Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 63
Gan’s eyes couldn’t scan the Scyther from such a range, so he could only wait until it was closer to him. He was both excited and worried at the same time, but more so excited since he had Royce and his squad with him.
“Damn it! I hate bugs!” Royce looked into the distance with a frown when he saw the swarm of bug-looking Pokemon.
‘Well, what do you expect when entering this forest?’ Gan thought. Looking at the Pinsir group, they all kept their eyes on Scyther’s group swarm coming over.
Gan summoned his Growlithe, with the already summoned Machoke and Kadabra. All of Royce’s Pokemon were ready and on stand-by for whatever.
“It’s not like I haven’t had to fight bug Pokemon groups and teams before. I fought people like Aaron of the Elite four before, this is nothing compared to battling him.”
Royce remembered Aaron’s Drapion, its typing wasn’t that of the bug type. However, its appearance was that of a large scorpion. Scorpions were arthropods and not bugs, but he still saw them as bugs anyway.
“That’s a relief to hear.” Gan sighed in relief. There were many of them, so he wasn’t sure if they could all be taken down without one of these bugs getting too close.
‘S**t’s about to go down, you may need to translate for me.’ Gan was linked with Kadabra, so he spoke inside his mind.
Royce’s team of four looked ready for action, though they were feeling rather annoyed. This was because the food was going to be done soon, but trouble came knocking. However, it was better for trouble to arrive before—rather than while they were eating.
Scyther and its swarm got closer before they began eyeing Gan, Royce, and their group.
Actually, it had a scout out early that spotted these humans and ran back to report. The leader Scyther was going to send a group to deal with these pesky humans. However, it received another report that they were being invaded by the Neighboring hemisphere.
Scyther knew why this was happening, this was because the Pinsir Leader’s son had come here as a spy but he was found out and killed in the end. Afterward, the mother Pinsir freak out and went to confront the Scyther leader.
However, she was defeated and chased by a group of Beedrill. Fortunately for her, she wasn’t killed, but instead, she was caught by Gan! This Leader Pinsir was actually here to retrieve his mate, but she wasn’t being held prisoner by the Scyther Leader.
Finally, Gan could scan the Scyther since it was close enough.

Gan thought for a moment, the nature wasn’t bad on a Scyther at all. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good in the long run if you wanted to evolve your Scyther into a Scizor.
Scyther averted its eyes away from Gan’s group and proceeded to scoff before saying something to the opposing Pinsir group.
Kadabra translated the whole conversation between both groups. Gan’s expression changed slightly, this was all about that Pinsir he caught earlier, or was it really? Scyther mentioned that the Beedrill he sent for her had disappeared as well and that he believed Pinsir was only acting like it knew nothing.
“Filthy liar, prepare to die you wicked Species!” Pinsir was livid, this guy had killed his son and now he had kidnapped his mate!
What followed next was the order to attack, as both group completely disregarded Gan, Royce, and their Pokemon. If they were paying attention, they would have noticed how dangerous those 4 Pokemon with Royce were.
Butterfree was a special attacker, so it could use range attack effectively. They were the first to attack by shooting Psybeams. In mere moments, the sky was filled with beams shooting through the sky.
Of course, Pinsir’s whole group evaded these attacks before rushing to engage them all.
“I knew it, they were planning to battle here!” Gan squinted his eyes due to the bright combination of colors. At least they weren’t worried about them, but he had something just for them.
Psybeams laid waste to a large amount of trees in the vicinity. The Leader Pinsir immediately flew over with his Pinsir soldiers to attack the Leader Scyther.
“They’re ruining everything, we need to end this quick or things are gonna get worse.” Royce stared at the large army of Pokemon fighting. There must have been like 40 Pokemon from each side battling!
Gan asked Kadabra something and it nodded its head, seeming to confirm Gan’s answer.
“I got an idea, Royce. Are you up for it?” Gan turned to Royce and said.
Large trees shook and fell all at once when a beam came flying near their direction. Gan and Royce looked over in shock, the pot had tilted over and wasted!
“Roar!!!” Infernape, Camerupt, Rapidash, and Charizard roared in rage seeing all that food go to waste. Growlithe howled in grief, how could she not understand how good that food was possibly going to be?
“I’m ready to hear it!” Royce’s eyes turned red seeing his hard-made food wasted just like that.
With a sigh, Gan explained his plan. It really wasn’t much, but it should be enough to get most of these Pokemon in one fiery net.
