Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 51
Following the next day, Gan rose up yawning as he stretched. He slept longer until it reached 1 pm, but he wasn’t bothered by it. To him, he had all of the time in the world to enjoy his journey. Gan was still in a hurry to some degree, he wanted to explore other places around Kanto.
Gan relaxed and ate breakfast afterward. He wanted to drop some of his Pokemon into the Pc, but he was worried about the dangers of not having them—similar to that Beedrill horde. Gan brushed and flossed his teeth, then he got dressed and left his room.
He greeted the owner and left the Inn. Gan was supposed to meet Warren at 2:30 pm at some food joint in town. This was where he wanted to explain what he wanted to—to Warren last night. It wasn’t yet the scheduled time, so he went to the Team Rocket base to get his uniform.
Gan was let inside once his identification was confirmed. This place was located near a factory that transported ores, this house was disguised as someone who managed it. Gan descended down the hidden elevator and arrived at the base.
The place was just as lively as before, he didn’t plan on staying long. Gan quickly went to the location he was told to pick up his uniform.
“F**k, it’s you again!” The man from before glared at Gan.
“I’ve come to get my uniform. It is for Agent X, do you remember?” Gan smiled and ignored the angered man, he was just here for his uniform.
“Hmph! Agent X? Trying to act all mysterious, huh?” The man turned to leave to see if something like that had come in.
‘Mysterious? That’s the whole point.’ Gan didn’t want to have his name out there, at least not yet. If one really thought about it; some of the Gym Leaders and even the elite 4 members had a hand in crime around Kanto and Johto. Those Elite 4 members and some Gym Leaders weren’t saints, so Gan was also on that bandwagon right now.
Koga, Surge, Sabrina, Lance, Agatha, and more.
“It seems something like that really is in for you. Here, sign this and pay up!” The man said nonchalantly.
Gan signed and paid the toll.
“Damn that little bastard! He caused me so much suffering! Maybe I should send someone to deal with that little ȧsshole.” The man sneered and walked towards the back.
…
Gan was thinking about leaving, but he decided to check out the Spy & Operation Department. He wanted to check this place out, he needed to buy a few things.
Gan went to see what they selling, he basically knew from last time but there may be some new items. And sure enough, there were new items and even a sale going on! There were many items on display, ranging from Jetpacks to giant machines that could drill underground.
“Oh, how can I help you? Are you interested in anything?” Right as Gan was looking around, he heard a soothing voice pass through his ears. He turned to see who it was, it was a middle-aged woman with brown hair and eyes.
She wasn’t a super beauty, but she wasn’t ugly either. The woman gave off a charismatic vibe, that could influence anyone with her voice alone. She was slender and wore an all-black female suit with a Team Rocket logo on it.
“Uh, and you are?” Gan asked slowly.
“My name’s Bella, I’m the manager of this department. I was just walking out when I spotted you browsing around.” Bella grinned softly.
“Oh, okay. I was just wondering. Anyway, I’m looking for some good spy gear. Gear that can gather intel, something that would prevent me from being noticed. I would also like a nice Jet pack with some flashbangs and stun grenades.”
Gan slowly stated what he was looking for. Bella should know the good quality stuff around here since she managed it. Bella was shocked hearing Gan’s request, was he going on some crazy operation or something?!
Bella couldn’t speak due to shock. From what she could tell from his age, he shouldn’t be doing anything special. He should be a grunt, but he wasn’t even wearing a TR uniform, however, he had his identification to prove who he was.
“Yes, I have all of these things. I’m sure you’re looking for the best quality here, right?” Bella was silent for a while before speaking.
“Good quality with decent and affordable prices, yes.” Good quality meant high prices, Gan only had 131,000 Merit Points.
“What’s your spend budget?” Bella had to know, so she could help Gan to the best of her ability.
“My budget is 131,000 Merit Points. If I have to go beyond that, then I can get more Merit Points by selling some Pokemon later.” Gan had some Pokemon he wanted to sell, but he had a bit of an issue selling them here.
However, he thought about it. He should care too much about Team Rocket’s problems since he wouldn’t be with them forever.
“Oh, you’re ready to spend big, nice! I have a good amount of things to sell you within this price range, right this way.” Bella turned and proceeded to lead Gan away.
…
They soon arrived in a different part of the [Spy & Operation] area.
