Pokemon: Ultimate Generations - Chapter 65
-Professor Oak’s Lab.
Many scientists could be seen walking back and forth through the laboratory. Some of them were monitoring and studying certain Pokemon species behaviors.
Through all of this, Professor Oak was conversating with two trainers in midst of these events. One was his Grandson Blue and the other was Gray, who currently had an Eevee sitting on his shoulder.
“Evo~” Eevee looked around curiously, it had mainly been summoned when it was time to eat, play, and when it wanted to explore, it was just summoned at night for these things. This was mainly due to the way Gray wanted to train his Eevee, and what he really wanted it to evolve into.
It mostly battled Zubat at night time, so it was a highly alert Pokemon.
“What? You’re actually still around? I’d expect you to be under some tree sleeping until the sunset.” Blue grinned before turning to look at the Eevee on Gray’s shoulder, but he quickly lost interest in this Pokemon.
Blue obviously knew that Eevee was one of the more amazing species of Pokemon, so it wasn’t bad. Unfortunately, it was the type of Pokemon he didn’t really want on his main team, but he was interested in one of the Eevee’s evolutions; that being Umbreon.
“Yeah, I’ll be doing that soon, right after I leave here.” Gray nodded and was too lazy to truly respond to Blue’s provocations.
‘This guy!’ Black lines appeared on Blue’s forehead. This guy was as shameless as he had ever been. Blue thought.
“Okay, no fighting. You guys already had many battles before this, you guys are too energetic.” Professor Oak quickly cut in.
‘Energetic? I bȧrėly said anything.’ Gray was somewhat speechless, wasn’t Blue being ‘energetic’?
“Well, in any case, you wanted something, Gray. What was it you wanted to ask for, you seemed a bit anxious earlier.” Professor Oak smiled and said.
“I was wondering if you could do me a favor by giving me a TM? I’m willing to give it back to you later once I purchase or find another one down the road.” These thoughts came to Gray once he was told the information about the next Gym Leader, he had to start building countermeasures right away.
“This can be done since you didn’t ask for any TM’s like the rest of them in the past. I have yet to give you a TM as a gift anyways.” Professor Oak nodded and agreed right away.
“Great…I want to the TM [Calm Mind] if you have one on board.” Gray wanted to teach his Eevee this move after it evolved.
“Hmm, I’m sorry, I don’t have this TM. This TM is exclusive to the Saffron City Gym Leader after you defeat her. You can buy this TM in other Regions since the rewards for defeating Gyms there are different, but here, in Kanto; that’s a Gym Leader reward.”
Professor Oak shook his head, this wasn’t something he could just get in this Region, even as a famous Professor.
“So this TM is a Gym Leader reward, huh?” Blue scratched his temple with a smile. The fact that Gym Leaders gave rewards, other than just a Badge really spiked his interest.
“Oh…” Gray sank into thought for a moment before asking for another TM. He opted to ask for the TM-Dark Pulse, which was hard to come by in the Kanto Region.
“Fortunately for you, I have one more of those left.” Professor Oak had some device in his hand that checked the inventory and stock within the Laboratory.
“Perfect!” Gray sighed in relief, this was a powerful special attacking Dark-type move. In fact, it was better than getting Calm Mind; something Gray believed he would be getting later anyway. Blue was watching from the side, he to had to prepare when all of them set off, which was really soon.

-Viridian Forest.
Gan, Royce, and their Pokemon were currently done eating from the pot by this point. Everyone had satisfied expressions after they were finished. During the time that it was cooking, Gan had his Pokemon draw other Water Pokemon up from the lake.
Gan could care less about this, in the meantime, he had his Pokemon draw other Pokemon to the surface. He instructed his water Pokemon to bring weaker Pokemon to the surface, they could feel and sense who was weak compare to them and who was not through Aura.
This was all to train his Nidorino and Nidorina.
Most of the Pokemon were defeated in one strike by the overwhelming power of Thunderbolt. It was a really strong electric move behind Thunder, despite not being stabbed. Gan continued to have the duo fight these Pokemon until the food was ready.
By the time they were done, they had both leveled up to level 24. Beaten down Pokemon were starting to pile up like a mini mountain at this point.
“The sun is starting to set, I think it’s about time we left Viridian Forest and headed back to Viridian City.” Royce stood up and stretched his arms into the air, giving off a relieving sigh.
“Yeah, everything was completed in one day, this is the best result ever.” Gan had come here early in the morning, he never could have imagined that his day would end like this. He caught some highly relevant Pokemon—when he only came here to train in the weaker Zones.
“Once again, thanks for everything, this was one of the greatest gains in my life.” Gan was truly grateful, it would have taken him a while longer before he could spawn the confidence to come here.
