Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 13
Gan and Warren traveled back through Mt. Moon, at least the way they came. They both came across quite the amount of Zubat, there had even been a few 2-stars that Gan caught. A 3-star even appeared, but it was caught by Warren.
Exiting the cave, they walked towards the Pokemon Center. There was a man standing outside of the Pokemon Center selling something in a large fish tank he had set up.
“Selling Magikarp, each one is sold for ₱500, you can choose to eat them or train them!” The man dressed in the typical white-collar job suit.
Many people looked at the Pokemon being sold but looked away once they saw what it was. Magikarp wasn’t looked upon well by most people, they only saw it as a Pokemon that could be eaten and nothing more.
Of course, Gan wasn’t ignorant to think this, who in his previous world didn’t know what Magikarp could accomplish once it evolved?
“Hey, young trainers. I’m selling some Magikarp, what do you say, do you want to buy one?” The man hurriedly and spoke when he saw Gan and Warren walking over. This man had stationed his fish tank near the Pokemon Center.
“Magikarp? Let me see.” Gan looked at the fish, there appeared to be 6 of them swimming in the fish tank.
Gan had never seen this type of fish tank before, it was a magnetic fish tank that would attach together with magnets. The salesman could deconstruct and reconstruct it with ease, so it did well for traveling.
“Are you really going to buy such a useless Pokemon?” Warren knitted his eyebrows and looked at these Magikarp with disdain.
“They have the potential to grow, have you seen what they evolve into? If you did, you wouldn’t be saying that.” Gan replied then started inspecting the Magikarp.
All of the Magikarp had 1-star, but there was an oddball of the group that had 3-stars.
|Name: Magikarp
|Type: Water
|Level: 5
|Ability: Swift Swim
|Potential: ★★★
|Nature: Jolly
|Moves: Splash|
It didn’t even know tackle, but Gan thought it would be a waste if someone came by and decided to buy this Pokemon and eat it.
Without thinking any more about it, he purchased this Magikarp. It was easily caught with a PokeBall and became Gan’s quickly. Gan was originally broke, but after robbing that con-artist in Mt. Moon, his funds were up.
“Haha, thank you for your patronage!” The man bowed slightly then put the money in his pocket with a smile. The guy was clearly a fisherman, who came here to sell the Magikarp he had caught.
“Hey, have you heard, there’s been a series of robberies in Mt. Moon. It’s so bad that the guy who did it has a nickname now.” Just as Warren and Gan were leaving towards Route 3, they heard a conversation.
“Oh, I heard about that, you must be talking about the guy name Ghost Hands. I heard he stole from 2 Kids and 2 women, and even from the Old conman of Mt. Moon!” The teenager recalled this and was shocked.
“It must be Team Rocket, it has to be them. They’re taking advantage of the fact that the Police are more concerned about that Poacher Organization!” Another Teenager around Gan’s age said with anger.
“Damn, fuċk Team Rocket!” The group of boys started cursing Team Rocket thinking that they could possibly get robbed if they went through Mt. Moon.
‘Ghost Hands? Is that what they’re calling me?’ Gan was speechless.
“Hehe, looks like you have a nickname, good for you.” Warren squinted his eyes with a smile as he looked at Gan.
“It’ll be the last they hear of me, because I won’t be around here anymore.” Gan shrugged, he didn’t think he’d hear it anymore.
They continued to walk down route 3 and came across some troublesome Pokemon. Pokemon such as Sandshrew and a few more would ignore humans, but this wasn’t the same for Mankey and sometimes Ekans.
Gan and Warren had no choice but to beat these Pokemon and put them in their place. Gan had even caught a few of them, mainly Ekans, since they were one of the favorites of Team Rocket.
Other than that, it was smooth sailing to reach Pewter City.
Pewter City was bigger than Gan originally thought. This place was Centered around rock type Pokemon. This was also good for keeping Pokemon from Viridian forest in check, should they decided to attack anyone from the City.
Gan was curious about what those teenagers were talking about; it was about the Poachers. He asked Warren about it and he broke down a few things about them.
It was the Pokeballs they used to catch these Pokemon.
It was the Legendary DarkBall!
This PokeBall boosted the strength of a Pokemon but turned it evil and corrupted.
Giovanni was using this Poacher Organization as a distraction to keep the eyes of the Police out of Team Rocket’s business. Thus, it wouldn’t be the Police that took Team Rocket down, but instead, it would be a kid named Red later on!
Gan couldn’t believe it, just what type of Pokemon world did he land in? This Organization was mainly active in Johto, but they had some doings in Kanto as well.
Warren and Gan headed towards a few houses in the area. Pewter City was a place of history and showed many things of old times. There were statues of people, and even some were on a Rapidash’s back.
There were residence but not that many.
Gan followed Warren, who knocked on the door of a large house.
The man opened the door slightly and asked who it was. Warren whispered Team Rocket Forever and the man opened the door right away.
“Oh, my….” Gan was stunned, it was just like the entrances from those spy movies back in his world.
The large man looked at Gan and asked him if there was something wrong. He looked at Gan coldly; if he was a spy of some Police affiliation, then he would have to kill Gan on the spot.
