- Volume 3: Kanto And Johto Business Chapter 96 6: A Day In A Pokemon School
Waking up the next day after feeding his Pokemon in his Dream World, Soul got ready for a new day. What he didn’t expect was, Aqua asking if he would like to come and join her at the school for her last day in Blackthorn Pokemon School.
He didn’t think much of it and casually accepted it. He had never gone to school after his reincarnation and was home-educated, so he didn’t know how’s the school life in this world is.
Talking about education, maybe Ash didn’t get a proper education and that’s why he never grew so much throughout the series? If he was smarter, he would have a better chance to win the League.
Shrugging it off, Soul changed his clothes to a more casual one. He wore a black t-shirt with a Pokeball logo on it, a blue jacket that covers his t-shirt, and long blue pants with a pair of sports shoes.
He still wore his mask as he walked outside of the house where Aqua was waiting for him. Reaching outside, Soul saw a few peoples was beside her, a boy and a girl. They were a bit curious over why Soul wore a mask, they weren’t suspicious of him because Aqua already told her about why he’s here.
Soul: ‘Must be her friends. I wondered how Ashley, Opal, and Matthew are doing. I should go and call them once I’ve returned.’
Aqua: Ah, Finn. Let me introduced you to my friends, the boy named Jack, and the girl over here is Marie.
Soul: Nice to meet you.
Jack: You as well, are you perhaps a trainer?
He said pointing at the six Pokeballs hanging at Soul belt. Soul nodded with a smile, but they couldn’t see it for his mask.
Marie: I hope we can get along well.
Nodding again, both of them felt a bit awkward because of Soul. But they shrugged it off as they had seen much weirder peoples than Soul.
They all followed each other as Soul didn’t say anything on the way and only listened to their conversation while looking around the city once more.
Marie: Hey, Finn, can I ask you a question?
Soul: Sure, what would you like to know?
Marie: Why do you wear a mask the whole time?
Hearing this, the other two stopped on their conversation as they both were curious as well. Mostly Aqua since she hasn’t seen him without his mask ever since they’d met.
Soul: Personal reason, but I’m glad you ask so that we wouldn’t have gone through the question later on.
All three of them were a bit disappointed before they could say anything else, they arrived in front of the Pokemon School.
The school looked normal except for the Pokemon around the school. Aqua parted away with Jack and Marie as she and Soul went to register him as a guest student.
Soul: Why a guest student? I’m not here to study or anything.
Aqua: Because you’re young.
Soul: Fair point.
After they finished registering him as a guest student, Soul was led to Aqua classroom, where a lot of students were talking until both of them arrived.
The students were surprised to see someone else besides Aqua, who was a popular girl at their school. Some were jealous but didn’t voice out their option. They didn’t know their relationship yet.
Jack: Ah, hey guys! Over here!
Both Soul and Aqua looked over at where the voice came from and saw Jack and Marie were already sitting at their seats.
They both greeted each other as Soul took a sat on a window, there was enough space for him to put his butt on it.
After a few more chatting with Soul as the third party, a teacher came in as she begins to tell about today’s activity. She also introduced Soul with his fake name, Finn. There were two missing students today so he could choose to take one of their seats for today.
He chose the one close to the window, it wasn’t right beside it, but he was behind most of the student so it was fine.
The teacher begins to teach them about type-effectiveness and asked the student to tell what types are effective at what types.
The lesson was boring for Soul as he had already learned about it when he was only three years old. He wasted around 10-12 years of doing almost nothing. He would forget something once in a while, so when he could finally freely move around, he went to read all of the books he could find to get the information back.
The lesson went by as it was lunchtime and Soul didn’t bring any food with him. Luckily, Aqua had already cooked their lunches as she gave a lunchbox to Soul. He nodded and thanked her, saying that he would cook dinner for today.
All four of them went to meet up at a grass plain where most of the students ate outside. There was not much of a view due to the rocky mountains, but there were lakes and Pokemon to watch.
Once in a while, there was also a Pokemon battle between two trainers, who didn’t go on an adventure immediately and decided to learn more about Pokemon from the school before doing it.
Jack: Hey isn’t that Harry?
Looking at his eyes direction, all three of them saw a brown-haired kid, who was cornered by a group of four students. Soul didn’t know who he was nor did he care that much. There are always a person, who got bully in the school in every world, and region.
Marie: Its those guys again
Jack: Quick! Let’s help him out.
Before Soul could protest, he was dragged by the trio as all of their remained foods got left!
Soul: ‘Nooo, my foods! I haven’t even finished half of it!’
The four of them arrived there as they blocked the bullies away from Harry. Like a shield. The bullies seemed that they weren’t surprised to see them, indicating either that this must have happened before.
They all started to conflict with each other as crowds begin to appear to see the drama. In the end, they decided to end it with a Pokemon battle with four against four. Soul was once again dragged in some business he didn’t want to be involved in.
Aqua, Jack, and Marie chose the three starters of the Johto Region. They chose Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Chikorita. The opposite side chose Geodude, Furret, and two Houndours.
Soul: ‘Hmm what Pokemon should I choose? The intimating one or the weak looking? Meh, either way, I won’t lose this one.’
When he was about to pick Sylveon, one of the bullies yelled him to chose quickly, which made him accidentally pick Latios as it was called out from his Ultra Ball.
Seeing the Pokemon the crowd went silent. Even the guy, who yelled at Soul went silent and looked at him in shock. Heck, the teacher, who was about to stop them were shocked.
Soul: ‘Well when life gives you a lemon, I guess.’
