Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 30
Another man appeared out of a room in the back, he took all 27 Beedrill away for inspection. This inspection included talent and the moves they could use. Pokemon was the main thing Branches needed to recruit more members, so Gan should earn a lot from this.
Gan only had 6 regular PokeBalls left after catching so many Beedrill, so he had to head to the Pokemart when he had the time. The Branch may need more Pokemon, but Gan needed was more TMs and money.
The inspection took a while, so Gan just waited in the back. He had already checked their talent, so he knew what he should expect. After waiting for 20 minutes, the man who originally took them away came back.
The man that didn’t like him so much didn’t want to deal with him, so he sent this guy to help him in his stead.
“From what we’ve measured, there is 20 Silver(2-star) Beedrill and 7 Gold(3-star) Beedrill. Each silver Beedrill is worth 8,000 Merit Points, while the gold ones are worth 12,000 points.” The man was reading this from some clipboard.
“As a bonus for contributing so much to the branch, we’ll give you an extra 10,000 Merit Points and one free item of your choosing.” The man said lazily.
That meant that Gan had earned 254,000 Merit Points for this transaction. Gan wanted to buy many things right away, he needed too many things. Gan handed the man his ID and he quickly added Gan’s points with a swipe.
The man had a device sitting on his clipboard that appeared to look like an I-pad from his world. The logo didn’t have an Apple but an R instead, it also seemed more advanced. Afterward, the man handed Gan his card back.
“You may as well hold onto it, for now, I’m going to purchase a lot of things from here.” Gan hurriedly and said.
“Oh, okay, what would like to buy, I can go get it for you if we have what you’re looking for.” The man sat Gan’s card on his clipboard and asked.
“I want some TMs, I want 3 Thunderbolts, 1 Icebeam, and 1 Poison Jab TM! Also, I wonder if you have any Nature changing Mints here?” Gan rubbed his chin and said.
“…”
The man was speechless.
“Well?” Gan looked at the man and said.
“Yes, we have all of those TMs, but we only have certain Mints at this Branch, so you might not find what you want here.” He was surprised because most Team Rocket members didn’t know about Mints.
They were flowers that were kept inside of a container to contain the scent. Once a Pokemon sniffed the smell into its body; the flower would lose its ability. On the other hand, the Pokemon would have a nature change due to the scent of the flower.
The man went into the back to get the TMs Gan wanted. Flamethrower cost 30,000 when he bought it, so Thunderbolt and Ice beam cost 30,000 each. Poison Jab cost 25,000, it wasn’t far off in pricing compared to the others but it was still a lot.
Gan with his already 32,000 plus 254,000 had 286,000 Merit Points. The man brought him the TM disc, then he charged Gan’s card.
Money was the most useful thing to him since it would take him a long way. Gan recived ₱100,000. This could be called semi-rich but he hadn’t even gotten half a million yet, so he was far off from truly being rich.
Gan was led to a back storage room filled with different items, he identified an item called Shadow Tag and many more. However, he didn’t come here for any of those items, for now, so this wasn’t of any importance to him.
“Here they are, these are what we have.” The man pointed to a shelf full of clear containers with different colored flowers inside of them.
“We don’t have those in this part of the Merit Hall, we only sell TMs and items here. We give all of the Pokemon we get from trainers to another Merit Hall outlet.” The man shook his head and explained.
Gan nodded as to understand; this made sense when he was back in Celedon. There was a separate area filled with machinery, so this didn’t change here. Gan asked him how much a jetpack would cost and whatnot.
The man estimated to about 75,000 to 80,000 or so.
Gan would run out of Merit Points at this rate but he suddenly remembered the TMs he stole from the scammer in Viridian. He had taken 3 TMs from the guy, that being Sandstorm, Power-Up Punch, and Frustration.
Gan pulled out the TM Frustration, he wanted to sell it to the Merit Hall. These moves weren’t sold in stores but a few Team Rocket Bases had a few onboard. They also had the move Return, but no one really bought this move.
As for Frustration, it was a top seller. The more the Pokemon hated you, the more damage it would do. The Team Rocket members here didn’t treat their Pokemon with respect at all, so it was a favorite.
Gan didn’t need such a move, so he wanted to sell it.
“Ah, what TM would this be?” He knew Gan wanted to sell this TM but he didn’t know what it was.
“This is the TM Frustration, I want to sell it.” Gan said bluntly.
The man was surprised, usually, Team Rocket Grunt would keep this TM to themselves. He didn’t say much and sold the TM For 40,000, it did around 50 damage, but with full hate; it doubled in damage.
Gan bought a [Timid Nature Mint] and got a [Modest Nature Mint] for free. The rest of his Team besides Nidorina and Nidorino had good natures. After that, he left the hall, it was best to find Warren so he could return to Celedon.
He asked the man at the front counter of the Merit Hall who didn’t like him so much. He told him that Warren had gone out to train and won’t be back until later today. The only reason he knew this was because Warren told him, he expected Gan to ask about his whereabouts.
Gan didn’t go to buy any Technological things here, he left the Team Rocket Base instead. He quickly went to book himself an Inn room before going back out to grab something to eat. He went to a store that was selling Pokemon meat, the attraction here was Psyduck meat.
He also bought some vegetables, he had to keep a good diet and not eat meat all of the time. Gan returned to his inn room to cook the meat up. The stall in Viridian already had the meat ready to go, but this wasn’t the case for a market.
While the meat was sizzling on the stove, he summoned 3 of his Pokemon. Them being Nidorina, Nidorino, and Grimer.
“Hehe, it’s time to learn a new move, we’ll start with you, Grimer.” Gan pulled out the TM Poison Jab and placed it on Grimer’s head. Suddenly, the disc lit up and turned into particles that sunk into Grimer’s head.
Gan checked its status and saw that it had learned Poison Jab as it should. He recalled Grimer and turned his attention to the Nido Clan.

Gan took out the TMs Thunderbolt and put them on their heads at the same time. Within seconds they both learned the move Thunderbolt. If he could somehow change their abilities to the hidden one, Sheer Force; they would benefit so much.
“This will also help me fight the Gym Leader Misty.” Gan was confident that he could fight the Gym Leader of Cerulean City for sure now.
Afterward, Gan checked on the Psyduck meat, but it still wasn’t done. So, he took the time to recall Nidorino, then he took out one of the mints. Gan took out the Modest Mint Flower, it was Cyan in color, as it also gave off a small tint of cyan light.
Gan kneeled down and had Nidorina take a good sniff of it for a while until the Flower slowly lost its ŀuster. Gan scanned Nidorina again and found that her nature had changed into Modest. He did the same thing for Nidorino in order to change its nature to Timid.
Gan sighed, then he summoned his main Pokemon team to feed them all at once. He told Grimer not to touch anything or give off that horrid stench around here. They went into another part of the room, he spent more money to get a bigger place this time.
Gan went to take a shower, then he suited up in his new clothes. Before leaving the inn, he recalled all of his Pokemon.
“I think it’s about time I went to check out the Museum around here..” Gan wanted to get his hands on an [Old Amber].
