Priestess Of The Land - Chapter 131
“…And what exactly is your plan, calling out all these guards,” asked Crei, still calm and composed.
“You left us no choice, they weren’t originally for you, but given the circumstances, they are still of use for this situation.”
“…”
Lord Aten stood up and walked forward.
“Little Chen, you truly have grown bolder, you wish to forcefully take my niece, in my presence? Must I remind you that she’s also part of my Moon Land, so what is so wrong about her going there? Oh, wait, no you want her to be with one of these good for nothings?” Lord Aten pointed at the princes sitting next to the emperor.
“Ha! I have already thought this through, her mother had married in my Sun Land, renouncing her Moon citizenship, therefore, even if Tria has the blood of the Moon Land running through her, she is still a full citizen of my Sun Land, there is nothing you can do to change that!”
“I see, and you think your dumb sons have something better to offer her as a husband?” Lord Aten added.
“Of course, do you know how many women wish they could be Empress?”
“No, the right question is do you know how many women wish they could be the priestess, not needing a man to make them what they are, and are strong and independent, like my niece here. It is Crei’s luck to have married her, not the other way around, what gives you the right to think you’d be doing her a favor?”
Lord Aten’s skin was brightly radiating a glow, as his emotions were getting more intense, he was definitely enraged.
“Uncle-in-law is right, it was indeed my luck to have met the love of my life, not after she was a priestess, but before. I would still support her through anything if she wasn’t the priestess, that’s what being a man is about,” said Crei.
The emperor, empress, and sons were all baffled by Lord Aten’s and Crei’s statement. The emperor felt that they were being cowards, while the empress was feeling resignant, if only her husband had the same mentality. However, the princes were only wondering if such a thing was possible, wouldn’t it make women lose respect towards their husbands? No way, they thought.
“Stop the act,” the older prince said,” the priestess stays, maybe it’s about time you left the Sun Land, haven’t you overstayed your welcome anyways?”
Tria could not take that prince’s insult towards Crei anymore, she was about to do something but was stopped by Crei.
“Alright, I’ll leave but my wife is coming with me, not because I’m forcing her to but because it’s what she wants to do,” Crei said.
“I’m sorry Crei, but this is too great of a loss, you must annul your marriage with her, then you can leave. Let us have her, my Sun Land will be stronger than ever, and we’ll go down in history. Imagine a royal priestess Empress, how divine!” said the emperor, imagining the nonexistent future.
“..”
“You brought out guards, asking my husband to annul our marriage, taunting my uncle, thinking little of me, talking about my life as if I’m not standing right here, listening to your crap. I have shown you enough respect as the emperor, and enough respect as the fake father-in-law that you were, I no longer have any respect to show you, we’re leaving.”
Tria was really upset, but it wasn’t anything she hadn’t expected, this emperor was not his era’s favorite, and not many good things could be said about him. Leaving is the best option and the last favor she’ll do him.
“You can’t leave, guards surround them!!!” Emperor Chen got up and yelled out.
At the same instant, a flash of light and darkness flew across the room towards the throne.
“I have had enough, do you truly wish to die so badly? You wanted to know my identity right? Well then take a good look, and let me know if you think your puny thousand humans guards can live after confronting me?”
Crei had transformed to his goldly form, and flashed across the room, and straight for the emperor’s throat, lifting him off the ground.
The empress fell off her chair, along with her two sons, terrified and endlessly shaking.
