PRESIDENT QIN'S LITTLE WIFE IS THE STRONGEST - Chapter 112
112 My Money Can Raise The Both Of Us!
After spending about six hours modifying the equipments so that they could start work effectively, Rong Yue collapsed on a bench, exhausted.
On the surface, with that heaven defying face, she appeared like someone that wouldn’t bother with a lot of things especially since she carried an air of indifference and laziness around.
Yet, anyone that knew her also understood that when it came to being responsible, no one would work as hard as she would when it was something that mattered.
Song Jian sighed as he passed her a bottle of mineral water, “you have worked so hard, you should drink some water,” he said with concern.
Rong Yue raised two fingers as she told him to wait for some minutes. Everyone in the room including Lu San who would occasionally take his phone and type some update to the big boss were all looking at her without a word.
Eventually, after about five minutes she raised her head up and looked at all of them.
“Thank you, I just needed to catch my breath really quick,” she said, then took the mineral water that Song Jian was still holding from him.
Since she stood up, some trendils of her hair already scattered and some were touching her cheeks. Too lazy to move them one by one, she used one hand to sweep through her hair and arrange it before she uncapped the water.
She chugged the entire bottle down in one swing unaware of what that simple action had done to the people nearby.
…..
Even Song Yan who was a girl felt her heart racing at a different speed.
Everyone loved beauty, in the eyes of a master beauty like Rong Yue, it was hard for anyone to maintain composure and even Lu San had to shake his head and cough to regain his mind.
Thankfully the call alerted everyone and they snapped out of their daze.
“I’ll come by in three days to see how it’s performing. In the meantime, I’ll go ahead and optimize the recipes to make them special.” She said with a small smile at Song Yan who flushed harder.
The two siblings escorted her out and as if remembering something, Rong Yue paused mid stride.
“I happen to remember that you have a younger sister, I hope she’s not too bored staying alone at home?” She asked with concern.
“No, it’s better that way so she can watch over our mother and the house, either way, she still has to stay at home to read,” the both of them were almost saying the same thing which reminded Rong Yue of something important,
“Have you moved from the place I visited last?”
Song Yan and Song Jian shared embarrassed looks as they looked at each other, seeing her raised eyebrows, Song Jian had no choice than to speak up.
“We were planning to move after the launch of the store,” he explained.
Rong Yue nodded in understanding.
“I’ll drop by tomorrow then, we would discuss matters.”
However even though she was still talking to them, her brain waves already told little Loli to make contract between them and her so that she could bring it along tomorrow.
She had thought about allowing them to live with her mom, after all, her mother was getting better and she was also doing her research.
Initially, Rong Yue had made plans to see the doctor but then she realized there was nothing the doctors here in City A can do.
She was also afraid to tell her mother that there was something wrong with her brain and her not remembering anything so that her IQ was not tampered with.
So she had instead drawn a plan and started introducing her mother to reality TV and so many dramas that could help her understand the way people were and how life worked.
The next step she wanted to do was take her for a test in the capital, she planned to do that when she was going for the next level of her competition, that way, her mother would also meet her master.
Since everything was all planned, the only thing remaining was the team of doctors that would do the final job.
Her mother diskliked modern day medicine. And it wasn’t the normal kind, it was the type that she felt from deep in her bones, Rong Yue suspected that her mother had once gotten involved with the modern medicine practices in a way that had led to trauma.
For this reason, she found it difficult to even propose any method to her.
In the last life, she had been as helpless like that and eventually, she had no choice when her mother’s brain started to deteriorate.
“Master, learn medicine and operate on your mother,” the little loli’s voice rang out.
Rong Yue sighed as she heard that. It was something she had also thought about. Besides with her experience from learning from her mother and what they had been thought in the organization, she could do some basic things.
Like this, so that when she became the robot’s body, her movements would not be too stiff, the organization had made her spend hours with doctors and researchers learning everything they were doing. With her high memory, she had learnt a lot from then but lacked the basics.
Seeing that she was considering it, the little Loli spoke up excitedly.
“Downloading all medical related textbooks and materials that can teach ancient Chinese medicine and modern day medicine from the system base,”
Rong Yue sighed as she heard that and eventually gave up. She would do as the system suggested. Learn it until she found a suitable doctor that could take charge, either way, it wasn’t a knowledge that could waste.
There was also the part where she had higher chances as she had resources from the future that were not yet in today’s medicine. If she learned well, she would be able to build modern day technology that would aid the operation.
Before then, she had to make sure that her mother’s condition didn’t deteriorate.
“Originally, I wanted you to help me check into where we could get raw stones and ores in large quantities that can be for my plan, but as you have decided to download so many data, I can only wait until you are done.” She grumbled to the system as she sat down inside the car and leaned her head backwards, she was till feeling a little exhausted.
Before she could doze off, she got a call, as she pulled out the phone and saw Teacher Lu’s name there, she squinted her eyes a little and then picked it up.
“Hello, teacher Lu,”
“How are you, Rong Yue, congratulations on your result…”
“Thank you, teacher Lu. Is anything the matter?” She asked intuitively as she heard the hesitation in his voice.
“Nothing much, just that the principal wants you to come to school tomorrow to discuss some certain things. If you are free..”
“Okay, I’ll drop by at school tomorrow, thank you for informing me, teacher Lu!” She said politely and then hung up.
It was very possible that teacher wanted to increase the coaching and see if they could push them further. She was not surprised, after all, that was the way the human mind worked.
Originally they wanted them to just pass the stage where they would have the best ranking from A city, after seeing that they managed to enter the top 30 in the province.
They would of course try to push them further so that their ranking for the next round wasn’t too shabby.
The next round of exam had about 300 people competing including the people that had their province fall in Beijing and closer cities. It would be difficult to rank well but top 100 meant something huge for them.
After ending the call with teacher Lu, she thought that she finally had the chance to sleep on the way home, unfortunately, her phone rang not too long again.
Her brows furrowed even more tightly but as she saw the name on the screen, without realizing, her entire demeanor changed greatly.
“Yue, how can you not care about your body and work for six hours straight?” Qin Yichen asked as soon as she picked. His voice was lazy and sultry with a little bit of dominance.
As she heard his words, she shot a glance filled with annoyance at Lu San who hurriedly grabbed the steering wheel tighter and looked away.
“He was exaggerating, I only worked for some hours, but I got tired in the legs and needed to lay down,” she said without blinking and even Lu San wanted to cry out in grievance!
She had worked six hours and called it some hours???
“Just some hours huh?” Qin Yichen returned her words to her with the same voice that had Rong Yue losing control of her emotions.
“It’s just some hours,”
“Hmmm, if you don’t admit your mistake, I’ll come down and check my self, perhaps, you will work only ‘some’ hours daily,” he said, this time, she could hear the seriousness in his words.
Rong Yue sighed in defeat, not confessing but not repeating her previous stance.
“There’s already food at home, shower, eat and sleep. There’s no need to work so hard all the time at a stretch, hmmm, my money can raise the both of us,” Qin Yichen deliberately reduced his voice to the lowest volume so that as soon as she heard it, Rong Yue felt a certain feeling pressing against her chest as she felt warm all over.
Unable to say anything to his words, she decided to run. “Okay, bye!”
Without giving him a chance, she hung up directly!