“Here we are. This here is called a Spy Bee, it comes in many different flying insect forms. We have it in the form of Wasps, Bees, Mosquitos, Flies, and so forth. They all have built-in cameras that allowed the user to see what is going on through the camera on the remote.
Gan was interested right away, they all cost 45,000 Merit Points each. They came with two spy drones each—for each sale. Gan chose the [Spy Fly Drone], she also sold him some flashbang and stun grenades, which cost 1,000 Merit Points each.
Gan bought 10 of each—stun grenades and flashbangs. He didn’t need much but those Jetpacks cost too much, with the prices ranging from 70,000 to 120,000 Merit Points. Some jet packs came with mini rockets, parachutes, a helmet, and other safety precautions.
Gan just didn’t want to spend that many Merit Points on 1 item, so he decided to buy other useful things. He bought some smoke bombs and Laser Spray, he also bought a Netgun. Now, Gan was officially broke, without a single Merit Point.
Gan wanted to buy a voice changer, but he didn’t have enough for that.
Bella was all smiles, it wasn’t every day that anyone came to buy such a large amount of things from this department. Gan felt like he just went shopping at Best Buy, this place surely felt like it. Bella said her goodbyes to Gan, she hoped that he would come back in the future.
She saw that he was from the Celedon Branch, which stunned her at first. He was so far away from his turf, why was he here of all places? Bella was curious but it wasn’t her business, so she shrugged and went on with her business.
Gan returned back to the [Pokemon Purchase & Exchange Department]. There, he exchanged the Poliwags and Slowpokes he stole back in Cerulean.
This earned him a good 20,000 Merit Points.
As Gan was leaving, he was being stared at by a few people with greed in their eyes.
“Did you see that? Marko, that little weakling just earned 20,000 Merit Points.” A fat man said with greed.
“I saw it, Philip. As usual, we follow him, then we kill him to divide up his points. Do you know how long it would take to accumulate so many points? We can’t waste this chance!” Marko said with a sinister grin.
“Finally, we found fat sheep that can dish out so many points. Pewter City’s base is filled with rookies that are poor bastards.” Another man by the name of Ron said happily.
“Good, let’s keep an eye on him, let’s go!” Marko said with a grin.
…
Moments later, Gan was walking through Pewter City. He was going to meet up with Warren at some food joint. Gan ordered himself a drink before taking a seat and waiting, he had arrived five minutes early. The seat arrangement was set outside and inside of the facility, but he chose to sit outside.
And right on time, Warren had appeared. Warren ordered something to eat before taking a seat across from Gan.
“Gan my man, there something you wanted to tell me? I wonder what it was, it couldn’t be something not worth speaking of—if you want to speak to me in private about it.” Warren knew whatever Gan was planning wasn’t simple, he knew this from traveling with him for a while now.
“Of course, it’s something worth mention, it’s something very important. Have you heard of the Pokemon called Aerodactyl?” Gan wondered if Warren knew this much.
“Aerodactyl? I’ve Never heard this Pokemon before.” Warren shook his head slightly.
“Understandable. It’s a prehistoric Pokemon, so not many people know about it. It’s a Flying and Rock-type Pokemon, and it’s extremely fast.” Gan explained slowly.
“Flying and Rock? I’m interested. If this Pokemon is still around since it’s a prehistoric Pokemon, I would like to investigate it.” Warren’s eyes gleamed with great interest.
“Sorry, only certain prehistoric Pokemon are still around. Unfortunately, this Pokemon isn’t around anymore, you can only get your hands on a living one through its fossil. I’ve explained that already back then.”
“Yeah, you said that fossils could be revived on Cinnabar Island, right?” Warren thought for a moment, then he started to understand what Gan was hinting at!
“Don’t tell me you want to…”
“Yep! I want to steal a couple of Ambers from the Museum, are you up for it? Take a look at how the Pokemon looks before you choose your answer.” Gan took out his Pokedex and showed him a picture of Aerodactyl.
Gan’s Pokedex showed every Pokemon, it would only have a Pokeball next to the Pokemon’s name if he had caught it before.
“How sure are you that this operation will go without a hitch?” Warren took a deep breath and asked. Warren took one look at Aerodactyl and fell in love with it, he wanted this Pokemon!
“About 70% certain of success. You just need time to get ready, I’ll be leaving for Viridian City today. Once I’m back, we can make preparations to get those fossils, what do you think?”
Warren sunk into deep thought for a moment and nodded slowly.
“Let’s make it happen!” Warren smirked before a man came over with his food.
