Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 50
Voltorb’s charge beam engulfed Poliwag, its eyes went wide as it cried out in pain. Afterward, it fell to the ground and fainted. Arlo tossed a Poke ball at it and caught it with ease.
All at once, Machop had appeared next to Horsea and struck it with a Thunderpunch. Gan remembered fighting Machop before, and his confrontation with it for the first time.
Gan remembered wondering why it did so much damage when burned. He had forgotten that it had the ability Guts since he liked No Guard Machamp better. Koffing had been blown back far from that superpower back then, it was crazy.
However, he felt like Guts would be better in this world, as long as he could get a Flame Orb somehow. Horsea was on land, so it wasn’t a challenge to take down, along with Machop having a higher level—it was defeated with one shot.
After one-shotting the Horsea, Machop proceeded to attack a random Poliwag, well, the closest Poliwag. Then, he went to the next Poliwag, this stunned Arlo…was Gan planning on catching all of these Poliwags?
Gan was tossing Pokeballs like Baseballs with every Pokemon Machop defeated. At this point, he had caught 9 Poliwags and 5 Slowpokes. How could the sound of Pokemon Yelping in pain not be heard by the people in the house?
Gan shook his head with a smile and ordered Koffing to used Smokescreen near the entrance. Gan quickly recalled Gyarados and had Pidgeotto take Arlo away. Arlo recalled his Voltorb, as he was taken away by Pidgeotto.
“Who is it, how dare you trespass on our property?!” The man was furious but he couldn’t see who it was through the smoke screen.
“Go, Exeggutor! Use Egg Bomb!” The man tossed a Great ball.
And there, it appeared from it Great ball.
“Exeggutor!”

“Oh, no, that ain’t good! Koffing, keep hitting that area with Smokescreens!” Gan recalled Machop, who had stopped in place confusingly.
Right then, Exeggutor bent forward, then several large-sized eggs were launched from the core of its tree-like head. Wherever they landed, it would cause an explosion, but they were minor explosions; nothing serious.
Pidgeotto had appeared above Gan, ready to take him away. Gan grabbed Pidgeotto’s feet as it quickly flew up and away. Gan recalled Koffing on his way out and over the fence. The smokescreen had covered the whole yard at this point, and it didn’t help that it was nighttime.
“Let’s get out of here!” Gan recalled Pidgeotto and made a run for it.
…
Minutes later.
“I know you guys just got here but I think we should leave the city,” Gan stated his thoughts, they could no longer stay here. Less, they lock down the city and prevent anyone from leaving.
“I’ve got no problem with that, there really doesn’t seem to be much here. The police are tighter here, so they’ll act accordingly when that man makes his report.” Warren nodded in agreement.
“I’ve got no problem with that. I should be getting back to Pewter City anyway, I need to train my new pokes up. I’ve gotten some pretty good Pokemon during my travels with you guys, haha!” Arlo was satisfied the most, he just wanted to train now.
Gan also had to pick up his Growlithe tomorrow.
Gan, Warren, and Arlo had to leave tonight, they couldn’t stay overnight. Warren also wanted to return to the Celedon branch soon. So, they all disappeared into the night towards Mt. Moon.
Warren had left his Helicopter in the same place he left it last time him and Gan entered Mt. Moon—for the first time. It wasn’t exactly easy to see without any street lights, so Warren summoned his Golbat to aid them.
Arlo also called forth his Voltorb to light up the area as they moved forward. It would use charge to show them the way.
In no time, they all made it to Mt. Moon, but Warren wasn’t worried. When he and Arlo were going through the cave, they saw people still mining for fossils. Gan laughed to himself, he remembered it all too well. He had robbed some people here of their fossils before playing innocent.
He decided that he wanted to be different in this world when he came here. He had no Pokemon, so he opted to join Team Rocket. None of them were really tired, so they advanced through the group of miners.
