Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 19
Gan found a rock close by and took a seat; those dead bodies were quite a lot to take in. It was sad but he may have to get used to these types of scenes. Gan didn’t recall any of his Pokemon and left them out at all times.
The harvest wasn’t so bad, he had caught a good amount of Pokemon and he had even taken a few things from the dead men. Gan managed to get his hand 5 revives, but he couldn’t understand why the men had not used them.
He ran over his Pokemon’s levels again and found that Koffing had reached Level 24. Just as he was checking them out, heard some movement in a bush close by. Gan quickly rose to his feet, as his Pokemon got into a defensive stance in front of him.
At that moment, the creature appeared out of the bush. The creature resembled Caterpie, but it was light brown in color with a pink clown-like nose. There was a large horn on its head that was surely used to defend itself if it was met with any danger.

These Pokemon weren’t rare, so he wasn’t surprised to run into Weedle, no, for it run into him! Without warning, Geodude moved over and started slapping Weedle until it rolled over like a wooden log in pain.
Gan laughed and tossed a Pokeball to catch it.
The Pikachu from before was still watching from the trees, it was no telling what it was thinking. Gan wouldn’t waste his time training Pokemon he wanted to simply add to his dex. If he could catch them in their fully evolved form, then he would.
Kukuna would be a little challenging to get, well, it may be risky because they were usually guarded by Beedrill. Gan’s Pokemon and other Pokemon had a delay timer on when they could repeat the same move again.
Gan could take out a decent amount of Beedrill with Koffing and Geodude, but their Super-effective moves will be on a timer afterward. Seconds meant everything, and just a second off could mean life or death!
Gan wasn’t willing to risk it, so he would train this Weedle to reach 7 and evolve.
He was still in Zone 1, so there was nothing for him to fear. Gan didn’t know the levels of the Pokemon in Zone 2, but he would check it out once his Pokemon were in their 30’s. He left the way he came, but he still had some Pokemon to hunt around here.
Gan had found time to check the men’s Pokemon, they both had 1 Pokemon each. They were both fainted already with them being a Raticate and a Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto should have had the overall advantage, but it must have been ganged on and defeated.
Gan turned back and could still see that the Pikachu was still watching him from the treetops. It was jumping from tree to tree to follow him from above.
“Nosy fella, isn’t he?” Gan shook his head, he had to find a good time to sneak attack this Pikachu and catch it if possible.
As Gan continued on, he exited the Beedrill’s territory. Gan was curious, he could see that many different bug Pokemon hung out in Zone 2. Paras, Parasect, and Venonat. He believed that these sorts of Pokemon should be in their 20’s without question.
Judging from the map; things got serious when you entered the 3rd Zone. This was where Scyther, Pinsir, and even Venomoth made an appearance. Gan estimated that these Pokemon should be in their 30s, but this was only a rough guess.
Too bad, Gan’s life was more important so he left toward the exit of Viridian Forest, but he wasn’t leaving. The exit was to Viridian City, the next place he planned to visit for a little. Gan’s goal was only to hunt Pokemon, collect Badges, and get strong in this World.
Of course, he was also doing it for the adventure as well, but he had tread carefully in this while at it. On his way, he ran into many Weedle and Caterpie squirming about; the minute they saw Gan they would slither away as fast as they could.
In all honesty, it looked quite comical seeing their grave expressions as they ran away at what appeared to be… turtle speed!
“These are some funny Pokemon, were they created to be some type of joke?” That clown nose of Weedle’s couldn’t be any more than a joke, while Caterpie was pathetic as hell.
Continuing onward, he came across a post with an uncountable amount of humans standing by.
There was a sign that said: Viridian Outpost.
“Excuse me, sir, are you coming from Pewter City?” One of the men called out to Gan and questioned him. He sported a green camo outfit with a green construction worker helmet; his waist carried 2 PokeBall on them.
There were others here just like him that also wore the same uniform.
“I am, is there a problem?” Gan asked.
“No, but we need to see your ID to confirm your age; this area is restricted to certain age groups.” The man spoke surprisingly professionally, and he wasn’t arrogant by any means.
Gan did what he was told and show the man his ID; after running it through a scanner, he nodded and handed it back over to Gan.
“Thanks for your cooperation, you may continue onward.” The man smiled and went back with his business and kept watch. There were dozens of these men keeping watch, their job was to prevent dangerous Pokemon like Beedrill, Butterfree, and other dangerous Pokemon from going pass this area.
