Pay To Win System - Chapter 21
Sitting still on the ground before the crib in his corner of the nursery Caelum examined his options.
Caelum found a few items of interest that were located in the system shop after he finished looking around the system shop.
The first item was a mask, this mask would allow him to conceal his face completely, it was dark gray and it had a breathing apparatus that would allow for his breathing to be silent.
Second was a cloak, this cloak was dark gray, and it was made of an extremely light yet durable fabric that would allow for extra protection and to help him camouflage himself with his surroundings.
Third was shoes, these boots were like the cloak in the aspect that they were geared towards keeping things silent.
Finally, the most expensive thing was a circlet of promises – he customized it to be colored the same as an emerald a eye-catching green color. Once they were put on the wearer had to obey one rule that was set to the circlet. Second to this which was constant in all circlets of promises it can not be removed until the wearer of the circlet is given permission to take it off.
He already decided what it would be – the wearer will not ever harm physically or indirectly the person he put the circlet onto them – which would be him.
This shopping spree of his used the three gold coin shop coupons, but hell, was it worth it!
With these things prepared Caelum was ready to go set his plan to get a lackey into action.
He had to wait a few hours before he was allowed to leave. When all was quiet he set out, his anger would not be quenched if he kept them locked inside, he would do something that he would regret if he did and he would not die early because he did.
He would not risk it and step through the hall, no he would go through the windows. His body had the strength to handle it after all.
He very quietly opened one of the nurseries windows making sure it did not give away what he was doing and went over the window frame, gripping it with no intent to let go. He jumped down, a brief second of falling later he touched the ground.
It surprisingly did not hurt. Looking up from whence he fell he saw that it was a luxurious building, a mansion with five floors. Most likely it had a basement too as most everyone had homes with a basement.
It was a sprawling mansion, it had an expansive yard with a stone path leading up to the mansion. It was where he was living for the past three years alright. Present was a well, well-trimmed hedges that surrounded the luxurious mansion and the rest of the property.
This made him realize that the orphanage was not run down, oh no. There was something bigger here going on a larger picture that was taking place at this “Orphanage.”
he could not put his finger on it, but more than likely they were looking for talents. To sell to the highest bidder? This was a fantasy world anything was possible – the idea that people owned slaves was disgusting. Once he had the power he could overturn such rules and let the people go free as they should be.
Caelum did not like the idea to be raised like livestock, a farm for talent. If that really was what this place was he did not mind burning the place to the ground after the tournament. He would let the orphans escape, maybe Miss Vaile and let the rest die where they stand. If Matt wanted to make sure that all the orphans escaped – he might get caught up in it.
Would he save Matt, when the situation came to face him he would resolve the issue when the time came.
Getting a move on and changing his line of thought he set into the town. In the dark everything was more intimidating. He was unsure if there was precedence for a curfew, but one had to see him for him to be thrown back into the orphanage.
Caelum carefully looked around, if anyone popped up at of nowhere with his nerves of his he would jab them in the fucking throat. He was that anxious about this plan of his of falling apart.
Caelum would not allow it to, so he pushed on and once he found the alleyways he looked for trouble. One alley by alley, eventually not with his own eyes his ears picked up on a loud bang.
He quickly ran there and saw a person about beat the daylights out of someone else, one man who was older than the other was kicking another persons face in kick after kick. The younger man was laying on the ground near the trash can. The loud bang had to be from the trash can that was on its side.
“Hello, I am here to help.” Caelum said, easily able to understand what kind of situation this was.
The person turned around, their identity was far from hidden. It was easy to see, it was a middle-aged man with rough features. His voice matched his rough features, the man was clearly not in a good mood.
“Go away I have business with this here rodent.” When the middle-aged man said rodent, the other man who was getting beat up was clearly distressed.
“No, why don’t you leave that rodent alone and come with me – I have something you may understand.”
“What,” The man who was middle-aged started to walk towards Caelum. Caelum felt like he could really use the appraisal ability right about then.
“Just follow.” Caelum beckoned.
Right, when they were face to face Caelum brought up his fist. The man made a strange face as he tried to understand what the kid who he could not discern any notable feature from beside his height.
“Enough of this…” The old man was extremely quickly becoming tired of this charade that the kid in front of him was pulling and decided to get to the end of it as soon as he could.
“I thought that you could understand… This!” Caelums fist rushed towards the man’s face and he heard a cracking noise as teeth flew out of the man’s mouth. The man’s body flew, slamming into one of the walls that kept the alley space small a few parts of the wall began to crumble taking the shape of the man’s body.
The middle-aged fellow simply grunted his minds steadiness knocked out of place. “You’re a cultivator.” Blood dribbled from his mouth as he waited for an answer.
“Not yet,” Caelum replied, keeping his words short. The now in awe man opened his mouth in unreconcilable fright and in lots of pain.
Caelum smiled when he considered the man’s words, now understanding the might that came with being able to dish out 650 pounds of force. If he cultivated what level of might would he wield?
An ordinary fellow was destroyed underfoot with one punch and he used no martial techniques, body-enhancing spells or anything. It was invigorating!
His physical strength was fucking tyrannical, Matt you’re going to regret not accepting the apology!
