be able to track me or not.”
“Hmm, you’re right.”
If it was found in the store, it must have been sold. Since this place was known for its Forging Master, it was certain that they wouldn’t know how many times a weapon would change its owner. In a way, she had erased the track they could possibly have.
Qi Huan smiled. “You’re cunning at times.”
“Hehehe.”
“Now, where do you want to go?” Lu Wan yawned. He was not interested in any of them.
Qin Zheng pointed to the other areas. “I want to go to the stone gambling area, but it’s outside the market. Is there any place that you want to visit first, Jiao’er and Qi Huan?”
“None for me,” Qi Huan shook his head.
Ye Jiao was about to decline when her eyes landed on the nearby store’s plate. It was written. “Hua Antique Store”
“Is that the store that sells flower’s antique?” (note: Hua means flower)
Qin Zheng shook his head. “No, but it’s a store that belongs to the Hua Shan Academy. That’s why the name is written as Hua.”
“Let’s take a look?”
“Sure.”
The four of them entered the antique store. There were a lot of weird items that they have never seen before. Ye Jiao’s eyes were stunned as she couldn’t give a name to them all.
“Welcome,” a shopkeeper greeted them. He was wearing the Inner Disciple clothes, but Ye Jiao didn’t recognize him. There were too many Inner Disciple students in the Hua Shan Academy for her to remember them all.
“Hello.”
“Are you searching for something?”
“We’re just here to take a look,” Qi Huan responded politely while Lu Wan and Ye Jiao looked around curiously.
“Wow, this is a bronze mirror?” Lu Wan was stunned to see the yellow mirror in front of him. It made him look strange.
“It’s a concave mirror,” Ye Jiao giggled. She didn’t try to look and moved to the other side of the place. Even though it was faint, she could sense Eon Energy movements in this place. Some of the items must be precious because they contained Eon Energy inside.
Her eyes landed on a dark red blood colored headpiece on the side. It was diamond shaped and looked beautiful.
“Shopkeeper, how much is this headpiece?” Ye Jiao asked curiously.
The shopkeeper smiled. “It’s 10000 low grade Eon Energy Stones.”
“10000? That’s daylight robbery!” Lu Wan exclaimed. This place truly taught him new things about the price. Everything here seemed to be very expensive for him.
“Antiques are normally expensive,” Qi Huan laughed dryly. Even in his kingdom back then, each antique was expensive because of the history behind them.
“I’ll take it.”
“Jiao’er?”