“No Problem! I’m also here to learn and explore Kanto, so this was a learning experience for me.” Royce just didn’t like being alone when exploring places like these, so he wanted to group with Gan when he saw him. He found that Gan was a trainer of Kanto, and opted to choose him, it could have been anyone that was a trainer with a badge, honestly.
Gan’s Pokemon started to pack everything up before he stored the items away. He recalled his Nido duo and the rest of his Pokemon once everything was stored away.
Gan was satisfied with his trip today, he got on Rapidash’s back with Royce and they raced off towards the exit. Sadly for Gan, he wasn’t able to find those Squirtles ever again from before, which was a huge loss for him.
On their way, they spotted many Pokemon, but one of them stood out to Gan. It was another Pikachu sitting in a tree eating some berries. Gan said something to Royce, who ordered Rapidash to stop before he turned toward the trees.
….
|Name: Pikachu
|Type: Electric
|Level: 21
|Gender: Male
|Ability: Static
|Potential: ★
|Moves: Tail Whip| Thunder Shock| Growl| Play Nice| Quick Attack| Electro Ball| Thunder Wave| Feint| Spark|
….
It wasn’t as good as the previous Pikachu, but it was better than nothing. Gan could capture and evolve it later with a Thunder Stone, which would be another addition to his Dex. This was really what mattered to him the most.
Gan summoned Kadabra, who quickly targeted Pikachu with its Confusion move. Pikachu took heavy damage from the Confusion attack, it had even become confused from the attack and fell out of the tree.
Before Pikachu could hit the ground, it was caught by Kadabra’s psychic abilities and brought over. Once Pikachu landed, Gan ordered Kadabra to use Shadowball.
Pikachu was defeated and caught just like that. He was forced to use a Great ball to catch Pikachu because he was out of regular Pokeballs.
“Now, I’m truly done with this forest.” Gan smiled deeply, revealing all of his teeth. He recalled Kadabra before climbing onto Rapidash’s back again and leaving.
About an hour later, the sun could be seen on the horizon which indicated that it was setting now. They both arrived at the outpost where the outpost rangers were as usual; they seem to switch shifts often.
“Hold it right there.” The rangers called out to them. Gan and Royce quickly confirmed their Identities and who they were. The rangers were surprised and hurriedly and called their superior over.
Their superior knew the situation already from the Charizard earlier. The man sighed before handing them their rewards, it wasn’t much. They were each given a suitcase of money as a reward for their effort, but the Rich man was upset he couldn’t find traces of his son.
“Thank you. Now…we’ll excuse ourselves.” Royce was doing all of the talking in this situation. Gan started to recall something he needed to do later just in case.
“Alright, you guys be safe.” The ranger shook his head before letting them through. They were having some problems earlier because Royce had beaten up a certain someone.
“Actually, I’m done here. I’m not heading to Viridian City, I’m making my way to Saffron City for now. So, Gan, this is where we part for the time being, but I’m sure we’ll meet again. I hope.” Royce turned his head slightly and said.
Hearing this, Gan got off of Rapidash.
“Oh, yeah, we’ll definitely meet again!” Gan wanted to become the Champion, so if he succeeded, it would surely happen.
“I figured, but until then, I’m off. Be careful and cautious as you have always been. I heard the gang here in Kanto and Johto was Team Rocket, they seem deadlier than the gang I have to deal with back in Sinnoh.”
“Wait, do you mean Team Galactic?” Gan asked to be sure if he was referring to them.
“Right. Team Galactic is quite troublesome back in Sinnoh, they always seem to be trying something but are always being held at bay by the Champion and the Elite trainers.”
“I’ll be on the lookout then.” Gan nodded with a smile, he would never tell anyone he was a part of Team Rocket for the time being.
“Alright, I’ll see you around. I’m heading to Saffron because I heard they had a Gym there that was trying to get certified but can’t. I want my Infernape to challenge these fighting Pokemon, or at least, train there a bit.”
“If you stick around there for a while, you’ll definitely see me later.” Gan and Royce talked a bit more before parting ways. Gan believed that if Royce really knew what Team Galactic was planning, he wouldn’t think Team Rocket was a bigger threat.
Afterward, Gan quickly arrived in Viridian City where he could see people closing their stalls on the streets. Gan went to his Inn, he didn’t bother to heal the beaten-down Pokemon from before at Pokemon Center.
“Time to take a bath! So many things worked out today, it’s such a good feeling when things come together.” Gan readied a bath before taking his clothes and getting into it to refresh.
“Do I go to Pallet Town right away and start my little operation?” Gan said to himself. He concluded that he would head to Pallet to monitor Professor Oak’s lab before stealing a few things. Gan knew he had to have limits because if he was too greedy, he may get caught.
“I guess I’ll check it out secretly tomorrow..” Gan laid back in the tub with eyes closed and a relaxing smile.