Some of the miners recognized Gan and waved at him from afar. He naturally waved back in return before continuing on his way. Gan wanted to get his Growlithe from Viridian City then start training his Pokemon personally.
Afterward, he wanted to catch himself an Eevee.
“Damn, what a day. That small battle got my blood rushing and heart pumping hard.” Arlo felt a rush when fighting under the possibility of being discovered.
“Same? That was quite the grave situation. That Exeggutor was powerful, so it was good that we got away within the smokescreen.” They also weren’t seen, so that was a double win for them.
Gan could only imagine the owner’s expression after finding out that a lot of Pokemon from the pond were stolen.
…
An hour later.
Eventually, they all exited Mt. Moon. They had run into some annoying Zubats and Geodudes on the way, but it wasn’t hard defeating them. The Pokemon Center was there as usual; it was open 24/7, so it never closed.
The Pokemon Center was lit up with light. Once they walked inside, the only person present was a Nurse with green hair behind the counter.
“Hey, how may I help you guys?” The nurse smiled and asked.
“Ah, nothing, but thanks. I just wanted to sit for a little bit, then we’ll be on our way.” Gan went over to a vending machine and purchased a lemonade.
“Well, let me know if you guys need anything.” The nurse continued to smile, then she looked back down and continued writing something.
Gan sat down and opened the can of Lemonade.
“What’s the plan from here? Are you going to head back to Celedon soon?” Warren wondered what Gan was going to be up to from here on. He knew that Gan’s Team Rocket custom-made uniform was at the Pewter City’s hideout. However, he wondered what he was going to do from thereon.
“I’ll head to Pewter City to rest, then tomorrow I will go get my uniform before visiting Viridian City. I need to pick something up there, then I’ll head back…hmm… actually.” Gan thought for a moment, but he didn’t want to say it in front of Arlo, so he decided to wait.
“Viridian City? You might wanna be careful passing through Viridian Forest. The Pokemon there are a bit dangerous—unless you want me to fly you over it?” Warren suggested.
“Nah, you can do what you were going to do at the Pewter Branch. Also, I have something to say that might interest you later.” Gan smiled and proceed to gulp down his Lemonade.
Warren was about to ask, but Gan’s eyes landed on Arlo before he looked the other way. Warren understood right away, it was something he didn’t want Arlo to know about, thus, Warren didn’t ask.
Arlo was coming from the vending machine, so he didn’t know what they were talking about. He was broke, but he had a few dollars on him to get a drink. The lobby was quiet, they could feel the cool breeze from the air conditioners throughout the place.
Gan just remembered that he could have used Abra to Teleport them away, he’d be sure to keep that Pokemon’s ability in mind. This ability would serve to be of great importance for his little operations in the future.
After talking for about an hour, they left the Pokemon Center. Gan told Arlo and Warren that he was going to get a room in a hotel for the night. Warren was thinking about getting his Helicopter, but it was secured at that outer base, so he didn’t. Instead, he decided to stay the night at the outer base.
Arlo just went back to the Team Rocket hideout in Pewter City.
Gan paid the Inn fee, he was recognized by the owner. The owner actually gave Gan a 20% discount. Gan thanked the owner sincerely before going to the same room as last time. The last time he was here, he saw a Ho-oh. He was so stunned that he didn’t even get a chance to see its status.
There was a lot for Gan to do, he needed to also catch himself a Dratini now. His Gyarados was more than enough to handle one, with it having an Ice-type attack and all. He wanted to catch a Squirtle, but he couldn’t find one.
Gan ran some hot water, preparing to take a bath.
“What a day, so much walking.” Gan sighed. He had been a busy body since he entered this world.
One of Gan’s Pokeballs shook, then a Pokemon emerged from it.
“Haunter!”
“What the heck… I didn’t call you, why did you leave the Pokeball?” This Haunter was a bit rebellious, but it seemed to enjoy being this way with Gan. Without answering back, it licked Gan’s face without warning.
“Ahhh~~~!”
