Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 61
Gan and his team went in another direction, it was a good thing he had a good memory, or they would end up getting lost. Gan sighed, he had randomly thought of the Pokemon Murkrow and Honchkrow for some unknown reason.
‘I’ll have to add that Pokemon to my team in the future.’ Gan thought to himself.
By this point, Gan wasn’t expecting to see any new encounters. He believed he had caught everything there was to catch here, except Scyther and Venomoth. Eventually, he ran into another Pokemon, it was a new encounter and it wasn’t alone.
“Oh, boy, oh boy!” Gan lowered his body as he gazed at the family of Pokemon. It was a family of 5 oddish, 2 Glooms, and a Vileplume.
…
|Name: Vileplume

Gan concluded that it must have found a Leaf Stone sitting around here somewhere. There could be no other way, if not this. Gan only had 40 Pokeballs left, while the rest were Great, Ultra, Luxury, and Premier Balls.
Pokeballs were the cheapest, so he opted to use them up first.
Grimer quickly drew in its scent, it smelled like a sewer filled with rotten animal corpses! Gan suddenly remembered the Pokemon entry for Muk. The scent would grow five times worse, and he was guaranteed to throw instantly. Gan started to feel a headache just thinking about it, he may need to only farm exp for a little while before returning.
Many Pokemon, mainly Charizard, was standing quite some ways away from Grimer. Growlithe wasn’t liking Grimer’s smell either, but she didn’t slight him about it. Haunter wasn’t bothered by the smell at all and just hovered around Gan’s head most of the time.
Grimer retracted its smell, it was a good thing it could control this ability. If Grimer had its other ability, it wouldn’t be able to control its scent.
In any case, Gan ordered his group to attack the family of Pokemon. He was mainly seeking to catch that Vileplume, but he may as well catch them all.
No pun intended.
Everyone attacked quickly, Haunter flew over and this didn’t go unseen by the family of Pokemon. Gan ordered Haunter to use Mean look on them to prevent any of them from escaping.
Haunter’s eyes flashed white, and when those Pokemon locked eyes with Haunter, they felt like something had entered their bodies. It was as if a chain was suppressing them, and if they were to run within a certain range; they wouldn’t be able to escape the chain that was holding them at bay.
Right as they understood this, they all attacked all at once. Clouds of poisonous powder were flung through the air.
“Graveler and Kadabra, get away from those purple spores!” Gan hurriedly and said. Kadabra acted quickly by touching Graveler and teleporting away just in time. It was indeed a smart Pokemon, able to make split decisions within seconds.
“Poison Jab that drooling Pokemon!” Gan was talking about Gloom, who had some drool hanging from the corner of its mouth. Grimer quickly identified what Pokemon this was—when its fist lit up with purple light.
Grimer ignored the little Oddish around it and Jabbed Gloom right in the face!
“Glooooom!!” Gloom was punched away and sent sliding and rolling across the ground. The ȧssault didn’t stop there. Haunter used Night Shade on the opposing Gloom, as chaotic black energy shot from her eyes, and hit gloom’s body.
Vileplume couldn’t just sit by and watch them bully her mate, so she went on the offensive after seeing their Poisonous attacks fail.
“Sucker Punch, Haunter!” Gan laughed. Just when Vileplume was about to attack—a black fist appeared out of the void and slammed across its face. Vileplume was stunned but knocked back from the attack.
However, Vileplume recovered quickly, but she was, unfortunately, attacked by a strange force that invaded her mind. This attack caused decent damage and it hurt worse than the physical attack she had just sustained.
Kadabra was standing in the distance, its eyes were lit up with blue light. It was currently using Confusion on Vileplume. While Vileplume was experiencing a terrible headache, Graveler rolled over and finished it off.
Gan was simply standing there giving out orders and nothing more. This way of life was easy, he said things and it got done.
Gan actually started having thought of taking fighting lessons from the Gym stationed next to Saffron’s Gym in Saffron City. This was, of course, if such a thing actually existed here, which Gan believed should.
Haunter and Kadabra were the only ones to level up in this fight so far. Poisonous Pokemon were quite a problem to deal with, at least the ones that could shoot off deadly spores. Fortunately for Gan, he had many poisonous Pokemon onboard for such alterations.
Their little exploration continued, they battled a group of Butterfree this time. This battle was surprisingly not easy, these Pokemon knew a Psychic move. It was also a bug type, which would make it hard on Kadabra if he were hit.