Royce nodded before looking toward Kadabra, who nodded his way. Pokemon were falling out of the sky at this point from being defeated. Butterfree tried to stay away from the Beedrill by launching ranged attacks at them. Invisible sharp winds tore through the air and dismembered a few Beedrill, this was the Air Slash move.
The Leader Scyther’s attacks were swift, it slashed its scissor-like blades towards the Leader Pinsir like knives. Pinsir was blocking and parrying its attacks with his large horns, you could even hear clanking sounds.
Scyther was just too fast and its nature made it even faster.
“You’re too slow, you’ll be dead soon! I should have done this sooner than later, haha!” Scyther mocked.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, I won’t die until I avenge them both!” Pinsir’s eyes turned bloodshot.
Scyther flew over towards Pinsir in a hurry to deliver the final blow—before it could then execute Pinsir afterward.
“Begone!” Scyther roared in laughter, but just before it could land its attack; the void shifted.
The Pokemon flying through the air suddenly started falling out of the sky. They seemed to have suddenly lost their ability to fly and even levitate. Scyther and Pinsir were no different, they came crashing down just like their troops.
Before they could figure out what was going on, most of them were drowned in a sea of flames! Those that were hit by these flames were Insta-defeated. Scyther and Pinsir couldn’t even understand what had happened before they fainted in defeat.
Gyarados, Kingler, and Horsea were already summoned to handle these raging flames. There were still some Pokemon in the sky far off in the distance.
“Wow, it actually worked. We managed to get a whole bunch of them in one go from that ordeal.” Royce laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes, he was really upset about the whole food thing.
Gan had actually told Kadabra to use the move Gravity, causing the Pokemon flying to all fall at once. This, of course, could only be used within a certain range, and the ones that were within range had fallen from the sky.
Gravity could be used in two different ways. For negating flying and levitating Pokemon and for pressuring Pokemon with the harsh Gravity—this meant it could even be used for training.
“They were all defeated just like that?” Gan, of course, meant most of them were defeated. Gan’s eyes were a bit greedy when they landed on the defeated leader Scyther.
Kadabra played a big part in this, so it leveled up a lot from this encounter. Gan successfully caught Pinsir and Scyther, he was so happy that his hands were shivering slightly. He caught the other Scyther and Pinsir guards next to them; they all had good talent, which was 3-stars!
The other Pokemon that didn’t get hit with the Gravity, looked on in shock. Their Leaders were actually captured by those pesky humans!
They came over the attack, but the Gravity in this territory hadn’t expired yet. They immediately lost their ability to fly once they entered the Gravity zone. Growlithe and Rapidash went over to attack the stunned Beedrill and Butterfree, while they were in a stupor.
Gan saw many Pokemon laying on the ground, but he simply didn’t have enough Pokeballs to catch all of them. Of course, he caught as many as he could until he ran out of Pokeballs. These Pokemon were Money and Merit Points.
Gan needed to change the natures of many Pokemon he had with him. He was certain that Celedon City’s Branch had everything he needed, it was the riches Branch in Kanto after all. Royce’s mouth went agape, did this guy catch anything that was defeated.
Royce believed Gan to be some kind of collector or something. There was no way any normal trainer would try and catch anything and everything like this, especially the same Species of Pokemon.
Due to the destruction caused on this side of the reservoir, they relocated to the other side. Royce was still upset about what happened, but Gan had extra ingredients for another go. With that, Royce started the whole process over again.
As Royce started the fire, Gan peered into his storage at the astronomical amount of Pokemon he had caught. “I’ll have to load up on more Pokeballs when I go back to Viridian City. I need to always keep a good number of Pokeballs on me.”
Gan began to revive the Pokemon that were defeated from the lake. This was for them to go hunting because he wanted to level his Nido duo. They both had Thunderbolt, so they could really put a hurting on everything in this lake.
It was getting late and Gan didn’t plan to sleep in Viridian Forest. After they had enjoyed their meal, he would leave this place. Royce spoke about the rewards they would get, but he was sure it wouldn’t be much since nothing really got done.
Gan would probably settle for some money and that was about it. Once those water Pokemon were revived, he sent them to hunt some other Pokemon. This was only for his Nidos, so he wasn’t really trying to catch anything unless it was a new Pokemon sighting.
Gan had no more regular Pokeballs anyway.
“Well, may as well relax and enjoy the food that is to come.” Gan still had many things to do after leaving Viridian Forest; his next objective.
Pallet Town!
