Please Don’t Remember Me - Chapter 3 Part 2. The Unlucky Princess
****
Today the butler not only bowed his head, he was on his knees.
“I’m …… really …… sorry and …… have no excuse.”
Clara asked him what the maid meant by “princess of the wrong place” and “princess of that place”. As a result, the butler was on his knees.
“It’s not your fault,” she said. “Lift up your head. It’s rather a difficult position for you to be in.
She sat cross-legged on the sofa and rested her cheek on her hand. It was an unbelievable situation for a princess to be in, she couldn’t help but swear.
In short, the Duke had not only mistresses, but also a lawful wife.
That’s it.
The princess of Bajona, who was in love with the Duke, could not wait for the Duke’s proposal and forced him to marry her on the same day that Clara arrived in Bajona. It was not only that she couldn’t wait for the proposal, but she also came here to ruin his marriage with Clara. The princess couldn’t have done it alone. It was the whole country.
The princess of Bajona was the first princess, the daughter of the first Queen, and Clara was the third princess, the daughter of a concubine of a neighboring country. Of course, they’d rather have their own princess than a princess they’ve never met before.
The princess was so jealous of Clara that she wouldn’t let him go, and so he wasn’t able to come to see her.
“I’ve been instructed to make sure that Lady Clara has everything you need and that all your wishes are granted, so that you can live in comfort.”
The reason she was under house arrest here was so she wouldn’t run into the princess of Bajona.
Finally, everything made sense.
There was no place for Clara from the start. Indeed, she was the unlucky Princess, the wrong Princess. There was no end in sight.
“…… And what else are you hiding?”
“No, My Lady. I swear it.”
The butler raised his head, but remained kneeling on the floor. Melissa, who seemed to have been attentive, placed tea in front of him. If he bowed his head once more and his nose would go into the hot tea.
“Well, you can go back now. I’m sorry to call you here when you’re so busy. Thank you.”
“Not at all, My Lady. I’m at your disposal.”
The butler stumbled to his feet.
“Ah, yes. You’ll do anything I ask, won’t you?”
“Anything I can do, My Lady.”
Despite his words, the butler trembled.
“I’m not going to ask you to see the princess. You can transfer all the maids who work in my house to the position of your choice. If you want, I don’t need a maid. I can clean and cook by myself. Please replenish the kitchen with ingredients only. You can come and see me once a day and I’ll ask you to take care of anything else I need.”
The butler’s eyes widened, hesitantly said before leaving.
“Yes, My Lady. As you wish.”
Melissa picked up the tea on the floor and drank it. “ I could have brewed it better,” she said lazily.
Clara thought this might be the last time she would see her.
She felt tired. Clara decided to just stay in her bedroom and enjoy the quiet time for the rest of the day. The Duke would not be coming here anyway.

She overslept. Lazily, Clara got up to get ready and left the bedroom to find Melissa cleaning the room.
“Good morning, Lady Clara.”
“Good morning, Melissa. Didn’t you go to see the princess over there?”
“No, I didn’t. The princess over there is very selfish and hysterical, and she makes a lot of noise. It’s much easier for me to stay with Lady Clara.”
“Well, thank you.”
The first time Clara saw her, she was so frightened, but now she was quite attached to her. Clara decided to have breakfast together.
“By the way, am I the only maid in the house?”
“I guess so.”
Clara started cooking in the kitchen, but Melissa couldn’t do anything about it. She was now sitting in a chair in the dining room, excitedly waiting for her breakfast to be ready. Clara wondered which one was the master of the house.
“I never thought I’d be able to eat food made by a princess.”
“Even though I am a princess. I eat normal food. Let’s eat.”
Melissa said a prayer of thanks and began to eat. She smiled and said,
“This is delicious.”
“Thank you, Melissa.”
“You’re welcome, haha”
Melissa didn’t hesitate to add more bread to her plate
