Perverted Romance - Chapter 285 Chapter 285
After an hour, Mei Chen reached the rehabilitation center where her father was staying.
She instantly spotted him sitting quietly at a gazeebo at the garden.
Mei Chen immediately got teary eyed when she saw her dad. She realized just how much she missed him.
She’s glad that they had found out about the RC rehabilitation center which offers free accommodation and counselling for people who were battling and struggling with depression and addiction.
She ran towards her dad and gave him a big warm hug which startled his father.
“Aiya! What are you doing here?”
“I’ve been calling you but you’re phone is off.”
“Oh, I’m sorry about that. You see, we have an activity here going for about 5 days now. We’re not allowed to check on our phones so we can reconnect with other things. Don’t be mad okay?”
Mei Chen’s father coaxed her like a little girl. While Mei Chen inwardly heaved a sigh of relief. It’s a good thing that her dad hadn’t been online, it means he haven’t seen her viral video.
” Dad, I want to talk to you about something…. ”
Mei Chen sternly said while holding her father’s hands. She doesn’t want to surprise her dad so much that’s why she’s trying to test the waters first.
Her father could sense that little Mei was somewhat nervous so he tried to lighten up the mood.
” Aiya, sweetie what is it… No need to be so uptight. You can tell me anything…”
Mei Chen looked at him straight in the eye. The image of her mom leaving both of them behind flashed through her mind.
“I’m….. Dad I… I decided to pursue a career in singing… Please don’t be mad at me…”
Mei Chen hesitantly said, but considering her viral video it was only a matter of time before her dad find out. She figured that it’s best that her dad heard it from her first.
Her father was stunned, tears slowly ran down his face, Mei Chen panicked at the sight of her crying father.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
She repeatedly pleaded. Her dad just shook his head, then he flashed a warm smile on her daughter.
“Don’t be… I’m not crying because I’m sad or mad. I’m crying because I thought I would never hear you sing again…”
Her father explained. Mei Chen looked at him bewildered, she really thought her father would be mad at her or throw tantrums.
