Please Be A Traitor - Chapter 57.2
The tea party in the greenhouse was more luxurious than ever.
Except for when it rained, we always had tea time in the garden, and the girls who were invited each time seemed to enjoy the change of scenery.
They were having fun showing off the feeling of “we belong to the ducal princess.”
I was initially hesitant to hang out with Shabelle alone and even invited others to the tea party.
However, once I introduced Thalia to Shabelle as Shabelle’s ancient language teacher, I gathered my followers and sat separately from them, letting go of my tension and focusing on playtime.
Everyone was huddled next to me, blue ribbons on their heads, and I felt as if I were being hugged by a bunch of flowers.
Shabelle, on the other hand, was eating.
I brought her to the Krenberian mansion early in the morning as if I were kidnapping her, transforming and decorating her from head to toe, but she has no interest in what she wore.
No matter how much I think about it, the genre of the novel in which Shabelle appears should have been a novel about gourmet, not romance.
I didn’t sit apart from Shabelle for any other reason.
I was just trying to save myself in case I got entangled strangely with Shabelle due to the forced action of the original story.
As a result, my followers and the twenty-six people invited by Shabelle were sitting and playing separately.
But that was fine because I had already introduced Thalia on that side, and Thalia coordinated in moderation as well.
I thought it would be difficult for Thalia to blend in because the girls present were mostly young ladies who hadn’t yet debuted, but because Thalia displayed a calm and gentle image of a guardian, the atmosphere was rather balanced.
Thalia was very good at serving tea parties, considering she only worked as a clerk for a young lady in the baron family and as a maid for a long time.
If Thalia was feeling uncomfortable, I was going to tell her to come inside after greeting Shabelle. But there was a reversal as if the host and guest of the tea party had swapped roles.
Thalia, on the other hand, cast puzzled glances at Shabelle’s side.
Thalia appeared to be in trouble because Shabelle, the host, appeared to be preoccupied with food, forcing Thalia to take over and serve the guest.
‘She’s a prospective empress. Is that all right?’
It would be preferable if I had to back Thalia as the prospective empress instead.
One of my girls called my attention while I was staring at Shabelle.
“What kind of cookie is this, Inaila-nim?”
“The cookie was made with almond peanuts. Actually, I believe these almond peanuts came from your estate, don’t you?”
“Yes, those were the very first almonds we picked this year. I chose the nice and perfect one myself.”
“It’s no surprise it was delicious.”
“Did you also distribute peanuts last year?”
“Yes.”
“It’s delectable! The sweet and savory flavor persists.”
It’s always the standard at a tea party to compliment the dessert, but I felt better when they said the sweets were delicious just to their taste.
The sweets were cut into bite-sized pieces, making them easy to eat, and everyone seemed to enjoy the sweets.
“This year has been full of blunders. My father was considering how to trade almonds.”
“Well……”
I heard that the former emperor strongly supported branding local specialties.
He died before the implementation, and the current emperor would not tolerate anything that the former emperor had accomplished.
For example, the local hot chili peppers and snow crabs are not allowed.
The almond peanuts from Lilan’s territory experienced the same fate.
Shouldn’t almonds from Lilan’s territory be referred to as Lilan’s almond?
Teas and desserts from each family have had their own names since ancient times. It was because the recipe was created by each family’s butler and chef and was passed down to their apprentice.
The same as Krenberia’s tart.
“Should we make Lilan’s desserts?”
“Are you going to give me a recipe?”
Lady Lilan’s eyes sparkled.
Rather than giving, it is appropriate to say invest.
“How about selling it in a bakery?”
