Phoenix in the Moonlight - Chapter 19: Abate his Suspicions *
“No need, I will simply reheat the food for you,” she moaned as he spread her wetness around, kissing her neck simultaneously.
He sighed as he slipped into her warmth. “Fuck,” he cursed as he gripped onto her hips and set a fast pace. “Continue to cook for me, okay?” She nodded as he pushed into her from behind. “And you will keep teaching me how to cook, no?” He smiled.
She didn’t reply, but that was okay. Instead, she moaned every time his hips slapped against her bottom. She met every thrust enthusiasm, making it all rougher.
She tried her hardest to bite her lips and stop the words from slipping out of her mouth. She failed. She started rambling, about how he felt in her and that she would take everything he would give her. Turned out that this little bird liked to talk dirty. Indeed, women who were not from nobility were different. He loved it. He found himself intrigued.
If she was aroused by such words, he wouldn’t hold back, either.
He groaned as he asked the beautiful girl if she liked his member, if she liked it when he was rough with her like he knew she did. She tightened around him and cried out his name. He blinked.
“Yifeng,” she breathed with a litter of ‘yes,’ ‘more,’ and ‘please.’ What a crazy woman. His name on her tongue scratched at his heart. It seemed like he had almost everything that he wished for. Maybe life as a Qinwang wouldn’t be so bad anymore.
He looked down to see where his member disappeared into her and decided that he would see this relationship until the end.
Without warning, the pleasure built up inside of him. He exploded inside her. At the same moment, he heard Xin choke on her breath and climax. Groaning heavily, he kept his softening member still inside her, thrusting it gently in and out, making sure that she was in no discomfort. The pace was languid, dropping his forehead to her shoulder.
“Thank you,” he said as he kissed her naked shoulder. She shivered. They stop moving and they just lay in each others embrace doing nothing, completely spent. Time passed quickly as they tried to catch their breath.
She quickly put on her clothes before moving to him and helping him dress. He looked at her with a weird expression.
“How do you know how to dress a man?” he asked.
“I come from a poor family. We did not have servants and I often helped my brother dress.” That should abate his suspicions.
“You have had no man before me?”
“As dishonest as it may sound, I gave my virtue to you.” The certainty in her eyes convinced him. He didn’t ask further. Instead, he told her that it was the same for him. She didn’t reply.
Did he think lying to her would make her like him more? Didn’t they already pledge to have none of that?
He can see that she doesn’t believe him as Xin shakes her head, amused. It was a lot better than her anger.
She walked around the desk and took her seat opposite to him. The bag which had been placed on the table suddenly gained their attention. Now that he had gotten what he first wanted, he could finally feel his hunger.
She really did bring lunch with her.
“Young Master should clean himself up. I will accompany you to eat.” He accepts and calls for the servants. They wash his hands and he digs into the food. Every dish is as delicate and flavourful as the last.
“Where did you learn how to cook?” This was the taste of food cooked for nobility and not like the commoners usually consumed. She chuckles as she pours more food into his bowl.
“I met a servant from a noble family once. She had retired and lived in our community. I learned how to cook from her.” That sounded convincing enough.
He nodded his head and continued to eat.

A carriage was sent to the humble house of Xin and his niece and nephew. A group of servants help them put all their belongings inside while they are made to sit in the beautifully adorned carriage.
“Miss, this Young Master is good to us,” Mian Mian says as they make their way to their new house. “He has arranged such a luxurious ride for us.”
“Our Miss is from a good family, not losing to the status of the young master, you don’t need to be so awed by the treatment.” Bai’er looked out of the window, keeping an eye on the servants, ever the vigilant one.
Word has it that the Qinwang had come to Lijing. Though his name was unknown to many, she could guess that this Young Master was the prince. Good thing she had not shown her face. One never knows when they crossroads in this tiny world.
She was not equal in status. Even the crown prince couldn’t compare to the power and status of the current Qinwang who was favored by the previous emperor.
“Bai’er is correct. He may be from an affluent family, but we should remain alert. He is not a simple man and it will only take one mistake for him to realize who we are. There is no space to slip,” she warned.
“I understand, Miss,” little Mian Mian pouted.
“When you reach the house, act your age. Don’t linger too close to him and speak as little as possible to him.” This was directed at Mian Mian. She didn’t worry about Bai’er, who rarely spoke to others.
