Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 53
The nurse feeding and playing with Growlithe turned to the door to see another nurse entering. However, her gaze landed on Gan following behind her, she obviously knew who he was for him to be back here.
Growlithe also gazed at the door when the woman came in. Growlithe eyes landed on Gan and she was delighted, she wasn’t mad or hated Gan. She knew he was the reason why she was feeling well—Growlithe wasn’t oblivious. Pokemon were intelligent, this was enhanced depending on what type of Pokemon it was—with Growlithe being a Dog-type.
The nurse that came in gave the other nurse the side-eye, then she quickly went to a cabinet.
“My gosh, Growlithe, you’ve gotten stronger. How do you feel?” Gan walked over and rubbed Growlithe’s head.
“Growlie~!” Growlithe rubbed her head against Gan’s hand with her eyes close, showing that she felt good. To Gan, it was like being with a regular dog.
“Nurse, Lana, right? Thank you for all of this.” Gan caught the nurse’s name from her name tag.
He thanked her sincerely, he like this Pokemon a lot. Gan had run into one when he first came into this world, it was no telling how strong it was, though.
“Oh, no problem. I came into this job because I love all Pokemon, and I will do all I can to make sure a Pokemon is healthy and safe.” Lana smiled deeply, clearly moved by Gan’s words.
Afterward, the nurse came over with a bottle of pills. This nurse, who was named Jen, explained that there were 30 pills in the bottle. Growlithe was to take 2 a day in order for it to be fully healed. Procuring Growlithe her pills would start tomorrow since her surgery was completed yesterday.
Gan took the pills before he was given his Love ball back—which was the ball she was encapsulated in. This type of Pokeball also improved her attitude, making Growlithe’s love grow for Gan and others around her.
Gan obviously did this on purpose.
After leaving the Pokemon Center feeling satisfied, he went to find himself an Inn for the night. It was the same Inn as before, where he was once again recognized. However, he was given a different room because his previous room was being occupied.
This room he got was 2 times bigger than that one anyway, so he wasn’t fretting over it. After checking the room out, he left the Inn towards the wild. He was heading toward the south exit, in Pallet town’s direction.
Pallet Town wasn’t as close as people may think, he wasn’t going to Pallet yet but he wanted to camp out here. There were a lot of Pidgeys and Rattata’s in this area. There were a few Bellsprout as well, which caused his eyebrows to twitch for reasons. Gan found a large empty space in the forest—an empty circular area without any trees.
Gan released Machop, Growlithe, Rhyhorn, and Abra. These Pokemon were apart of his League team so far, along with Gyarados if he couldn’t find a Squirtle. He also summoned Geodude, Koffing, and Grimer, who he warned to not stink the area up.
“Hey, everyone, it’s time for us to camp and enjoy ourselves! You guys have worked so hard over these past days, you deserve this.” Gan said happily to his Pokemon.
Everyone looked confused at first when they saw so many of them being summoned. They thought a huge fight was about to occur since this was usually the case with mass summonings. But, his words left them confused as to what was going on.
Gan pulled out a bunch of stuff he got from the [Life Beyond] store. He started ȧssigning tasks for his Pokemon—like gathering wood and water.
“Oh, boy, this is going to be good!” Gan took out some Mago Berries, these berries were spicy. He rubbed his hands together in anticipation. He bought a recipe book at the [Life Beyond] store, so he was confident in what to make.
Machop went to was a small river nearby to gather some water inside a pot. While the others gathered sticks on the ground.
“Hmm, sweet and spicy, huh?” Gan read over the words in the book, he decided he wanted to make this.
He had plenty of berries and meat for everyone here. Unless he had a Snorlax, he didn’t see himself running out of food. Gan already had a large table with a few teaspoons and other things for cooking ready.
Today was hot and sunny, it was a good day to enjoy a picnic and camp with his Pokemon. Besides, he needed this, and so did his Pokemon; they needed to know about these types of things. Machop bought the water over, to be exact, carried it over his head steadily. It went back a few times to get more water.
