- Volume 4: A New Journey In Hoenn Chapter 131 27: A Show To Never Forget 3
After bumping into Lucia nothing much happened other than they apologies to each other before going to back their business.
While the break was happening, the video about Soul or what he would be called ‘Star’ in the video along with Sylveon performance started to trending.
The second round came with Soul beat his opponent’s easily. With only one hit, the opponent’s Pokemon fainted.
This increased his popularity as how strong his Sylveon was, not to mention, how mysterious he was.
All of his battles got recorded, sadly, it wasn’t a long one due to Sylveon one-shotted all of the opponent’s Pokemon. Even with that, the video views started to increase after a few minutes.
The viewers came most from the previous video with Soul and Sylveon performance, where other was just curious.
Clearly, to say through, Soul was surprised when the audience was calling for his name. He had already felt this kind of familiarity before so he handled it well and just waved to them before looking at his last opponent, Lucia Wood.
Her Ralts have evolved to Kirlia when they fought against one of the other coordinators. Both her and Kirlia was nervous as they saw how powerful Sylveon was. Still, they didn’t want to give up after coming this far.
Commentator: Now let’s present the finalists of Verdanturf Town Pokemon Contest! To the right side, we have Star and Sylveon, who have not only shown us a spectacular performance but also their unparalleled strength! And to the left side, we have Lucia and Kirlia, who also have shown us a wonderful performance. They have shown their power against their foes.
Both Kirlia and Sylveon looked at each other in the eye with Sylveon having a smile while she was bored inside her mind.
Commentator: Now, let’s the battle begins!
Lucia: Kirlia let’s go and use Double Team.
Several Kirlia’s suddenly appeared out of the air as all of them teleported to Sylveon in a circle position.
Soul: Sylveon use Swift on all of them.
With one quick spin, Sylveon sent several stars towards all of the surrounding Kirlia’s and hit them.
All of them turned out to be fake as the real one appeared on top of them.
Lucia: Now Kirlia! Use Disarming Voice.
Kirlia let out a sound that managed to hit Sylveon, who didn’t feel much from the attack at all. Seeing this, both Lucia and Kirlia became worried. But before they could do anything, Soul told Sylveon to also use Disarming Voice.
The move hit Kirlia, who couldn’t dodge as it fainted from the spot. With that, he became the winner of Verdanturf Town Pokemon Contest.
Lucia let out a sigh before returning Kirlia back to its Poke Ball and left the stage in disappointment.
When she went to the waiting room again, she was greeted by her brother who tried to comfort her. He patted her back as he said.
Tyler: There, there. It’s not your fault that you lost, he was just too strong. Not only for you but everyone else too. In fact, you two managed to hold them off longer than the other, so be proud.
Lucia: How am I suppose to be proud of that, Tyler? I’m not sad because I’ve lost, I’m sad because I didn’t manage to give it my all during that fight.
Tyler: At least you’re managed to land a hit on his Sylveon.
Lucia: Mmm I’m scared
Tyler: Huh?
Lucia: I’m actually scared to meet him again. W-What if he decided to participate in other Pokemon Contest too and I meet him in all of them? I-I don’t know what to do if I were to face him again.
Before he could answer it, the screen changed as both of the brother-sister pair looked over and saw that ‘Star’ was given the Ribbon.
When she saw that, she didn’t become mad. In fact, this fuel her determination to win the rest of the Ribbons in order to join the Grand Festival.
Commentator: Star, what are your plan in the future? Do you plan to participate in other Pokemon Contest after this one?
Soul: No, I just did this one because I was curious. Now that I have seen what’s it like to be here, I think this will be the last one, but who’s know? Maybe in the future, I would do it again.
Hearing this both Tyler and Lucia became surprised as they didn’t expect such an answer. It also made Lucia sigh in relief, but at the same time tense by the word ‘maybe’.
Lucia: ‘I didn’t think I would be scare by the word ‘maybe’ one day.’
Shaking her head, Lucia grabbed Tyler, who was surprised as they left the place. When he was about to complain about it to Lucia, he stopped as he saw how determined her expression was.
He let out a sigh as Lucia let go of him when they were out of the building.
Lucia: Brother, one day, I would become the best coordinator ever.
She said as she has now found a goal. A dream that she may, or may not one day fulfill. Tyler, who saw this just shrugged as their next destination would be Lavaridge Town where Tyler would get his third badge.
Back to Soul. He looked at the blue Ribbon he got in his hand. He tossed it into his inventory as he left the town and venture off to Rustuf Tunnel.
While he did this, Ash had won his third gym badge and was ready to go to their next destination. Verdanturf Town where May would be participating in Pokemon Contest.
As for Team Magma, and Team Aqua, they are currently discussing a certain project with Shadow League that would change the course of the original story.
Looking at the cave in front of him, Soul let out a sigh before his right-eye glowed as he started to walk into the dark cave.