There were even men sitting in trees watch the sky to see if anything would fly over them. They mainly had their Pidgeottos and Pidgeys scouting the area and keeping watch.
Their parents were with them, with their strong Pokemon keeping close watch. They had some fully-evolved Pokemon, such as Ninetales, Nidoqueen, and more. Gan was stunned, as he watched all the kids chasing a fleeing Caterpie.
It still had that comical look on its face. These Pokemon were mostly harmless, but there were some that were quite dangerous, like Weedle, Oddish, and Bellsprout. Gan was looking for a Bellsprout when he saw some little boy catch one with his parent’s aid.
“Shoot, I’ll have to join in on this. I gotta catch one of those Bellsprouts!” Gan looked around but didn’t see any Bellsprouts anymore. He did see that there were more of those guards in the trees keeping watch!
“These dudes got this area on lock!” Gan nodded seeing this; this was the only way kids could get their first Pokemon. This was legal if the kids had their parents with them; the guards would keep watch if anything went wrong.
Nevertheless, their parent would still bring their strong Pokemon to help their kids catch Pokemon better than Weedle and Caterpie.
“Hmm…” Gan.. all the while had another Pokeball attached to his waist, other than just Koffing and Geodude. He had done this after the battle he had with those Butterfree; this was because inside of him he wanted to use this Pokemon.
This Pokemon was Magikarp, its level has risen to 12 after he had defeated those 5 Beedrill. Gan was torn between getting a Blastoise or using Gyarados.
Gyarados could fight in water and on land, it was a flying type after all so it could hover over the earth and fight. Of course, it would need to go into the water after a while to its natural habitat. This is what made him lean closer toward using Blastoise, it was his favorite Kanto starter, after all.
Gan looked up and saw what he had been waiting for, it was a Bellsprout. Just when he was going to walk over, some little girl engaged it in battle with her Nidoran(F).
“*Sigh* I don’t want to sit around here too long, do I steal that Bellsprout?” Gan looked around, but that was obviously not a good idea. The little girl was around 9 or 10 battling against the Bellsprout, it even had a 3-star talent!
The girl’s Nidoran(F) was level 9, while the Bellsprout was at level 6 so she had the advantage. After a while, the Bellsprout was defeated and caught by the little girl.
Gan stood up and walked over towards her slowly.
“Hey, kid,” Gan called out.
The little girl turned around and looked towards Gan.
“Huh, what’s wrong, mister?” The girl had short Red hair and big blue eyes.
“I’m not a mister, I’m only 16.” Gan said, “I want to trade with you, you give me that Bellsprout, and I’ll give you a cool Pokemon, what do you say?” Gan proposed. Her parents were watching closely, and they had even heard what Gan said.
“What cool Pokemon? Can I see it?” The girl was interested because she only saw the same Pokemon around here, and every kid caught the same type of Pokemon.
Gan thought for a moment and took out a Pokeball. He tossed it casually and the Pokemon appeared from it. Her parents weren’t stupid, they wouldn’t allow their child to get ripped off, so they thought he better not bring out something like a Metapod or Magikarp.
“Clefairy!” Clefairy called out its name once it appeared, it was one of the Clefairy with a 2-star Talent. Gan had 3 more 2-star talented Clefairys he had yet to turn in, but he’ll do that once he arrived back in Celedon.
“*Gasp!*” Her parents gasped in shock once they saw Clefairy appear, it was one of those rare Pokemon!
“Wow, it’s pretty and pink, I want to trade!” The girl looked once and made a decisive decision, she didn’t even need to think about it.
“Smart choice, this is a fairy type Pokemon called Clefairy. Fairy types are hard to come by, so your fortune is looking up today.” Gan recalled Clefairy and traded Pokeballs with the little kid before turning away.
Thank you, mister, thank you!” The little girl’s cheeks turned rosy from joy.
“No problem, I’m not a mister.” The kid didn’t seem to hear what he had said, as she ran over to her parent happily.
Her parents gave Gan a thankful nod before taking her away, they wanted to invite him to dinner but Gan seemed busy from what they could see.
The Pikachu from before was no longer following him, but it probably couldn’t. Gan had already been in this forest for about 3 to 4 hours.
The time he spent in this place, he had managed to catch 7 different Pokemon. The man who died in the Beedrill attack had his Pidgeotto added as well, it just switched owners once he died.
‘Just one more until I reach 30!’ Gan thought.