Graveler could deal with this group, it just sat back using Rock Slide on the group. With a struggle, the group of Butterfree were ultimately defeated in the end. And even if they somehow beat Gan’s Pokemon through some miraculous means, he still had Charizard in the back waiting for some action. Yes, Gan didn’t care, he was taking advantage of the tools he had on board to make things happen.
This battle against the Butterfree put them to the test. Butterfree was by no means a stupid straightforward attacking Pokemon, it could plan and coordinate with its group. These were the thoughts of Gan, he knew Butterfree was a group of challenging Pokemon but not to this extent.
Gan’s Pokemon took a break to eat and relax. Gan wasn’t hungry, he ate earlier and didn’t do any battles besides moving his mouth and issuing orders. He was more thirsty than anything else, so he just drank some water instead.
“Man, those Butterfree were no joke, huh? You guys almost got nailed in the end, but we all pulled through.” Gan couldn’t blame them one bit or himself, really. They weren’t really good at group battles, he just used the type advantage against the enemies.
“Yeah, it’s the spoon guy’s fault, if he used his Teleportation move right, we could have taken them down faster.” Haunter’s feminine voice was heard, but she blamed Kadabra, who had linked Gan to understand everyone here.
“Hmm, why should I use my skills on someone who can fly already? None of us here can do that, float away, why don’t you.” Kadabra said calmly and carelessly, he didn’t seem to care about Haunter’s feelings and opinions.
“Hmph! Master loves me more, and has known me for much longer, what are you? Next time, follow your senior’s lead by doing as I say. My lovely cute Master will always be able to understand me the most.”
“Me think, we did all good in the fight because we win fight,” Graveler spoke, but his wording and the way he spoke seemed a little strange.
“You, why did he even waste teleporting an idiot like you everywhere anyway?” Haunter looked at Graveler with a sinister grin. Haunter was the leader of a pack back in Lavender Town’s tower, so she was quite bossy.
“Me… don’t know.” Graveler’s expression fell before he looked towards Gan, wondering if he could help him with this question.
“Simple, if you were watching then you would know his attacks were really effective against those Butterfree. Pay attention, you dumb ghost, it would have been better if our Master left you in that tower to rot away for all of eternity.”
Kadabra smirked before gulping down the bottle of water.
“Little Junior, you must not know who you’re talking to!?” Haunter was completely infuriated hearing Kadabra trying to make her out to be an idiot, while talking about her status as a Ghost-type Pokemon.
“Hey, hey, it’s clear we all have a lot of work on, even me. Let’s just stop the training for today and head back. No more fighting and just eat for now, and no more ŀɨċkɨnġ, Haunter.” Gan took the time to add a few things into the mix, like demanding to not be licked anymore.
“What? I can’t lick you anymore, that’s impossible!” Haunter’s voice was filled with complaint, she didn’t want to stop ŀɨċkɨnġ Gan.
Haunter’s face turned ghastly, her eyes widened in a horrifying manner that nearly scared the crap out of Gan, how could she make these sinister expressions? But when it finally came to him, she was a Ghost-type Pokemon, this should be the norm, right?
“You stinker, you shut up!” Haunter glared at Grimer.
“I’ve… tried… to… smell… myself…, but… I… don’t… smell… anything.” Grimer sniffed under its arm, but he couldn’t smell anything, in fact, Grimer couldn’t smell, to begin with!
Everyone’s mouth’s twitched, including Charizards, who was just watching the show. Gan finally got everything under wraps with these guys, but everyone clearly needed to come together at some point.
Gan headed back in the direction of the reservoir where he left Royce. They came across some Pokemon on the way, by battling and defeating them. They advanced well in level, which was fairly decent to Gan.
After a while, the reservoir came into view. Gan recalled all of his Pokemon except Kadabra before appearing on the scene. Royce was simply laying against and rock with Rapidash and Infenape sitting around doing nothing but relaxing.
However, when Gan gazed over in another direction, he saw a group of water Pokemon laying on the ground. They appeared to have been beaten at some point, as they were laying there knocking out.
Their body injuries clearly showed signs of battle, due to the wounds they had.
‘Oh, there are some Pokemon here that I don’t have!’ Gan quickly reached for a Pokeball, it was clear what he wanted to do.
