- Chapter 394 Reaching Eon Energy Master Rank 3 Middle Stage
“Oh, Ye Jiao!” Lin Cai waved her hand. “Are you going back to your residence?”
“Yes. How about you, Senior Sister Lin?”
“I’m going to stay inside too, our Master is going to find me and add more training.” Lin Cai grumbled. She already had enough with her master asking her to train her body again. She wanted to relax a bit.
Ye Jiao chuckled. “Have fun, Senior Sister Lin. Some new students might want to challenge you on their examination day.”
“If they dare to challenge me, I’ll welcome them with open arms.” Lin Cai smirked. “I shall not hold any responsibility if they regret it afterwards.”
Oh well, she had fought against Lin Cai before, and Ye Jiao knew very well that this girl would not hold back in the slightest. The speed that Lin Cai showed would be more than enough to make her opponent despaired as they would be unable to do anything. Only those who have a talent and a better position would be able to withstand against her.
“I shall get going now, Senior Sister Lin.”
“Alright. You ought to rest too. See you later, Ye Jiao.”
Ye Jiao returned back to her residence. The flowers were still blooming beautifully despite the fact that it was already winter season. A smile filled her face, for she always felt comfortable in her residence.
Returning back to her room and sat down. There was an array here that would gather Eon Energy to the center. It was not much, but it was enough to fill the room with Eon Energy.
Ye Jiao took out the Eon Energy Gathering Plate that Elder Qian gave to her. By infusing Eon Energy, she activated it. More Eon Energy flowed into the room, filling it with rich Eon Energy almost immediately.
‘It’s comfortable. Now, it’s time to get down to business.’
Sitting cross-legged on her bed, Ye Jiao focused her attention to her core and the Eon Energy that surrounded her. She was still unable to see their ‘color’ again, but the one that she pulled in gave her comfortable sense. Pouring them into her core, she slowly guided them in rotation.
Sweat filled her forehead.
Once entering the rank 3, breaking through the stages was not as simple as when they broke through from rank 1 to rank 3. They would have to pay more attention to their Eon Energy in their body and control it to reach the next stage.
Bit by bit.
Pieces by pieces.
Bang!
Waves of Eon Energy came out of her body. Her eyelashes fluttered open, showing the brilliant light within her pupil. It disappeared after a few seconds without Ye Jiao realizing it at all.
“Hmm? There’s a movement?” Ye Jiao inspected her body as her consciousness reached the strange space within her body. The egg was still there, but Ye Jiao could feel that there was a slight movement.
Was it the time for the egg to hatch?
“It didn’t seem like it.” Ye Jiao opened her eyes and stood up. Stretching her body for a bit, she started to move around the room and exercised. Astonishment flashed within her eyes when she realized the increase in power she wielded.
She never thought that increasing a stage alone would be enough to grant her enormous leapt in strength. It would take her some time before she could get used to this newfound strength she had.
After a while, Ye Jiao decided to take a walk around the academy. She didn’t know how many hours have passed since she made her breakthrough, so the only way to find out was by asking her seniors or junior disciples. Her legs quickly brought her to the arena’s direction.
“Oh, Ye Jiao?” Qi Huan greeted when he saw Ye Jiao walking to him. His hand was holding a book while leaning against the wall.
“Good morning, Senior Brother Qi,” Ye Jiao greeted politely. She smiled. “Don’t you need to prepare yourself for the examination?”
“There’s no need for that,” Qi Huan said leisurely. “I don’t really need special preparation for the examination.”
Elite Disciple could only pick another Elite Disciple for their first examination. Among the four of them, it was clear that Qi Huan had the advantage in the stage because he was basically higher than Lin Cai and Qin Zheng. No matter which one he picked, he had the advantage to win.
“I see.”
“What are you doing here? I thought you don’t need to collect points anymore?” Qi Huan asked.
“I’m wondering how much time has passed,” Ye Jiao scratched her head in embarrassment. “I kind of forget.”
“There’s still another day of break before the examination. Today is the last day for arena battle, so that brat is over there.” Qi Huan pointed to the arena before him.
Turning her head to the arena, Ye Jiao noticed the green haired youth in the middle. Chain and blade moved at high speed, reaching his opponent in a mere second.
Slash!
The other man was sent outside the arena.
“Next,” Lu Wan said solemnly.
Ye Jiao was stunned to see the serious Lu Wan. She turned her head to Qi Huan. “Do you mind explaining what happens here?”
“In short, Senior Sister Lin beats him up and demands that he enters the top 5 at the very least. He has 2130 points and now in the fifth position, but the sixth person is also the same with him. The two of them are competing for points earnestly,” Qi Huan replied as he pointed to the other arena.
“It seems that my position is going to be threatened soon.” Ye Jiao chuckled.
Qi Huan: “…” there are still more than 1000 points between you and the third position.
“I’m going to borrow one arena. Do you want to fight too, Senior Brother Qi?” Ye Jiao turned her head and asked.
“I better not. All my moves are designed for killing, and I’m afraid that against a much lower opponent, I won’t be able to hold back at all,” Qi Huan turned down her offer immediately. He might have learnt how to spar, but because he had not been living as the prince of Chi Kingdom, he has gotten used to killing moves. It would be better for him to not have a spar in case he accidentally injured someone.
“True, controlling one’s power is not that easy.”
Qi Huan turned to look at Ye Jiao. His eyes widened when he realized the power around her body. “Ye Jiao, you’re already at the middle stage?”
“Ah, yes. I broke through not long ago,” Ye Jiao replied with a smile.
“You’re really quick.”
“Say someone who jumped through the ranks,” Ye Jiao giggled. She walked to the arena. “Wish me luck, Senior Brother Qi.”
“Do you really need luck?” Qi Huan shook his head. He could faintly see the rows of students getting kicked out of the arena in a short time after Ye Jiao entered the arena. In any case, he was not worried that she would be able to overtake him because the difference was still 2000 points or more.