“Relax, he’s new and has never been to the Pewter City’s base before, don’t get carried away!” Warren looked at the man with killing intent.
“Ah, I didn’t know, you go ahead.” He already knew Warren was a Real Team Rocket member and that Gan’s ID was the real deal, it couldn’t be faked.
Gan and Warren got onto an elevator and descended into the Pewter City Team Rocket base. Once they got off the elevator, he could clearly see the difference between Celadon and Pewter City’s Team Rocket bases.
The floor had a rocky look to it; it appeared to be made out of some strange stone. Celadon’s Team Rocket Base had Red Carpet all around with a few marble floors.
Both of them weren’t wearing their outfits, so they got strange stares, but they didn’t need to prove who they were.
Gan wanted to take and shower and turn in a few Pokemon here. He only wanted to turn in a few for money and Merit Points, so he could get an ID made at the Pokemon Center afterward.
Gan was new to this place, so he didn’t know where the Merit hall was, but Warren did. Under Warren’s guidance, they made it there in a flash.
“I was allowed to do as such, but that isn’t important, we want to trade some Pokemon in for Merit Point and Money.” Warren said bluntly.
“What do you have? I hope it’s something new other than the typical Pokemon on Route 3.” The man sneered, there were too many grunts bringing in these typical Pokemon.
“I’ll be selling a few Clefairy, so is that the typical Pokemon you get every day? Because if it is, then I’ll head to another base that’ll appreciate them more.”
“Clefairy?” The man’s eyes lit up and looked at with surprise.
“Are you really selling Clefairy? If you are, we’ll take them all!” The man hurriedly and said. Clefairy was a pain to find and even if you found them, you’d be put to sleep if you weren’t prepared.
“I have three for sale, with one having a Silver Potential(2-Star), how much are you willing to give?” Gan inquired.
“For three, I’ll give you 10,000 Merit Points for all three and ₱5,000!” The man smiled and said.
“I see you don’t take me seriously, so I’ll go elsewhere!” Gan turned around and proceeded to walk away, he knew he was being ripped off! Even Warren’s face changed hearing the amount he was going to give him.
“Wait! How much do you think they’re worth? We can negotiate a price, so don’t be so quick to leave!” The man’s voice turned cold.
“Don’t try that damn act with me, you’re trying to fuċkɨnġ rip me off, fuċk you!” Gan was done with these people thinking they could just boss him around.
“You..! To talk to me like!” The man couldn’t believe Gan would disrespect him like this, he was merely a grunt.
“Then stop trying to rip him off and give him a reasonable price!” Warren looked at the man with a stiff expression.
“Okay, what do you want to offer?” The man gritted his teeth, he had ripped off a few grunts before but Gan wasn’t apart of this Branch.
“₱30,000 for the 2 Bronze Clefairy and ₱45,000 for the Silver Clefairy. I also want 30,000 merit Points for both.” Gan quickly walked over and stated his price, his demeanor had completely changed.
“Why don’t you grab it!?” The man was outraged hearing Gan’s unreasonable price.
“Hey, you tried to rip me off, it’s no telling how many Grunts you’ve ripped off here. I come from the Celedon City Branch, this Branch is often visited by Giovanni and Executives. I wonder what they’ll think if they knew you were starving Grunts out of getting stronger?”
Gan had put on no face and revealed what the man had really been doing.
“W-what are you talking about? Are you trying to blackmail me?” The man started to sweat, he knew Giovanni favorited the Celedon City Branch the most, so he could get reported if they investigated.
“I am.” Gan said bluntly.
“…..”
“Just pay him the money, or else. You’ve scammed enough Grunts already.” Warren also intervene.
…..
…..
Moments later, Gan was heading towards the shower room to clean himself. He put all of his clothes he wore into the washing machine before getting into the shower.
Gan only had one pair of undėrwėȧr, so he needed to head to a store in Pewter City to buy himself more undėrwėȧr. He could only wait until his clothes from before were cleaned and dried off. After waiting 2 hours for this, he finally left Team Rocket’s base.
Warren had run into an old Rival of his when he first joined Team Rocket, so he stayed behind. The guy had a Primeape following him everywhere. Gan was given a City map, so he could know where everything was here.
The first place he went to was a clothing store to buy undėrwėȧr, he bought 15 pairs for himself before leaving.
Afterward, he went over to the Pokemon Center to get himself a Trainer ID.
To have a Trainer ID made, he needed to pay ₱10,000. This was also the only way to challenge Gym Leaders, so he needed one ASAP.
Nurse Joy had his Picture taken and he had to wait 30 minutes before getting it. He also bought a Badge Case Holder.
Gan sighed, he was doing a lot of walking today. He took a seat on a bench to relax, he pulled out some lemonade from his Void Storage that was still cold.
All he needed now was a Pokedex, so he needed to complete that mission in order to get one. He had thought of robbing Professor Oak of a Pokedex, but he had to consider that it might be trackable.
“It’s a good thing I can get one in a mission.” Gan started to contemplate on what to do next.
“Hmm, Viridian Forest or the Gym Leader?” Gan mumbled to himself.