Gan didn’t ask Grimer or Koffing to do any work task, he just had them watch the perimeter. He places 5 jars of honey on the table, alongside the various different berries he had. Gan summoned Pidgeotto just in case some Pidgeys grew bold enough to steal from him.
Geodude, Rhyhorn, and Abra brought over some sticks. Well, Abra teleported over with sticks floating around it. In its current stage, it spent most of its time sleeping until it would evolve into a Kadabra.
“Growlithe, heat it up!” Once they placed the sticks, Gan ordered Growlithe to light them on fire. Growlithe unhesitantly shot a small Ember attack at the sticks and they ignited, it wasn’t immediate, though.
While were waiting for the water to come to a boiling point, he started to divide up the berries and pull out the meat. Looking back a forth at the book, he started placing berries and meat together. Gan ordered Koffing to shoot a flamethrower under the pot to up the heat faster.
Temperatures shot up quickly and the boiling had started. Gan couldn’t wait for it to boil itself, so he had Koffing do this. Gan dumped some rice, meat, and berries inside. These were sweet and spicy type berries. He poured 5 teaspoons of honey inside the Cauldron, afterward.
The aroma instantly aroused his Pokemon’s hunger and attention. They all understood what he was doing now, and they were excited. Gan gave it a good stir for a while before putting the top over the pot.
The aroma could be smelled from half a mile away, it was spreading fast. How could it not attract the attention of wild Pokemon?
Even Pokemon Gan wasn’t expecting to see here had shown up! Most of the wild Pokemon watched from afar, they didn’t dare get close. Pokemon could sense how powerful other Pokemon were, so they knew Gan’s Pokemon wasn’t to be tested.
Gan just sat and conversed with his Pokemon, despite not understanding what they were saying. He really wished he could understand them, perhaps the system would give him such abilities as a reward in the future.
The good thing was that they could perfectly understand him, which was required. Gan thought to himself, he wanted to visit Pallet town tomorrow. He wanted to scout around a bit to monitor the situation there.
Everyone knew how thin Starmie’s defenses were, but this could be just the world itself.
“She wants to fight me in a 1v1 next time. I’ll be ready for sure next time, just you wait for me.” Gan said to himself.
“Huh? Ready for who?” As Gan was talking to himself, he heard a slightly haughty voice behind.
“Who the…!?” Gan was alarmed and so was his Pokemon, they looked like they were ready to attack whoever it was. He quickly moved away and looked behind him to see who it was.
It was a female, she had pale pink hair, with pink eyes. She appeared to be around 14 or 15 if Gan had to guess, maybe she was even 16. She wore a pink t-shirt with a Clefairy on it and a pure white skirt. She wore sandals that revealed her pink polished nails, her hands were on her hɨps in a haughty yet uppity manner.
Gan sneered slightly in his heart, this chick had an arrogant aura around her.
“So you’re the reason I smell something so good. You’re camping here of all places? Pallet Town isn’t that far from here, why camp out in this hot weather?” The girl asked with a strange tone.
“That’s why I’m camping here because it’s hot. Who are you? You just walked up to me saying things without introducing yourself?” Gan scoffed softly.
“You!” She wanted to rage at Gan, but she stopped herself. “Ahem, my name is Aria, but my friends call me Pink, what’s your name?” Pink said with a smile that seemed a bit forced.
“Nice, so you do have manners, not bad. My name is Gan.” Gan nodded and introduced himself.
Veins appeared on the side of her head hearing Gan’s first set of words, but she calmed herself.
“Nice to meet you, Gan. May I know what you’re cooking here?” Pink asked gently while flicking her long hair out with a cute smile.
“No.” Gan said bluntly.
“Wow, that sounds tas…. What!?” Pink’s expression darkened after realize what Gan had said.
